A to Z Search Engine Optimization Guide

STEP ONE: Your Niche and Domain Name
Your Niche
The first thing you need to do, is decide what niche you want to focus on. What
type of membership website will you be operating?
There are so many options out there, just look around at what others are doing,
you'll find membership sites that deal with Private Label Rights (PLR) material,
investment advice, health and fitness, vitamins and nutrition, news, etc.... There
are some HUGE playgrounds (markets) out there, and there's room for everyone
to play.
For the purpose of this program and showing you exactly how it's done, we have
went with the Internet Marketing niche, building a site that shows our members
how to earn an income online in various ways. That's what we'll focus on in this
report, but remember that the techniques we go over can be used in ANY niche,
for whatever type of membership site you wish to start.
Domain Name
After selecting your niche, you need a domain name to go along with it. Now it's
time to brainstorm, so get out a piece of paper, or open a blank word document,
and start thinking . . . list 10-15 domains that you would like to use for your
website. Always go with a .COM extension, and if you need help thinking of words
to use in your domain, you might try suggestions at Thesaurus.com.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Once you've got your list, head over to the domain name registar GoDaddy.com.
Each .COM domain you register at GoDaddy runs $12.99 per year. However,
never pay the full listed price. Instead, just run a Google or Bing search for
“GoDaddy Coupon Codes”, or “GoDaddy Promo Codes”, and you can usually find
a code that will take at least $3 off of that price for you. Sometimes you can even
get codes that will allow you to register a domain for $0.99, saving you $12!
Take the list of possible domain names you came up with, and start with your
favorite, making your way down the list until you find the first available domain.
And once you've found a domain available, go ahead and register it.
During the checkout process GoDaddy will try to upsell you on a wide variety of
options such as their own hosting service, private registration, etc... You do not
need any of these upgrades, decline all of them and pay for the domain name
only.
Once your domain is registered, it's time to setup hosting!
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
STEP TWO: Hosting
You've got a domain name registered, now it's time to setup hosting for that
domain. Hosting, and getting a good hosting service is vitally important to the
success of your business.
Those who are just starting out and on a limited budget may be tempted to go
with a “free” hosting service of some kind. Do not go this route! These free
hosting services often place ads on your site, and their reliability, the amount of
traffic and storage they allow, the features they come with, etc... these are all
extremely limited. It's just not something you want to be dealing with. You are
much better off spending a few bucks to get a good hosting service.
The hosting company we have used for many years, and highly recommend to
others is: HostGator.com.
As shown above, their plans start at under $4 per month, and include such
features as unlimited disk space and bandwidth, as well as a 99.9 percent uptime
guarantee.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Setting Up Your Nameservers
After joining HostGator, you should receive an email from them with your account
information. This will include the nameservers for your account.
Take note of these nameservers and login to your GoDaddy.com account.
Once inside your GoDaddy account, navigate to the domain management area.
Next, select the domain you want to manage, and then click the “set
nameservers” link.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Here you'll enter the nameserver info given to you by HostGator, and click click
“OK”.
That's it, you have now setup your nameservers!

STEP THREE: Your site
Your site will be split into two basic areas, the sales page (front end), and the
members area (locked “members only” area).
Sales page – This is the page where you do all of your selling. It's here that
visitors will arrive at your site, read over your sales page, and subscribe to your
membership site.
Members area – This is where those who have subscribed to your website will
go to view the content that comes with their purchase.
Outsourcing
If you've never written a sales page before, don't worry, we've got a way around
this problem. We recommend outsourcing the creation of your sales page. While
you could take the time to study and eventually write the sales page yourself, our
view is that this takes way too much time, and that your time is better spent on
other aspects of your business. Go ahead and outsource it through one of the
resources we recommend below.
Warriors For Hire Forum
This forum features many freelance writers, graphic designers, etc... who deal in
the Internet Marketing niche.

Outsourcing Tips
When outsourcing, it's key that you know who you are dealing with, and that you
select a provider who is going to do a great job for you. Just like there are good
and bad employees, there are good and bad providers too.
