Drage kolegice i dragi kolege novinari,
dobro došli na još jedno izdanje Audi FIS Ski World Cup „Snow Queen
Trophy“ koje i ove godine okuplja najbolje svjetske slalomašice i
slalomaše. Tijekom godina sljemenska utrka ističe se, osim blizinom
glavnom gradu i brojnošću publike, i vatrenim navijanjem te izvrsnom
atmosferom. Vrhunska organizacija „Snow Queen Trophyja“ svrstala je
Zagreb uz bok najuglednijim svjetskim skijalištima poput Val Gardene,
Garmisch-Partenkirchena, Kitzbühela, Wengena i Val d’Isèrea te su
sljemenske utrke uvrštene u „Club 5+ Ski Classics“, klub najboljih
tradicionalnih organizatora utrka Svjetskoga kupa. Istodobno je
Međunarodna skijaška federacija uvrstila sljemenske utrke u kalendar
do 2020. godine ukazavši time veliko povjerenje Hrvatskom skijaškom
savezu.
Uz tradicionalne slalomske utrke ove je godine Zagrebu pripala čast
obilježavanja 50 godina FIS Svjetskoga skijaškog kupa. Tim smo
povodom pripremili atraktivan program na središnjem zagrebačkom
trgu koji dodatno obogaćuje ovogodišnji program utrka.
Kako bismo vam tijekom ove sportske manifestacije omogućili što
jednostavnije obavljanje novinarskoga posla, uz istovremeno uživanje u
vrhunskom sportskom i zabavnom programu, od 1. do 6. siječnja 2017.
na raspolaganju vam je naš novinarski tim dostupan u tri press centra.

Audi FIS Ski World Cup „Snow Queen Trophy“ 2017. – Zagreb/Sljeme
Dear fellow journalists,
welcome to yet another edition of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow
Queen Trophy” event, which will once again gather the best male and
female slalom skiers from around the world. Throughout the years, the
Sljeme races have distinguished themselves with their proximity to the
capital city and the number of spectators, their fiery cheering and an
excellent atmosphere. The top-notch organisation of the “Snow Queen
Trophy” has put Zagreb in the company of the world’s most prominent
ski resorts, including Val Gardena, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Kitzbühel,
Wengen, and Val d’Isère. Moreover, the Sljeme races have also been
included in the Club 5+ Ski Classics, a union of the leading traditional
World Cup race organisers. Furthermore, the International Ski Federation
have demonstrated great confidence in the Croatian Ski Association by
putting the Sljeme races in the calendar until 2020.
Alongside organising the traditional slalom races, this year Zagreb has
been given the honour of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the FIS Ski
World Cup. For that particular occasion we have prepared an appealing
programme, which will take place on Zagreb’s main city square, thus
additionally enriching this year’s races.
In order to make your work assignments as simple as possible and
to enable you to enjoy the top-quality sports and entertainment
programme, our press team will be at your disposal from 1 January until
6 January 2017 in all three of our press centres. This pocket edition of
the bilingual guide features all the relevant information about the press
centres’ working hours and organised transport on the race days, as well
as useful phone numbers and contacts for the press centre heads.

INFORMACIJE ZA FOTOGRAFEKako bi smjeli pristupiti stazi, fotografi moraju imati numeriranu propusnicu za stazu (photo bib). Njih prema FIS-ovim pravilima dodjeljuje isključivo voditelj fotografa na za to predviđenom sastanku fotografa, pritom poštujući FIS-ovu (A1 i A2) listu prioriteta. Stazi je dopušten prilaz za maksimalno 40 fotografa, no zbog specijalnih uvjeta direktor utrke može naknadno smanjiti broj fotografa s pristupom stazi.
Sastanci fotografa bit će održani u press centru u The Westin Zagreb hotelu:
za žensku utrku u ponedjeljak,2. siječnja 2017. u 16.00 sati
za mušku utrku u srijedu,4. siječnja 2017. u 16.15 sati.
