Timothy W. Lake Tim Lake, TV News Anchor and Host

Philadelphia, Pa

Tim is a successful career TV News Anchor who performed the primary anchor position atWCAU-TV, Philadelphia for more than 11 years (2001-2013) following weekend and weeknight

news anchor positions in Houston, Texas and Charleston, South Carolina.

Tim has covered and anchored news programs for some of the biggest stories of the past few

decades for television news including the Iraq War (from Washington, DC), hurricanes and

other natural disasters in the Carolinas, Florida and Texas, commercial plane crashes, the John

du Pont and Catholic priest trials in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania coal mine miracle, 9-11,

Presidential Inaugurations, political conventions, and Hurricane Sandy.

While Tim’s primary role has been as TV News studio anchor, he also has extensive experiencein live on location news anchoring and breaking news live reporting for multi-media platforms

including TV, Radio, Website, Twitter and Facebook.

Long format TV performances include live anchoring news and sports events such as the

Philadelphia Eagles playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl, Philadelphia Phillies World Series

celebration, Triple Crown attempt by racehorse Smarty Jones, anchoring live shows from a

chopper for the Jersey Shore season opening and Delaware River flooding events, major East

Coast snowstorms, annual Longwood Gardens Christmas show, New Year’s Eve fireworks shows

in Philadelphia, and several documentaries for TV station sponsors.

During his tenure at WCAU, Philadelphia, Tim anchored nearly every newscast including noon,

4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 pm shows. His longest stint was as solo anchor of the station’s 6 pm

newscast and co-anchor of the 11 pm newscast with Renee Chenault-Fattah, 11 years. Often,

Tim would work through the day on special station documentary programs and then return to

anchor the evening and late-night newscasts.

Extensive experience has given Tim a polished yet still fresh approach to delivering the news in

a clean, clear and rapidly crisp style with precise diction, cadence, and authority while still

projecting a warm and friendly personality so important to a successful television newscast.