A few tips you can follow to ensure that your outsourcing experience goes as
smooth as possible include:
Make sure the service provider has been in business at least 3-months, and has
done previous work similar to what you are wanting them to do
Ask for samples of their previous work, and talk to past clients to see if they are
happy
Make sure they fully understand what you are looking for by hiring themselves
Put no more than 50 percent of the total project cost down, with the remaining
balance due upon your satisfied completion of the project.

Accepting Payments
Obviously you need a way for customers to subscribe to your service, and to
receive not only the initial payment, but each subsequent monthly payment.
There are several payment options out there, but the easiest way to set this up is
by using Paypal.
By using Paypal customers will have the option of making payment directly
through their Paypal account, or they can also use a credit or debit card.
You should have a dedicated Paypal account for this business. Don't use your
personal account, instead get a “Business Verified” Paypal account. This will
ensure there's no limit on the amount of money you can send or receive, and it
will also make things much easier for you come tax time.
The “Thank You” Page
After customers make their initial purchase from you, they need to be redirected
somewhere. You want to redirect them to your “thank you” page.
This page doesn't have to be anything fancy. It can simply be a page with your
logo, and text such as:
“We thank you for your purchase. Please watch your email for your account
information. If you have any questions, please let us know.
(your website name here)”
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
To create your “thank you” page, and any other static html pages you may need
(you can even use it to craft newsletters), we recommend going with a free html
program called Kompozer.
Images/Graphics
You'll need a supply of “stock photos” that you can use on your sales and thank
you pages, as well as for any other things you might need (such as logos,
buttons, etc...)
Two sites that we have used and can recommend are:
iStockPhoto.com.
Dreamstime.com
Both of these sites above offer a huge selection of images, and most are priced at
just a couple dollars each (often times less if you purchase credits in bulk).
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Editing Your Images
After you purchase your stock images, many times you won't want to use them
“as is”, but instead will want to make some minor changes, such as cropping,
rotating, changing colors, adding text, etc...
To accomplish this we recommend a program called Gimp.
It's absolutely free to use, and has many of the same features of programs
costing hundreds of dollars each.
Members Area
This is the “bread & butter” of your site. Your members area must function
properly, be easy for members to navigate, etc... It's key to your success.
Now, if you are a beginner, setting up a membership area with username and
password access may sound like a daunting task. No worries though, luckily there
are several tools out there that make setting up your members area a snap!
We'll use the content management system (CMS) known as Wordpress to manage
our content and members.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
If you have decided to go with HostGator as your website host, setting up
Wordpress is super easy, just follow these steps:
1. Log into your cpanel at HostGator
2. Scroll down until you're near the bottom, and find the “Software & Services”
section. Inside this you'll see the Fantastico icon (smiley face). Click on it.
3. On the next page you are directed to, click the “WordPress link over on the
left sidebar. Then select “New Installation”.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
4. On the next page, make sure your domain is selected from the drop down
“install on domain” box. Then, in the “install in directory” box, type in the
word “members”.
Make sure to complete the fields of: username and password, admin nickname,
your email, site name, and description. After you've completed all of these, click
“Install Wordpress” at the bottom of the page, and follow the rest of the on
screen instructions.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
To access the Wordpress area you just created, go to:
YourDomain.com/members/wp-admin and type in the username and password
you created earlier.
You'll notice that in the members area you can click “Add Post”. A very easy way
to manage your content is to simply create a new post for each months content
and provide links to download it in each monthly post.
Managing Members
Every time a customer subscribes to your site, they will need their own unique
username and password to access the members content on your site.
To manage your members and their information, we recommend using the
Wordpress Plugin called “Your Members”.
YourMembers.
Purchase and install this plugin using your WordPress admin area. After you've
installed the plugin, you can view the massive number of tutorials and guides that
YourMembers has made available by clicking here.
Everything you need to know as far as setting up payments, managing members,
adding content pages, etc.... it's all covered in their tutorials.

STEP FOUR: Members Content
As they say “Content is King”, and as long as you can continually supply quality
content to your members, you'll have a thriving business.