Molimo vas da budete točni jer naknadno neće biti moguće dobiti broj. Brojevi za stazu izdaju se za svaku utrku posebno.

INFORMATION FOR PHOTOGRAPHERSIn order to be able to access the race course, all photographers must have a numbered course access pass (photo bib). According to the FIS Rules, they are assigned exclusively by the Chief of Photographers at the relevant photographers’ meeting, in compliance with the FIS priority list (A1 and A2). A maximum of 40 photographers will be allowed on the race course. However, due to special race course conditions, the Chief Race Director can subsequently reduce the number of photographers allowed on the course.
The meetings of the photographers will be held at the Press centre of The Westin Zagreb Hotel:
for the ladies’ race – on Monday,2 January 2017, at 16:00
for the men’s race – on Wednesday,4 January 2017, at 16:15.
We kindly ask everyone to be punctual as it will not be possible to issue numbers at any later time. The course numbers will be issued for each race separately.

PRIJEVOZ MEDIJAOsnovne informacije o prijevozu predstavnika medija:
Poseban „shuttle“ prijevoz službenim vozilima organizatora bit će organiziran za sve predstavnike medija od hotela The Westin Zagreb do hotela Tomislavov dom na Sljemenu (Sub press centar) i natrag.
Odatle će predstavnici medija moći doći do ciljnoga područja i natrag skijaškom trosjednom žičarom.Osim gore navedenog prijevoza, u danima natjecanja bit će organizirana posebna tri minibusa isključivo za fotografe od hotela The Westin Zagreb do ciljnog područja i natrag.Detaljan raspored svih prijevoza „shuttleom“ naveden je u nastavku.Za predstavnike medija neće biti omogućena vožnja vlastitim vozilima do mjesta natjecanja zbog ograničenoga parkirnog prostora na vrhu Sljemena i u području cilja te posebnoga prijevoznog sustava, s tim da će TV vozila i vozila radijskih komentatora biti izuzeta od ovog ograničenja.Vozila TV ekipa s pravom prijenosa ili snimke natjecanja i vozila radijskih komentatora koji prenose natjecanje iz komentatorskih kabina dobit će dozvole za zaustavljanje i iskrcaj u ciljnom području te parking na Krumpirištu (1.3 km od ciljnoga područja), a od Krumpirišta će do područja cilja i natrag biti organiziran „shuttle“ prijevoz službenim vozilima organizatora.Molimo sve televizijske i radijske komentatore koji nemaju vlastita vozila, a potreban im je prijevoz do ciljnoga područja da se jave u press ured u hotelu The Westin Zagreb za žensku utrku najkasnije do 2. siječnja u 16 sati, odnosno do 4. siječnja u 16 sati za mušku utrku kako bismo vam osigurali prijevoz.
PRESS TRANSPORTBasic information on the transport of media representatives:
Special shuttle transport or all media representatives from The Westin Zagreb Hotel to the Tomislavov Dom Hotel (Sub-Press Centre) atop Sljeme and back will be organised, using organisers’ official vehicles.
From there, media representatives will be able o reach the finish area and get back on the three-seat chairlift.Besides the abovementioned transport, on the days of the races three special mini buses will be organised exclusively for the photographers to take them from The Westin Zagreb Hotel to the finish area and back.A detailed schedule of the shuttle transport can be found below.Media representatives will not be allowed to take their own vehicles to the area where the races will take place, due to the limited parking space on top of Sljeme and in the finish area, as well as due to the special transport system. TV crews and radio commentators are exempt from this rule.TV crews with broadcast rights (live coverage or footage) and radio commentators reporting on the races from the commentators’ booths will be given permits for stopping and unloading of equipment in the finish area as well as on the parking in the Krumpirište location (1,3 km from the finish area). Shuttle transportation in the official organiser’s vehicles will be organised from Krumpirište to the finish area and back.All TV and radio commentators without their own vehicles and in need of transportation to the finish area, please report to the press office at The Westin Zagreb Hotel by 16:00 on 2 January for the ladies’ race, and by 16:00 on 4 January for the men’s race, so we can secure transportation for them.

Audi FIS Ski World Cup „Snow Queen Trophy“ 2017. Ponosni smo što utrke Audi FIS Ski World Cup „Snow Queen Trophy“ i ove godine okupljaju najbolje svjetske slalomašice i slalomaše. Trud uložen u organizaciju ove nezaobilazne sportske manifestacije rezultirao je činjenicom da su sljemenske utrke postale jedan od najprestižnijih hrvatskih sportskih događanja, ali i da su uz najuglednija svjetska skijališta uvrštene u „Club 5+ Ski Classics“. Niz je posebnosti sljemenskih utrka, a među njima je zasigurno i spektakularna ceremonija proglašenja tijekom koje pobjednica ženske i pobjednik muške slalomske utrke dobivaju otmjenu kristalnu krunu te bivaju proglašeni Snježnom kraljicom i Snježnim kraljem.
Utrke „Snow Queen Trophy“ jedinstvenima također čini mjesto održavanja na skijalištu samo sat vremena udaljenom od središta glavnoga grada, zbog čega privlači brojnu publiku na sljemenske padine. Osim sportskih uzbuđenja na Sljemenu, publiku tradicionalno očekuje i zabavni program, dok se večer uoči svake utrke na središnjem gradskom trgu izvlače startni brojevi. Program će ove godine biti još bogatiji i atraktivniji jer je Svjetska skijaška federacija (FIS) koja obilježava 50 godina FIS Svjetskoga kupa u alpskom skijanju, odnosno 50 godina od prve muške utrke Svjetskoga skijaškog kupa, za mjesto održavanja proslave te važne obljetnice odabrala upravo Zagreb.
Dosadašnjoj vrhunskoj organizaciji naših utrka svjedoče brojni skijaši i skijašice, vjerni sponzori bez čije bi potpore teško bilo realizirati ovaj projekt te brojni gledatelji koji srčano bodre sve natjecatelje i natjecateljice, što „Snow Queen Trophy“ čini doista jedinstvenim događajem.
Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” 2017 We are proud of the fact that this year the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” races will once again gather the top male and female slalom skiers. The effort that went into organising this unmissable sporting event has resulted in the Sljeme event becoming one of the most prestigious sporting events in Croatia. Moreover, Sljeme has joined the Club 5+ Ski Classics, alongside the most renowned ski resorts in the world. There are a number of things that make the Sljeme races special; one of them is the spectacular award ceremony, during which the winners of the men’s and ladies’ races get elegant crystal crowns and are named Snow King and Snow Queen respectively.
The “Snow Queen Trophy” races are also unique for the fact that they are held on a race course merely an hour away from the centre of the country’s capital, which means that they attract numerous spectators and fans to the Sljeme slopes. Traditionally, apart from the exciting sporting events atop Sljeme, the spectators can look forward to the entertainment programme, while on the eve of the each of the races, the skiers’ start numbers are drawn on the city’s main square. This year, the programme will be lavish and even more attractive as the International Ski Federation (FIS) has chosen Zagreb as the location of the celebration of the notable 50th anniversary of the FIS Ski World Cup, marking 50 years since the first World Cup men’s race.
The top-notch organisation of our races has been witnessed by a number of male and female skiers and loyal sponsors, without whose support it would be difficult to deliver this project, as well as by the many spectators who cheer for all the skiers, thus making the “Snow Queen Trophy” races a truly unique event.

