1 Introduction

We,theemployeesofKonami,attheGamingandSystemsDivision,NorthAmericanHeadquarters–KGILV,inanefforttoconveyour sensitivitytotheenvironmentalchangesthatourplanetisexperiencingandtoreaffirmourcommitmenttoourclients,familiesandour ownwellbeing,havedevelopedthefollowingsustainabilitypoliciesasapledgetolimit,reduceoreliminateanynegativeecological impactsthatwemaycreateinthecourseofconductingbusiness.

2 ChemicalDistributionandStoragePolicy

2.1 Intent:

ThegoaloftheChemicalDistributionandStoragePolicyistominimizetheexposureofemployeestohazardousmaterials.KGILV helpsprotectthehealthandsafetyoftheoccupants,thefacility’sairquality,andtheenvironmentthroughincreasedawarenessof chemicaldistributionandstorageatthefacility.

2.2 Procedure:

2.2.1 ChemicalDistribution

Thedistributionofchemicalsisrestrictedtodesignateddistributionpointsatthefacility.Thesepointsincludecustodialclosetsandthe facility’smaintenancestorageroom.

Chemicaldistributionactivitiesareconductedbymaintenance,housekeepingpersonnelandproductionsupervisors.

• Unpackagedandhandcarriedchemicalsareplacedinacontainer,cartonorbucket • Personnelkeeptransportedcontainersofchemicalsclosed • Personneltransportquantitiesofchemicalutilizingacartwithaliporrailingtopreventaccidentaltipping

2.2.2 ChemicalStorage

Chemicalsarestoredinanappropriatecontainerwithappropriatelabeling.Maintenancestaffand productionsupervisorsareresponsibleforensuringthatthisguidelineismet.Anyexceptionsare reportedtotheMaintenanceManagerandProductionManager.

Chemicalsarestoredbyhazardclassification(e.g.oxidizer,combustible,corrosive,unstable,water reactive,etc.)Todeterminethechemical’shazardclassthestaffchecksthelabel,theMaterial

SafetyDataSheets(MSDS),theNationalFireProtectionAssociation(NFPA)1,ortheNational

InstituteforOccupationalSafetyandHealth(NIOSH)2guidesonhazardousmaterials.

• Allchemicalsarestoredbycompatibilitygroup.Incompatiblechemicalswillbeseparated

• Storedchemicalsareexaminedperiodically(annually)fordeterioration,expiration,replacementandcontainerintegrity

• Allchemicalsarestoredincontainersingoodrepairandremainproperlylabeledatalltimes.Thelabelincludesthechemical name,hazardclassification,manufacturerinformation,andtheWorkplaceHazardousMaterialsInformationSystem(WHMIS) supplierlabel

• Chemicalsareusuallystoredonshelvesnohigherthaneyelevel(approximately60”)

• AllflammableorcombustiblechemicalsarestoredinproperlyNFPAapprovedflammablestoragecabinets.Suchstorage cabinetsarelabeled“FLAMMABLE”.Flammableandcombustiblechemicalsareisolatedfromoxidizers

• Chemicalsarenotroutinelystoredinworkareas.Generally,onlytheamountsneededarekeptintheworkareaandthe remainderofthematerialarekeptinthefacility’sapprovedstoragelocations

• Chemicalsareneverrandomlystoredonthefloor,unlessthestoragefacilityisproperlydesigned(spillcontrol,fire protection,imperviousfloor,aislespacing,marking/labeling,etc)andclearlydesignated

3.1 Intent

KGILViscommittedtoreducingdirt,dust,water,snowandotherparticlesenteringthefacilityatallentryways.

3.2 CleaningandMaintaining

Thecustodialpersonnelvacuumeachentrywaysystemseverynight.Inaddition,frontentrancematsaresteamcleanedatleastevery

monthandoftenmorefrequentlyonan“asneeded”basis.

3.3 EntryMaterialSelection

Entrywaysystemsmaterialshavethefollowingperformancefeatures:

• Musthavelowelectrostaticpropensitylevelsoflessthan2.5KV

• Rubberbacking

3.4 Implementation

TheFacilitiesandSecurityAdministratorensuresthatallrequestforpurchasesmeettheperformancespecificationspriorto submissiontosourcing.