Creating new content month after month . . . that sounds daunting to just about
anyone, even many experts. But here's the cool thing: You don't have to create a
single page or even a single sentence of this content yourself. Heck, you don't
even have to be an expert or knowledgeable in the niche you've created your
membership site around. Sure, it helps to be fairly knowledgeable, but it's
definitely not a requirement.
You've got two basic options when it comes to content creation, which we'll go
over below.
Option #1: Content From Scratch
The first, and most obvious option, is to create all of the content yourself. This is
time consuming, but a benefit to this is that it will save you a good deal of
money.
You don't need to be an expert writer to create your own content, all you need is
the ability to write basic “step-by-step” type instructions, which most all of us can
do (at least after a little practice). information they are looking for, not “fluff”.
Always remember that!
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Researching Your Content
The best way to write your own content, is to simply start researching. Look at it
as you would if you were writing a college paper, and you needed to do your own
research.
Use Google to find all of the facts you need for your month of content. An easy
way to do this is to open a blank document and start cutting and pasting all of the
info you find relevant. After an hour or so, you might have 10 or more pages of
information that you have copied to your document.
Now, obviously you cannot use this content “as is”, as someone else wrote the
content, and you do not have the rights to use it. However, what you can do is
take this information and use it as your own personal research notes. Then,
rewrite everything in your own words. Boom! Just like that you have now created
your own content!
For content creation, we like to use the free program called OpenOffice.
After you've finished writing your content, you can simply go to “File”, and then
“Export as PDF” to create a PDF file of your content.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
PLR
Another way to create your own content is to purchase the rights to content that
has already been created. This kind of content is known as Private Label Rights
(PLR) content.
If you purchase PLR content, think of it as your own personal notes. Don't just
send PLR content “as is” to your members. Instead, heavily modify it, writing the
content in your own words. You should not only rewrite the content, but make it
BETTER. Make it better by adding additional pictures, or graphs, or going into
more detail, etc...
Why go to all this trouble? Because you want your members area content to be
unique. Unique content is very important to your overall business success.
It's Not Rocket Science
Although it may not sound like it at this point, I promise you that creating your
own product isn't rocket science. In fact, it's not even complicated, not even for a
beginner. For example, let's say you spend 1-day on research, and then 3-days
creating your content. If you add 1 new batch of content to your members area
each month, you have worked 4-days, and can then use the other 26-days of the
month to focus on other important aspects of your business (such as advertising,
growing your business, etc...).
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Option #2: Outsourcing
Creating your own product saves money, but it is a fair amount of work that
many may not be interested in for whatever reason. That's okay though, because
there's a great option called “outsourcing” available to create your own product.
In most cases, you should be able to get your own 20-40 length informational
product put together for anywhere from $150-$250.
Below are the sites we recommend using when looking to outsource your content
creation.
Elance.com
Warriors For Hire
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
WickedFire Content Forum
As we recommended earlier when outsourcing other aspects of your business,
always ask for samples of past work, and don't pay the full price up front (put no
more than 50% of the total project cost down).
Since you are running a membership site, and need content on a consistent basis,
it's also a good idea to make sure you have a clear and firm deadline for your
project provider. Let them know that the work must be completed by a certain
date.
Pricing Your Monthly Membership
We believe that the best strategy is to price your monthly membership fee at
around the $5 per month mark. This is a pricing level that just about anyone can
afford.
Another advantage to this price point, is that it's “forgettable”. You may have
subscribers stay on for many months, even years, simply because they do not
check their credit card and Paypal statements that carefully. It's a forgotten $5 a
month that goes right into your wallet.
The higher your price point goes, the less likely you are to have “forgotten”
membership fees.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
STEP FIVE: Advertising
Okay, let's go over the various ways we advertise our membership site. Keep in
mind that these tactics are geared towards the niche of Internet Marketing.
However, you can take this general strategy that we use, and apply the same
principles to any niche by utilizing different sites, resources, etc...
Where to AdvertiseYou want at least 2-3 ads in total running at any given time.
The advertising consists of:.
