Final Supply ConditionSymbol Designation Description
BK Cold finished(hard)Tubes do not undergo heat treatment following thefinal cold forming and, thus, have a rather highresistance to deformation.
BKW Cold finished(soft)
The final heat treatment is followed by cold drawinginvolving limited deformation. Appropriate furtherprocessing allows a certain degree of coldforming(e.g. bending, expanding)
BKS Cold finished andstress-relieved
Heat treatment is applied following the last coldforming process, subject to appropriate processingconditions, the increase in the residual stressesinvolved enables both forming and machining to acertain degree.
GBK Annealed The last cold forming process is followed byannealing in a controlled atmosphere.
NBK NormalizedThe last forming process is followed by annealingabove the upper transformation point in a controlledatmosphere.