Buildingmaintenanceinspectsexteriorwalkwaysleadingtothebuildingentrancesonadailybasisandcleanasrequired.

4 LowEnvironmentalImpactCleaningPolicy

4.1 Intent:

KGILViscommittedtoreducingtheexposureofbuildingoccupantstopotentiallyhazardouschemical,biologicalandparticle contaminants,whichadverselyimpactairquality,health,buildingfinishes,buildingsystems,andtheenvironment.

4.2 Implementation:

ItisKGILV’spolicyatthefacility,toemploycleaningandmaintenancepersonnelwhomeettheperformancerequirementstosustain lowenvironmentalimpactcleaning.

Allcleaningstaffandthirdpartyvendorsreceivedocumentedtraininginchemicalandcleanerdispensing,anddilutionequipment.

Allstaffandthirdpartyvendorsarerequiredtouseonlysustainablecleaningproducts,includinghandcleanersthatdonotcontain antimicrobialagents(otherthanasapreservative),exceptwhererequiredbyhealthcodesandotherregulations(i.e.foodservicesand

healthcarerequirements).CleaningproductsaretobeGreenSeal373ifapplicable.

Allmaterialsrequiringmixingaretobemixedintheequipmentsuppliedbythemanufacturer,ensuringproperdilutionspecifications.

NewandreplacementflooringistobeevaluatedbytheFacilities&SecurityAdministratorforitspotentiallongtermenvironmental impactsincluding:

• Potentialdamageofrawmaterialextraction • Maintenancerequirements • Overallusefullife • Hygiene(hypoallergenic) • Appearance • Safety • Impactofeventualdisposal(recyclable)

4.3 Tracking:

CleaningpersonnelprovidequarterlyfloormaintenancereportstotheFacilities&SecurityAdministrator,whichincludes:

KGILV’smaintenancestaffandjanitorialservicesuppliersarerequiredtouseonlythefollowing:

5 LowEnvironmentalImpactCleaningEquipmentPolicy

5.1 Intent:

KGILViscommittedtoreducingtheexposureofitsfacility’soccupantstopotentiallyhazardouschemical,biologicalandparticle contaminantsthroughtheuseofproperandefficientjanitorialequipmentthatminimizesbuildingcontaminantsandtheirenvironmental impact.

5.2 Implementation:

AtKGILVfacility,allpurchasesofjanitorialequipmentarethoroughlyresearchedbyoutsidevendors,toensuretherequirementslisted belowaremet.

5.3 Requirements:

• VacuumcleanersmeettherequirementsoftheCarpetandRugInstitute“Greenlabel”TestingProgram4–VacuumCleaner Criteriaandbecapableofcapturing96%ofparticulates0.3micronsinsizeandoperatewithasoundlevellessthan 70decibels.

• Hotwaterextractionequipmentfordeepcleaningcarpetsiscapableofremovingsufficientmoisturetoallowthecarpetsto drywithin24hours.

• Poweredmaintenanceequipmentincludingfloorbuffers,burnishesandautomaticscrubbersisequippedwithvacuums, guardsand/orotherdevicesforcapturingfineparticulates,andoperateswithasoundlevellessthan70dBA.

• Automatedscrubbingmachinesareequippedwithvariablespeedfeedpumpstooptimizetheuseofcleaningfluids.

• Activemicrofibertechnologyisimplementedwherefeasible,toreducecleaningchemicalconsumptionandprolonglifeof disposablescrubbingpads.

• Allpowerequipmentisergonomicallydesignedtoreduceuserfatigue.

• Allequipmentisequippedwithrubberbumperpadstoreducebuildingdamage.

6 NoSmokingPolicy

6.1 Intent

ItisthegoalofKGILVtopromoteasmokefreeandhealthyworkingenvironment.Itensuresthatnoemployeeisexposedtosecond handsmokeandreducestheriskoffire.

6.2 GuidingPrinciples

• TopromotethewellbeingandhealthofKGILV’semployees • Tocommunicateapositiveandresponsiblecorporateimage • Todemonstratethatthehealthandsafetyofemployeesisparamount

6.3 Directives

• Thesmokingofanysubstancesandproductsincludingbutnotlimitedtotobaccowhileinsidethebuildingisprohibited. • Anysmokingoutsideofthebuildingmustbedoneatdesignatedsites.

6.3.1 Communication

7.1 Intent

KGILVisdedicatedtothefollowingbestpracticesinsustainablepurchasing.Thecompany’sintentionistoreducewasteandlessen harmfulenvironmentalimpacts.KGILV’sgoalistoprovideahealthyenvironmenttoallofitsemployeesandpreventthem fromexposuretoharmfulchemicals.

AllsealantsoradhesivesmusthaveVolatileOrganicCompound(VOC)contentlessthanthecurrentVOCcontentlimitsofCalifornia’s

AnycarpetprocuredforthefacilityshouldfollowrecommendedbestpracticeswhichcomplywiththerequirementsoftheCarpet&

RugInstitute(CRI)GreenLabelPlusTestingProgram7.Carpettilesarepreferredformaintenanceandeaseofinstallation.

7.2.4 CarpetCushion

AnycarpetcushionprocuredshouldfollowrecommendedbestpracticeswhichcomplywiththerequirementsoftheCRIGreenLabel TestingProgram.

7.2.5 CompositePanelsandAgrifiberProducts

AnycompositepanelsandAgrifiberproductspurchasedshallnotcontainaddedureaformaldehyderesins.

KGILVandcontractorspurchasecleaningproducts,disposablejanitorialpaperproducts,andtrashbagswhichreducethe environmentalimpact.ThedisposablejanitorialpaperproductsandtrashbagscomplieswiththeEPAComprehensiveProcurement Guidelines9.Exceptionstothesepoliciesmayincludespecialcircumstanceswherethespecifiedproductsare unabletosatisfythecriticalneeds.AlloutsidevendorsorcontractorsareaskedtouseEPAComprehensiveProcurementGuidelines, GreenSealGS37cleaningproductsorproductsthatcomplywiththeCaliforniaCodeofRegulations10maximumallowableVOClevels.

7.5 FluorescentLampPurchasingPolicy

KGILViscommittedtomaintainingareducedmercurycontentofthelightbulbsacquiredforuseinthefacilitytolessthan80 picogramsperlumenhour,onaverage.KGILVwillreviewtheneedforlamppurchasesannuallyanddevelopthespecificationsto meettheholisticapproachtolightingasitpertainstolightingquality,energy,andmercurycontent.Allfluorescentlampsare purchasedonanasneededbasis.Quarterlyreportstrackprogressontheholisticlightingprogramanddentifyanybarriersto meetingthemercurycontentobjective.

8.1 Intent:

ThegoalofKGILVistoimpactthesiteofthefacilityaslittleaspossible.Reduceddisturbancethroughconsciouseffortsand managementhelpslessentheenvironmentalimpactandmaintainthehealthofouremployees.

KGILV’sownedandoperatedsitemaintenanceequipment,aswellas,equipmentoperatedbyallvendorsperformingtasksinside andonthebuilding’senvelopeisregularlymaintained.Thisincludescheckingequipmentbeforeeachusefordamage,oillevelsand safetymeasures,aswellas,observingaregularlyscheduledmaintenanceprogram.Safetyguidelinesaretobeobservedincluding, butnotlimitedto,theuseofsafetyglasses,hearingprotection,andprotectiveglovesasappropriate.

8.2.2 LandscapeWaste

8.2.2.1 StandardPractices

Minimizethequantityofgreenwastetakentothelandfillbyusingmulchingmowersand/orutilizegreenwastehaulerstoremovegreen wasteandrecycleitforreuse.

8.2.3 SnowRemoval

8.2.3.1 StandardPractices

Icemeltisusedonmainwalkwaysandstairsonlywhenthereisiceandonanasneededbasis.

8.2.3.2 BestPractices

• Usepotassiumchlorideormagnesiumchlorideicemeltingproductsinsteadofsodiumchlorideorcalciumchloride.

Nochemicalsorsolutionsareusedtocleanthebuildingexterior.Whencleaningofthebuildingexteriorisrequired,powerwashisthe preferredmethod.Ifgraffitihasbeenappliedtothebuilding,anappropriatechemicalwillbeappliedtoremovethegraffiti.

