Supervision and Delegation At Pérez-Llorca, your work will be supervised by an experienced lawyer at all times, who will make the most of your aptitudes, helping you in the areas in which you need to improve. Nevertheless, you will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities from the start.
Continuous TrainingInternal training: TESEOTESEO is part of an ambitious two-year training plan designed for Pérez-Llorca’s youngest lawyers; however, it is also open to any other lawyers from the firm who wish to participate. The programme, coordinated and financed by the firm, has been designed with the fundamental objective of offering its participants the necessary training so that they can reach theirprofessional goals.

International Scope
London and New York OfficesAt the beginning of 2015, Pérez-Llorca started working in its London office. Adding to this first foreign office, the firm will open its next office abroad in New York in the fourth quarter of 2015. Pérez-Llorca will advise on Spanish law in both offices. This international expansion is in line with the firm’s strategy to grow and expand. Both offices hope to assist Pérez-Llorca’s clients with the development of their projects and build bridges to collaborate closely with local firms. These two offices are managed by partners who have spent the majority of their professional careers at Pérez-Llorca. They are accompanied by associates who joined as first-year lawyers and have grown both personally and professionally at Pérez-Llorca.
SecondmentsYou will have the opportunity to participate in our secondments or exchange programmes with law firms around the world. Some of the cities where we run these exchange programmes are New York, Paris, Stockholm, and Sao Paulo.

What are the objectives?TESEO provides our lawyers with solid legal training based on analysing fundamental questions concerning Company Law, the knowledge of practice areas different to those in which the lawyers normally work, updates on the main legal developments (i.e. legislative, case law and academic developments), and skills necessary for the practice of law.
How long does it last?TESEO lasts two years (two academic courses, each from September to July).

As a first year lawyer, whether you start working with us right after joining the bar or in order to do your work experience as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession, you will join teams of recognised professionals through our rotation system.
If you are a law graduate, you will have the opportunity to work in three different practice areas within our 15-month rotation system, where each rotation lasts 5 months. This will give you a more well-rounded perspective of the practice of law as a whole and of each practice area. During this period, you will work independently, guided by your tutor/mentor from each practice area in which you are collaborating. At the end of this rotation period your specialist practice area will be decided, taking into account your individual performance, the firm’s needs and your personal preferences.
If you join the firm to carry out your compulsory work experience (prácticas de Máster de Acceso) in order to prepare for the bar exam and qualify as a lawyer, you will work as part of a team for 4 or 5 months. After passing the bar exam, and once you are qualified as a lawyer, you will ideally work with 2 more teams before your specialist practice area is decided.
Como abogado de primer año, bien como colegiado o como alumno de prácticas del Máster de Acceso, te integrarás en un equipo de reconocidos y consolidados profesionales mediante nuestro sistema de rotaciones.
Gracias a este programa, si eres Licenciado, tendrás la oportunidad de trabajar durante 15 meses en tres áreas diferentes del Despacho, 5 meses en cada una, lo que te proporcionará una visión más completa del ejercicio del Derecho y de cada especialización. En este periodo trabajarás con autonomía, orientado por tu tutor/mentor en cada equipo en el que colabores. Al finalizar este ciclo de rotaciones, se decidirá el área del Derecho en la que trabajarás considerando tu desempeño de manera individual, así como tus preferencias y las necesidades del Despacho.
Si tu incorporación es en calidad de alumno del Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía, realizarás las prácticas en un departamento durante 4 o 5 meses. Si finalmente te integras en la Firma una vez colegiado, trabajarás idealmente en otros dos departamentos antes de incorporarte a uno de manera definitiva.

We have several agreements with a large number of universities that will allow you to do both curricular and extracurricular internships for 1 or 2 months in the summer or during the academic year, provided that this is compatible with your studies. We are very flexible when it comes to designing customised internship schedules for each student.
An internship is a great opportunity to find out what working at a law firm is like and also apply the knowledge you have acquired at university, as well as confirm your drive for the legal profession.

“During the final year of my joint honours degree I decided that I wanted to complete a summer internship at a prestigious law firm that would give me experience of the legal profession in a first-rate environment. This is why I chose Pérez-Llorca.

We start the recruitment process for future interns that will complete the compulsory work experience for the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at our firm while they are in their last year of undergraduate study. We would be pleased to offer advice to students that are not sure where to enrol for the obligatory Master’s degree. We also recruit students during the theoretical part of the Master’s programme.

RequirementsOur recruitment process is focused on hiring junior lawyers in two ways:
Junior lawyers: Lawyers with no experience or with a maximum experience of 2 years (law graduates would have to have successfully passed the bar exam and be able to become members of the bar).
Compulsory work experience for the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession students: Law graduates currently studying this Master’s or law students in their last academic year who intend to study this Master’s during the following year.
If you have a law degree and you also have an excellent academic record, a very good command of English and your vocation is the practice of law:
