What You Need1 lb lean ground beef2 c Mexican blend shredded cheese1 can refried black beans1 pkg taco seasoning mix1 jar picante sauce, 16 oz.2 c sour cream2 green onions, sliced1 small can sliced black olives2 c water, warm1 box manicotti shells

Directions• Mix raw ground beef with taco seasoning, 1 cup of cheese and 1 can refried black beans.

Mexcian Manicotti My Way

• Using the uncooked manicotti shells, stuff the meat mixture into the shells and place in a large baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.

• Pour the jar of picante over the stuffed shells. Then pour in the 2 cups of warm water.

• Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

• When shells are done and dish is bubbly top with sour cream, reserved cheese and olives.

• Put back in oven for 5-10 minutes.

• Remove from oven and top with green onions.

CITY OF LA FERIA TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

PLANNING & CAPACITY BUILDING FUND PROJECT AND

USDA RURAL BUSINESS-COOPERATIVE SERVICE RURAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT GRANT

The City of La Feria is developing a Comprehensive Plan for the City through a 2014 Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) contract with the Texas Department of Agriculture – Office of Rural Affairs and a Strategic Plan for three areas in the City of La Feria Extra Territorial Jurisdiction through a Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) from the Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS), an Agency of the United States Department of Agriculture .

A public hearing concerning the development of these plans is scheduled to be held at 6:00 p.m. on January 25, 2015 at the Chaparral Building located at 108 S. Main Street, La Feria, TX. The purpose of this public hearing will be to discuss the proposed plans and solicit citizen input for the City’s 2014 TxCDBG and RBS-RBDG projects.

All citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing and present their views to the city. The meeting room is handicapped accessible. Individuals who require assistance, auxiliary aids or services to participate in this hearing should contact the City Secretary to arrange to make arrangements two days prior to the meeting. If anyone interested in attending the public hearing requires the assistance of a translator, please contact the City Secretary two days prior to the public hearing. If you are unable to attend the meeting, written comments will be accepted and may be submitted to:
