Michelle tells me she will do something and she does it. I have full confidence in Michelle to keep delivering for our community. Each time I want to raise an issue with Michelle, I know I can just pick up the phone to her and she gets straight onto dealing with what the community needs. An example is getting the street lights repaired in Lower Grange. I've heard it before from politicians but Michelle delivers.

Graham Ball Local resident & Chair of Lower Grange Community Association

Since Michelle has been on the Council representing Clayton & Fairweather Green I have been thoroughly impressed with her hard work, dedication and commitment to serving her community.

Councillor Arshad Hussain Portfolio Holder for Neighborhoods, Safer & Stronger Communities

Michelle's Pledges to you

Michelle is seeking re-election to keep serving you, the people of Clayton & Fairweather Green

Michelle has served the ward since 2012. She is married with 3 young daughters who all attend Bradford Schools and local childcare. As well as being a Councillor, Michelle also works as a Debt Caseworker for an anti-

poverty charity, helping people deal with crushing debt and negotiating a better deal with their creditors. Michelle has served on many committees and is the Bradford District Play Champion. Michelle is an Executive Assistant attached to the Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Safer Communities and works in many areas of the council to improve the lives of residents. Michelle has a record of delivery, holding City Hall to account and bringing changes to support disabled people and groups, She has been outspoken and direct in order to challenge the status quo. She has been available to all residents and ensured regular communication via monthly letters to different parts of the ward. A message from Michelle Swallow Your local Labour Candidate I have been selected to be the candidate for the Clayton & Fairweather Green ward. A role I want to take on again to continue the work I do as your ward councillor. I believe I do make a difference for the District representing you on Bradford Council.

Putting heart and soul into serving Clayton & Fairweather Green

Education These are challenging times for the education of our children

but as part of the Labour Group I will ensure that we maintain our commitment to unlock the potential of everyone who lives here.

Economy Bradford people need access to good jobs and transport. I will

continue to work on improving transportation across the District and beyond, as a member of the Bradford District Engagement Committee for transport in the West Yorkshire Combined Authority area.

Support I will continue to support all the residents of Clayton &

Fairweather Green and ensure that our most vulnerable residents are supported with care and compassion.

Safer Communities I will continue to raise issues with the police and council where

necessary to focus on safety in our community and on our Districts roads. I will also work with partners to address anti-social behaviour in our community.

Michelle with ward colleagues, Councillor Sinead Engel and Councillor Carol Thirkill

A few of the highlights of Michelle's achievements: Michelle set out to get the derelict shops at Four Lane Ends dealt with and she did it. Michelle worked with colleagues to ensure that pedestrians could safely cross at Four Lane Ends. Michelle supports local groups with community activities such as litter picks and bulb planting so all residents can be proud of our area. Michelle has a track record of listening to and helping residents. Michelle has got residents into work via the Get Bradford Working scheme, a Labour initiative.
