Knight Lines March, 2013 Hoffman-Schaumburg Council #6964 St Patrick's Family Party – A HUGH SUCCESS ! ! ! Vince & Mary Wroblewski extend their appreciation to John & Sandy Heavey, George & Patti Palicki, and all of the many knights and their families who volunteered to make our biggest council event a success beyond expectations. The support of the St. Hubert staff was a key to all that we accomplished. And, Thank You, to all who attended – and contributed so much . This was such an entertaining, fun, wholesome, good time – with McNulty Irish Dancers, The Chicago Police Emerald Society Bag Pipe Marching Band, DJ Music for the Road, and topped off with such a tasty Irish dinner of corned beef, cabbage & the trimmings. Scroll down for a page of photos which try to capture some of the facets of the wonderful evening. 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd Degree Installations – Sunday, March 24, at Queen of Peace Council, The Columbus Centre, 365 Surryse Road, Lake Zurich. Candidate Registration begins at 11:00 am, 1 st Degree at Noon, 2 nd Degree at 1:00 pm, and 3 rd Degree following the 2 nd Degree. Luncheon will be served after the 3 rd Degree. Annual CPR/AED Night, For council members and spouses, on Tuesday, March 26, 7:00 pm at the St. Matthew Hughes Center, members of the Schaumburg Fire Department will be conducting this training session. Instruction includes AED use and the Heimlich Maneuver (obstructed airway). If you are planning to attend, please contact Bill Clark, 847 – 489 - 9114 or [email protected] Church of the Holy Spirit Membership Drive We need volunteers on Saturday, April 6 at 5:00 pm Mass, and Sunday, April 7 th at the 7:45, 9:15, and 11:00 am Masses. All you need do is meet the men of the parish, share our Membership Brochure with them, and encourage them to simply give their names and phone numbers as interested. Let Larry Arquilla at 847-373-6075 and George Palicki at 847-843-8471 know when you can help – or just show up to help. We need you all ! Our Council Blood Drive at St. Hubert - Vince Wroblewski reports that the drive will be conducted on Sunday, April 7 th , from 8 am to 2 pm in the Lower Level of the church. If you’re in good health, this is your invitation to make one small donation that will help save up to three (3) lives. Contact Life Source at 1-877-LIFESOURCE or at WWW.LIFESOUCE.ORG, and reference this access code ‘STO2’ to make an appointment. Walk-in donors are welcome. Volunteers are also needed at 7 am to Set-Up and at 2 pm for Clean-Up. Please contact Vince at: [email protected]. Women at the Well On Tuesday, April 9 th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Spirit, council members are needed as servers for this meeting. This program brings women together for a meal, to listen to an inspirational speaker and share thoughts on Faith, Family, Health and Womanhood. Call George Palicki at 747-843-8471 to let him know that you’re volunteering and for more information - better yet just be there to help serve.