Skijaške utrke na Sljemenu već tradicionalno pobuđuju velik interes domaćih i inozemnih medija i javnosti, a tijekom godina ova je višednevna manifestacija prepoznata u cijelome svijetu. Sljemenske utrke ugošćuju 150 najboljih svjetskih slalomašica i slalomaša te više od 400 članova ekipa iz oko 25 zemalja s četiriju kontinenata, kao i značajan broj volontera iz cijele Hrvatske. Zahvaljujući uzajamnom njegovanju dobrih odnosa i suradnji koju smo tijekom godina izgradili s predstavnicima medija diljem Hrvatske i svijeta, najljepši skijaški trenutci zabilježeni kamerom na Sljemenu dopiru do svih kontinenata. Utrke prati oko 500 akreditiranih novinara iz cijeloga svijeta te je „Snow Queen Trophy“ prema podacima Međunarodne skijaške federacije (FIS) jedna od najgledanijih utrka FIS Svjetskoga kupa. The Sljeme races have traditionally been drawing considerable interest from both the domestic and foreign press and public. Furthermore, over the years this multiday event has been acclaimed around the world. The races on Sljeme welcome 150 of the world’s best female and male slalom racers, and more than 400 team members from around 25 countries on four different continents, as well as a significant number of volunteers from around Croatia. Thanks to the mutual fostering of good relations and cooperation that we have built over the years with the media representatives in Croatia and around the world, the best ski images caught on camera atop Sljeme will once again reach all the continents. Zagreb slavi 50 godina FIS Svjetskoga kupa
Uz tradicionalne slalomske utrke ove je godine Zagreb dobio čast obilježiti FIS-ovu 50. godišnjicu održavanja utrka Svjetskoga skijaškog kupa. Naime, prva muška utrka održana je 5. siječnja 1967. u Berchtesgadenu u Njemačkoj, dok će se ove godine na isti datum obilježiti pola stoljeća od toga značajnog događanja u povijesti Svjetskoga skijaškog kupa i skijanja uopće.
Povodom te važne obljetnice na središnjem zagrebačkom trgu 4. siječnja, na dan između dviju sljemenskih utrka, pripremili smo veliko slavlje uz jedinstven program. Središnje događanje proslave činit će povorka predstavnika svih organizatora utrka FIS Svjetskoga kupa u alpskom skijanju u posljednjih 50 godina, koja će tako na jednome mjestu okupiti impresivna imena iz svijeta skijanja. Nakon povorke skijaške će se legende – ukupni pobjednici FIS Svjetskoga kupa spustiti posebno pripremljenom snježnom stazom koja će se protezati od zagrebačke katedrale do Trga bana Josipa Jelačića. Bit će to prigoda da se prisjetimo sjajnih sportaša koji su svojim nastupima na utrkama Svjetskoga skijaškog kupa obilježili povijest skijanja.
Odluka da Svjetska skijaška federacija upravo Zagrebu povjeri organizaciju ove velike obljetnice dokaz je prepoznatljivosti utrka „Snow Queen Trophy“, koje su tijekom jednoga desetljeća postale istaknutim članom FIS obitelji, kao i dugogodišnjega uspješnog partnerstva FIS-a i Hrvatskoga skijaškog saveza.
Zagreb celebrates 50 years of the FIS Ski World Cup
This year, alongside organising the traditional slalom races, Zagreb has been given the honour of celebrating the International Ski Federation’s 50th anniversary of the Ski World Cup races. The first ever men’s race was held on 5 January 1967 in Berchtesgaden, Germany. Therefore, this year on that same day we will mark the passing of half a century since this momentous event in the history of the World Cup and skiing in general.
On the occasion of this important anniversary, on 4 January, the day in-between the two Sljeme races, Zagreb’s main square will host a huge celebration featuring a unique programme. The central event will include a parade of all the organisers of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races in the past 50 years. The celebration will thus bring together some impressive names from the world of skiing in one place. After the parade, the skiing legends – the overall FIS World Cup winners – will go down a specially prepared ski course stretching from the Zagreb Cathedral to the main square, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića. This will present an opportunity to remember all the magnificent athletes who have marked the history of skiing with their performances in the World Cup races.
The International Ski Federation’s decision to entrust Zagreb with the organisation of this celebration is proof of the renown of the “Snow Queen Trophy” races, which have in the course of a decade become a prominent member of the FIS family, as well as of the years-long successful partnership between FIS and the Croatian Ski Association.