● Place ads on WarriorForum.com ($40 each**) - In what's called the Warrior
Special Offers Forum
● Place ads on WarriorForum.com ($40 each**) - In the Classifieds Section
● Place ads in the "Buy, Sell, Trade" forums at DigitalPoint (free).
**There is a one time fee of $37 to become a War Room member before you can
post ads for $40 each in the WSO forum and Classifieds.
Digitalpoint – Buy Sell Trade Forum
For Digitalpoint you must be a member for 14 days, have at least 25 posts to
your name, and have an overall positive reputation. We recommend getting at
least 50 posts to your name before you start advertising. This can be easily
accomplished by just posting relevant, on topic comments in various threads.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Warrior Forum – WSO Forum
For the WarriorForum you want to get at least 50 good quality posts before
posting your ad. You can ask questions, comment on other posts, etc...
You can get this number of posts in just 1 week.
You want these posts made so that you contribute to the forum, and are a more
established member. The better established you are, the more sales you will
receive. Just 10-20 minutes each day is all it takes to establish yourself as a
member, it's not hard to accomplish at all.
Pricing
The price you offer in your ads should always be lower than the advertised price
on your sales page. Why? This creates the illusion of a great deal, and everyone
wants to be part of a deal...thus creating more sales for your business.
Review Copies
At DigitalPoint you will, without a doubt, be asked for review copies from forum
members. If you want, give away a couple review copies to members with 250+
posts, and 25+ itrader. I would advise against setting up a full membership for
them. Instead, simply give them 1-month of content to review.
Your Ad Text
The body text, and especially the subject line, are EXTREMELY important in
determining the success of your ad. Let's face it. HYPE sells. Period. And there is
absolutely nothing wrong with using hype as part of your sales pitch, as long as
you can deliver on that hype.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Below in blue is a sample subject line line that could work well.48HRS ONLY! EARN THOUSANDS PER WEEK! SECRET STRATEGIES!
Updating Headlines
Update your headline every 5 to 7-days to keep it “fresh”.
A good way to brainstorm headlines is to look at the most popular headlines at
WarriorForum, and then modify a couple of these for your own use. Try and see
what “hot buttons” these headlines are pushing, and push these same buttons
with your headline.
For the actual ad copy itself, just use the exact same copy on your sales page. Of
course you'll want to use a different price point as discussed earlier, but other
than the price it can be identical.
Testimonials
Add testimonials to your sales page as you get them. The more testimonials you
have on your sales page, the more “social proof” this creates. “Social proof” =
money in the bank!
Special Offer Pricing
Change the pricing on your offers every week or so to test, tweak, and find out
what price brings the best conversions.
For example, on the first week you could offer a “48hr Special” and raise the price
by $1 every 48hrs. So you could start at $9, then go to $10, $11, etc....
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
For Week 2 you could offer your membership at $5/month
For Week 3 you could offer your membership at $7/month
For Week 4 you could offer your membership at $3/month (but only for the first
25 subscribers)
You get the idea here, just test, test, test, always mix it up to see what works.
You may be surprised by the results you get.
Backend Offer
A “backend offer” is highly recommended. This is extremely easy to setup. Simply
find a product that is related to your niche by searching the affiliate networks
such as JVZoo. Once you've found a compatible offer, place a link to this offer on
your “thank you” page. Of course you want it to sound as enticing as possible, so
make sure to use any available text and graphics that may be supplied to you by
in the affiliate section of JVZoo.
You can also send occasional emails to your members with offers that relate to
your niche. From our own experience, we've found that with just a small list (a
few hundred subscribers), you can easily generate an extra $500 per month in
revenue. This is revenue above and beyond your normal monthly membership
fees, it's like icing on the cake!
Stand Alone Product
Here's another idea to generate revenue: Sell each months content on it's own –
with no recurring monthly fee, just sell it as it's own stand alone product! If
you've got 6-months of content, you've suddenly got 6 new “mini products” that
you can offer for sale!
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
WarriorForum Advertising
Once your ad has fallen off of the 2nd page of listings in the WSO forum, you are
allowed to “bump” it back up to the first spot on the first page by paying another
$40. Make certain that you are “bumping” your existing ad, NOT creating a brand
new ad each time. The key is to build momentum, which will take hold once you
have 1,000+ views, and many comments on your ad thread. This can only
happen if you “bump” your ad. If you just place a new ad each time, it won't
happen, and you won't get the same results.