• Avoidtheuseofcleaningcompoundsthatcanharmvegetationandpollutegroundwater

9.1 Intent:

Thegoalofthefacility’srecyclingpolicyistomanagethewasteremovalwithanemphasisonwastereduction,reuse,andrecycling. KGILViscommittedtodivertingatleast50%ofthetotalwastestreamfromlandfillsbymeansofsourcereduction,resourcereuse,and recyclingatitsfacility.Inaddition,KGILViscommittedtorecycling100%ofallbatteriesandfluorescentlightbulbs.

AtKGILV,everyeffortismadeforwastediversion.Throughoutthefacility,therearebinsforrecyclingwiththeappropriatesignageon whatmaterialsmayberecycled.Notificationisregularlysenttoemployeesaskingfortheircooperationwithrecyclingandan explanationastowhytheserecyclingeffortshavebeenimplemented.

9.2 Implementation:

KGILViscontinuallymakingstridestoimprovesourcereduction.Beforepurchasingmaterial,equipmentandservices,thefacility’s procurementpersonnelwillconsider:

KGILVusesrecyclablematerialswhereverpossibleandapplicableandavoidsmaterialsforwhichnorecyclingfacilitiesorcollection systemsexistforthoseproductsendofusefullife.Therecyclingprocess,however,shouldprovideanetenvironmentalbenefitand shouldminimizeadverseenvironmentaleffects.

KGILVassuresthatpapergenerationisreducedthroughduplexcopying,andthroughtheuseofelectroniccommunicationsinclusiveof newsletters,noticesandbulletinboards.Inaddition,usedtonercartridgesarereturnedtothemanufacturerforrecycling.

10.1 Intent:

ThefollowingguidelinesapplytoanyKonamiprojectasanadditionto;orinadditiontotheKGILVfacility.Foranyconstructionwork, itisrecommendedthataConstructionIndoorAirQuality(IAQ)Planisdeveloped.Thefollowingguidelineshavebeen developedtoprotectthehealthoftheconstructionworkersandtheoccupantsofthefacilitybyemployingbestpracticestoenhance IAQduringandafterconstruction.ThefollowingguidelineshavebeendevelopedtomeettherecommendedControlMeasures oftheSheetMetalandAirConditionContractorsNationalAssociation(SMACNA)IAQGuidelinesforOccupiedBuildingsunder Construction.

10.2 Procedures:

10.2.1 IndoorAirQualityPlan

11.2.1 EnvironmentalConsiderations

Itisrecommendedthatconstructionprojectsminimizethecreationofconstruction,deconstruction,anddemolitionwastetoprotect andrestorenaturalhabitatandresources.Factorsthatcontributetowastesuchasoverpackaging,improperstorage,orderingerrors, poorplanning,breakage,mishandling,andcontamination,shallbeminimized.Awastemanagementplanshallbedevelopedtoensure thatexistingsiteandbuildingmaterialsarereused,salvaged,orrecycled.Wastedisposalinlandfillsshallbeminimized.

12.1 Intent:

ThegoalofKGILVistoreducethefacility’simpactonthenaturalsitethroughcarefulchoicesofoutsidecareandmaintenanceforthe building.

12.2 Procedure:

ThefollowingpolicyappliestoanyfutureplansbyKGILVfornewconstructionormodificationstoexistingbuildingsandlandscape.The plansmustmeeteithertheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA)orNevada’serosionandsedimentationcontrolcodes,whichever aremorestringent.Theinterfacebetweennewconstructionandexistingsitedevelopmentmaynotcompromiseexistingerosionand sedimentcontrols.Changestolandformandrunoffpatternsmustbeincorporatedintotheoverallsitedrainageplan.

Planningandexecutionofconstructionactivitiesmustincludeastormwaterpollutionpreventionplanthataddressesthefollowing erosionandsedimentationcontroltactics:

• Minimizetheamountofdisturbedsoil. • Preventrunofffromoffsiteareasfromflowingacrossdisturbedareas. • Slowdowntherunoffflowingacrossthesite. • Removethesedimentationfromonsiterunoffbeforeitleavesthesite. • Meetorexceedlocalorstaterequirementsforsedimentanderosioncontrolplans.
