Junior GoLfEast Ridge Junior Golfers Jake Marler, Rachel Dupree, and Holden Webb won their respective age divisions in the recent David Toms Arrowhead Junior event held at ERCC in August. Jake fired rounds of 72-71 143 in the boys 15-18 age group, Rachel fired rounds of 78-76 154 in the girls 15-18 age group, and Holden carded rounds of 75-69 144 in the boys 11-14 age group. Join me in congratulating our Junior Golfers on their fine play.
easT ridGe cuPThe East Ridge Cup is scheduled for October 7th and 8th. If you played in the Cup last year, your spot is secure. However, we need to know if you plan on participating in this year’s event. Please email [email protected] to confirm or decline to play in the 2017 Cup. Email confirmation must be sent by September 8th. If we don’t hear from you on or before this date, your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list.

Congratulations to our Junior League All-Stars on their victory in the Gulf States Final Four Matches August 19th at Diamond Head Country Club in Diamond Head MS. The Shreveport PGA Junior League All-Stars won their morning match against the Gulf Coast All-Stars in a 5-0 rain shortened event. After a 3-hour rain delay our All-Stars defeated the Baton Rouge PGA Junior League All-Stars by a decisive 8-4 margin. They will compete August 26th at Reunion Country Club in Jackson, MS against the Alabama PGA Junior League Team.
The Shreveport Junior League All-Stars are; Brown Snyder, Tyler Nichols, Nicholas Wright, Jack Parsons, Bennett Wicker, Eli Hill, Ethan Dial, Charlie Bell, Grant Reagan, and Duke Bowen.

Loyola College Prep – Snoopy Open will be held September 29th through October 1st at ERCC. Entry Fee is $75 for the first event and $25 for the second. The divisions are Men’s and Ladies’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles in 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and Open. There will be food provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and snacks throughout the tournament. Beer, Gatorade, soft drinks and water will also be provided. Each player will receive a T-shirt and there will be prizes for the winners. Sign up online!