DigitalPoint Advertising
At Digitalpoint just try to answer any questions that come along. You are allowed
to bump your ad every 25 days. They do have an upgrade option that allows you
to bump every 7 days. However, this involves a yearly fee of $125. If your ads
are doing well and the cost is justified, it's something you might want to consider.
Tracking Offers
You obviously need to know what ads are pulling in sales, and what ads are not.
A very easy way to setup tracking is to put a “tag” in the product name when you
create your various paypal buttons.
For example, you could put “wso” in the product name for a Paypal button that is
going to be used for a WarriorForum WSO ad.
Using this “tagging” technique will allow you to easily track your ads. This is a
must.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
Autoresponder
Sign up for an autoresponder at aweber.com.
AWeber starts at just $19.95 per month. Once signed up, place a sign up box for
a “business newsletter” on your “thank you” page. This will allow you to build
your own subscriber list, and then you can recommend similar products to them,
INCREASING YOUR INCOME even more!
We recommend sending a newsletter once or twice per week.
You can use sites such as mthink.com to come up with your newsletter content.
If your product niche is outside of Internet Marketing, visit Big-Boards.com to find
the largest forums that relate to your niche, and use those forums to gather
content.
The ratio of non promotional to promotional emails should be at least 2 to 1. That
is, send 2 non promotional emails for every email that you send promoting a
product.
The newsletters should come across as very friendly, not “corporate” in tone.

***SAMPLE EMAIL***
We want to start by saying, that very rarely do we recommend a product
from an "internet guru".
We like to know that the product works first hand, we also want to know
that the support is there for you. The only way we can do that, is
by taking care of everything ourselves. That's why we don't make
recommendations very often.
Today is that rare exception. We have come across an eBook, over 240
pages in length, detailing 20 different ways that anyone can use to
make $100 per day online, from the comfort of their home.
The author is very credible, and we have read through it several times
ourselves. It's just an incredible product - especially at this extremely
low price. In our opinion, it could have easily sold for 10x the cost!
It's 100% risk free. There's no risk on your part at all.
Just click here for complete details on this amazing program.
Sincerely,
(your website name here)

Recruiting Affiliates
Join PayGear.com, Clickbank, and JVZoo, list your product with them, paying at
least 60% commission. As customers purchase your product invite them to
become an affiliate and earn commissions on the sale of it. You can invite them
through a message in your autoresponder.
Rinse and repeat
Just follow these same steps each day (about 20-30 minutes per day of work),
and see good profits!
To sum everything up, you'll see a flow chart on the next page that shows how
your business should be operating (*sales from affiliates not shown).

STEP SIX: Big Money Profits
After operating your business for a few months, you should have a nice steady
income coming in, on a monthly basis.
Now you've got a decision to make: Do you keep the smaller monthly payments
over time? Or do you take a larger, one time lump sum payout?
The advantages to the smaller monthly payments, is that you'll have something
each month, it's consistent money.
The lump sum payout also has it's own advantages, as you'll have a larger
amount of capital that you can work with at once, which may open up new
possibilities.
If you decide to go for the larger one time payment, that will mean selling your
business. To sell your business we recommend listing it at Flippa.com.
A few of things to remember listing at Flippa:
• Include as much information as possible in your listing. This means screen
shots of revenue, traffic, and any other info a potential buyer might want to
see.
KillerProfitSecrets.com - Copyright 2013
• Always use Escrow.com for payment. This will ensure the safe transfer of
your business, and ensure that you are paid.
Sell, or Keep?
Whatever your decision is, it's completely up to you. There's not really a right or
wrong answer here. Some people enjoy a steady stream of revenue. For others,
it's all about the thrill of building the business, and then selling it off for a large
one time lump sum payment.
You may decide to create multiple membership sites over time, keeping some of
these long term, and selling others for a lump sum payment. Again, there's no
right or wrong here, it's whatever you are most comfortable with.
