I should first tell you that Saved By the Bell is one of my favorite shows of all time. I own every season on DVD (not the College Years though, lets be serious here) and quote it whenever possible ("Who you calling a cantaloupe you melon head?"). So when I saw that the 90's style was coming back I went shopping with Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle in mind. This meant high-waisted pants, crop tops, chunky heels, and overalls galore!
Very often my friends ask me some trend forecasting questions like "What's in style?" "What is everyone wearing this fall?" and lately I've been telling them to channel their inner Kelly and wear overalls. Apparently the word overall strikes some fear in them, as they scrunch up there faces and reply "like what farmers wear?" Let me tell you this trusty readers, overalls should not be feared! They were recently on the runways of Phillip Lim and Mischino telling the world that they are no longer a piece of work clothing, but a fashion statement to be reckoned with. Plus Kelly was able to catch Zack Morris while wearing them so just think of the wonders they can do for you!
