Company Overview

Our aimAt Kitome, our aim is to provide a cost effective building solution that’s second to none.

The companyKitome is a leading designer and manufacturer of quality kit homes. Kitome is Australian owned and operated with sales and dispatch facilities in the four eastern states - New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland, along with South/West Western Australia.

Kitome is still proudly managed and run daily by the founding owner from its inception over 20 years ago. During that period, we have supplied thousands of new homes throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, acquiring invaluable experience in the process.

Our expertise covers everything from design consultancy to comprehensive building advice. Clients can be reassured that when Kitome supplies a kit, the materials specified are suitable structurally and the quantities are correct for the job at hand.

What makes us different?Kitome offers a huge range of over 50 standard home designs from 34m2 to 510m2, however the Kitome point of difference can be summed up in one word.

”FLEXIBILITY”We do not try to convince customers to settle on a design within our range. Kitome have the ability to supply a quote on a fully customised design. This is a rare feature in the kit home market, giving the customer an opportunity to get what they want and not just what they are told is availableto them.

Our customers are never asked to compromise on design.

There’s another important advantage too – Kitome’s commitment to quality materials and manufacturing ensures that every home is built from the best materials within the available budget. Kitome is one of the very few suppliers of both timber and steel frame kit homes.

We believe that, in order to give product flexibility and have total product quality control in different markets and environments, we must offer both.

We pride ourselves on our ability to price through a tailored quotation program and manufacture kits to suit. We can do this because the Kitome product is not based on a set modular form which can limit key design features such as wall heights, roof pitch or spans.

Kitome proudly offer three stages of supply within our kits, so our clients can decide which is the best.

Our Designs

Standard DesignsWe currently have over 50 “standard” designs to choose from within our portfolio, and this is constantly being updated to meet the markets requirements. Our clients can modify any of our designs - so they get the most from their budget and a house that suits their personal requirements and their land. Our philosophy is to offer more design flexibility, because we know our clients will be happier with the end result.

Clients can vary both external and internal features - for example, externally, by changing a Gable to a Hip Roof or even a Flat Roof. Inside, some examples of alterations include increasing the standard ceiling height, room layout revisions, adding a breakfast bar or French doors – just to name a few!

Custom DesignsSome clients will start with a blank piece of paper and site dimensions – this is where our Sales Representative and Internal Design Team can guide the customer through the design stage. If a client has their own professionally drawn plans , we can certainly provide a quotation to supply the kit based on their own design.

Whenever we create a unique or partially new design, our sales representatives can be assured that liaising with our manufacturing team ensures the plans are achievable.

Our Inclusions

Kitome proudly offer three stages of supply within our kits, so our clients can decide which is the best option for them.

As a brief summary, Stage One will take our clients to Lock Up, Stage Two consists of internal linings and fitouts, whilst Stage 3 contains kitchens, appliances, bathroom fit outs etc. Some clients may purchase a lock up kit only, whilst others prefer the convenience of Kitome supplying all materials, including the kitchen sink!

With three collections (Prestige, Freedom and Gable) to choose from, there are various levels of inclusions on offer, and yes, they are fully flexible.

Every customer will have specific requirements, and items such as Cyclonic Wind Ratings, Snow Loads and Bushfire Attack Levels can all be catered for at Kitome.

MarketingTake advantage of Kitome’s huge online presence, along with National Advertising Campaigns. There’s no need for you to run ads in the local paper any more – we will generate & handle the enquiries, leaving you more time to do what you do best – build houses.

Co-BrandingBacked by our in-house Marketing Co-Ordinator and Graphic Designer, we are able to prepare co-branded artwork for you to promote your business whilst onsite. Below are a few examples of the materials that can be co-branded.

Referral FlyersWe realise that many potential clients will stop by a building site, and many will take the opportunity to talk to you. Why not use our referral flyers, which will be branded with both yours and Kitome’s logo along with contact details for the local Kitome Sales Office. This encourages the client to talk to the Kitome Sales Consultant, freeing up your time onsite. And even better, when the client purchases a kit with Kitome as a direct result of visiting your building site and referred to the Kitome office, we will pay you$200 at the completion of the job.

Now that’s a win win!

Any Questions? We welcome and encourage any questions you may have. Some frequently asked questions are listed below.

Q: Do you supply timber and steel framed houses?

A: Yes, we do. We understand that some builders prefer to work with one material only, and once we know your preferences, only those clients meeting your suitability would be forwarded to you

Q: If a customer comes to me with their own plan, can I send them to Kitome to do the initial sales process and quote?

A: Of course you can. Let our Sales Consultants do what they do best – sell, which leaves you time to do what you do best – build.

Q: I have builder mates all over the country that may be interested in putting up your kits. What do I tell them?

A: That’s an easy one – get them to contact us straight away, or pass their details to us, and we will contact them directly. We are always looking to expand our Builder Network, and with a growing number of Sales and Local Agents located throughout the country, we would love to talk to builders in every state and territory. And here’s the win win again. If you refer a builder who is successfully accredited and completes their first job, we will pay you a referral fee of $200.

Q: How do I know what you include in your kits, especially for the first job I am preparing an estimate on?

A: Our Sales Consultant will forward you a copy of the clients brief, and the quotation of what we are providing in our kit. Our general exclusions are:

• Electrical wiring, fittings, switches or RCD’s

• Plumbing pipe-work, fittings or hot water system

• Rainwater tanks or connections to tanks including pvc downpipes and leaf-eaters

• Floor coverings

• Shower screens and vanity mirrors, shower bases, floor

wastes or waterproofing

• Piers, pier heads or concrete slabs

• Flashings, weep-holes, damp proof course or capping

• Brick ties, mortar or steel lintels

• Tie down rods, washers, nuts or bolts

• Nails or any fixings except those specifically stated in the Kitome quote

• Adhesives except those specifically stated above

• Any paint or decking oil
