plants in Jrvel, Hirvensalmi and Vierumki process over a million cubic meters of

The wood we use grows in the worlds premium Nordic timber forests. Procurement

of this timber is carried out by our purchasing team at Koskitukki Oy. In all of our

procurement activities we bear responsibility for ecologically, socially and economicallysustainable forestry.

Our business relies directly on the forest. We therefore have special cause to take

very good care of it. We are the first wood products industry company in Finland

to be granted ISO 14001 certification in recognition of our environmentally

friendly operations. We also have PEFC certification for the sustainable

origin of our wood.

Wood procurement

Environmentally responsible forestry is a priority

in all of our wood procurement operations. Koski-

sens wood procurement company, Koskitukki Oy,

purchases all wood raw material needed by Koski-

sen. Special attention is paid to wood procure-

ment, as the quality of our products depends on

high-quality raw material.

Sawn timber

Koskisen Timber produces standard and cut-to-

size sawn and planed timber and a range of semi-

fabricated components, such as roof trusses. Koski-

sens quality management system and advanced

production technology enable fast delivery of both

standard and customized products.

Plywood

Renowned for its special plywoods, the success

of Koskisen Plywood is based on customized so-

lutions and on-going product development. The

customers special requirements are taken into

consideration in the product design and all produc-

tion stages. Our value-added products and ready-

to-install components are highly sought after on

the demanding market.

Chipboard

Koskisen Chipboard boasts the widest portfolio on

the market for products used in the furniture and

construction industries. Advanced production

equipment and product development enable us to

expand our portfolio to include new types of board

for new applications.

Birch products

Koskisens birch products company, Vilkon Oy,manufactures high quality sawn goods, semi fin-
