KUVEMPU TRUST - SHIVAGANGA

ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR

OF

2011-2012

This report includes complete one year details of all activity of the Kuvempu trust for the

year of 2011-2012.

The Kuvempu contains the following activities they are as follows,

1. Vidya Kendra

2 .Rag Picker education motivation center

3 .Education grant

4 .Computer center

5 .Vocational training centers

Individual activity report is as follows:

1. Vidya Kendra

This year Kuvempu has total 21 Vidya Kendra in 18 village of holalkere (T) chitradurga (D)

they are as follows. Through Vidya Kendra’s we are trying to improve education level in villages

from 12 years.

In the month of April and May we gave holidays to all Vidya Kendra students because of

summer vacation in this period all the teachers attached trainings & meetings in Kuvempu

office.

In all the Vidyakendras the teachers followed the teaching method The classes restated

from June month. In this month Basic classes taken for 1st STD student’s alphabet and number

kagunitha and tables practiced. For 4th to 7th student Basic mathematics and social science and

English introduction classes taken.

In July: for 1st STD student alphabets and simple word making and reading practiced. For the

2nd student’s kagunitha and othakshara practiced.

The 3rd and 4th kids Kannada and English dictation from the lesson given daily. The 5th to 7th

kids learns about the science and math’s lessons

In august: primary kids practiced tables up to 12 number and for higher primary kids

thought about writing of a sentence that is selected from the subject lesson, copy writing

practiced. for 4th to 7th children lesson taken questions & answer practiced. For 7th students

science & environmental studies covered.indipendence day celebreted in the govt.school.

In sept: kids prepared for midterm examination in thin exam more than 50% student scored

A+ grade. in some center student celebrated teacher days on 5/9/2010

In Oct: culture activity practiced for dasara pooja.

Nov: in mathematics simple interest, percentage and rate of interest lesson taken for 6 and

7th students. Kannada rajyothsava celebrated.

DEC: monthly test conducted & Kannada & English reading practiced

January 2012: Kannada & English dictation &test given & lessons continued. For 7th student

sciences environmental studies covered.

February: All the lessons practiced with practical experiment &student prepared for annual

examination.

MARCH: annual examination preparation is done. All the Vidya Kendra teachers attended

the teacher training program in Kuvempu & in other place every month.

Cultural activitieses and sports also conducted regularly

Bag making and embroidry -jayamma All the tailoring students are attended Bag making for 1 hour in batch wise, Practiced thread placing in the machiene and design tracing and using thread and wire Bags ,woolen bags mats muflers sweters and sary embroidry dress embroidery etc but we are in need of embroidry mechaines ,we are not able to give 15mins to each students please provide the need ful.

Education grant –nagarajappa

This year also we continued the same support for poor student and drop out students for

education help. In 2011-12 we supported 109 students. In this year we planned properly with

staff support and selected very less eligible students only. We served the villages where our

Vidya Kendra situated. According to our teacher guidance we selected poor family Background

students for the grant scheme the parents are not able to pay fees. So, we supported them by

admitting them to the school by paying fees and given education materials to them. By this

education grant scheme we are trying to maintain the zero drops out in our area. The bellow

mentioned table illustrates student name and other detail. we supported higher education

students also.
