Presentación
¿Cómo utilizar este libro?
• Este libro está dividido en 20 capítulos. Cada capítulo trata sobre un tema (el baño, la playa, la co-mida, etc.), y está dividido en cuatro secciones: un poema, un cuento, vocabulario y frases.
El poema: se puede leer en cualquier momento del día, en la comida, en el baño o antes deacostarse. Lo bueno sería que el niño se lo aprendiera de memoria. Solo son cuatro líneasy tienen un ritmo gracioso. Su objetivo es ¡pura diversión en inglés!
El cuento: es buena idea leer el cuento antes de que el niño se acueste. Es beneficioso paraun niño ver que para sus padres el inglés es algo natural (¡aunque os cueste!). Si no os atre-véis, siempre podéis poner el CD.
El vocabulario: se presentan ocho palabras relacionadas con el tema de cada capítulo.Reta a tus niños para que se las aprendan, pero siempre de forma lúdica.
- Las frases: esta sección está dirigida a los padres. Estudia cada lista y escucha el CD parair cogiendo agilidad con las estructuras. Poco a poco, atrévete a hablar a tus niños en in-glés. Aunque estén estudiando inglés en la guardería o en el colegio, es muy probable quete contesten en español. No te desanimes. Es algo muy positivo que tu hijo entienda que elinglés no es como otra asignatura académica y que lo hable y lo escuche fuera del ámbitoescolar. Con paciencia, poco a poco te contestará.
• En el CD hemos agrupado todos los poemas y los cuentos para que el niño pueda disfrutar deldisco sin tener que escuchar las frases destinadas a sus padres. Las frases se encuentran todas jun-tas al principio del disco. Es aconsejable poner el disco, tanto como "música de fondo" como pres-tándole una mayor atención mientras se lee el libro.

Tim feels very important. He feels very important because when he getsdressed, everybody pays attention. His brother Jack has to get dressedby himself and so does his sister Lucy. But Tim is special becauseMummy and Daddy help him to get dressed. What's more, he is the onlyone in the house who gets to wear nappies - special pants for specialpeople. They're especially comfortable and especially warm - perfect forsitting on the floor and not getting cold. The only problem with nappiesis that you have to change them three or four times a day and Mummy andDaddy pulí funny faces when they change Tim. Oh well, I suppose thafsthe price you have to pay when you're important.

Son especialmente cómodos y es-pecialmente calentitos; vamos, perfectos para sentarse en el suelo yno coger frío. El único inconveniente con los pañales es que hay quecambiarlos tres o cuatro veces al día y mamá y papá ponen carasraras cuando cambian a Tim. Bueno, supongo que es el precio quetienes que pagar cuando eres importante.

Tim is íhe worid record holder at crawling. He can crawl faster íhan a nor-mal person can walk. As you can imagine, this makes things difficult forhis mum and dad. He can disappear in a matter of seconds. For instance,once the whoie family was eating in a restaurant when Tim suddenlydisappeared. Nobody could find him. They looked for him under the table,in the córner, on the floor, by the stairs, in the kitchen, in the cupboards,on the rug, in the fireplace and in the recepíion área. Tim was nowhere íobe seen. Suddenly, Lucy looked out of íhe window and said, "There he is!"And sure enough, there was Tim playing in the resíauraní garden wiíh alovely whíte caí. MIAOWWWWWÜÜ

Jack loves bedtime. It's his favourite time of day because he can get underthe blanket and créate a special world for himself and his favourite teddybear Jaffers. Jaffers is incredible. He can fly, he can do handsíands, hecan do somersaulís, he can jump higher than anyone in the whole worldand he can swim faster than anyone too. Jaffers lives on top of a veryhigh mountain from where he can see absolutely everything. He hasmagic eyes so he can see through things. He can even see what'shappening behind him. Jack feels a bit frustraíed. You see there are so many things to learn andhe only knows how to do a few of them. For example, now he can eaí witha knife and fork but he can't tie his shoelaces. He's tried many times buthe always forgets the last bit. "Don't worry Jack," saíd Dad, Til show youa way to make it easier for you." And Jack's dad stuck some colouredtape to the end of each shoelace. On one end he stuck red tape and onthe other end green tape. That way Jack would always know which endbelonged to which shoelace. That same day Jack managed to tie his shoe-laces for the very first time. "Hooray!" said Jack. "You see, with pracíiceeven difficult things become easy."

"It's snowing!" cried Lucy. Jack had never seen snow before and was veryexcited. He was even more excited when Dad said: "Let's make a snow-man." "What's a snowman?" asked Jack. "A snowman's a man who livesin the snow but you can't see him. You have to make him appear byrolling the snow around. He needs a hat and a scarf to keep warm. He has to puthis í-shirt on before he puts on his jumper. Then he has to remember tobrush his teeth before he goes to bed and wash his hands before he eats.It's all so complicated. Sometimes he gets the order wrong and puts hissocks on over his shoes and other times he puts his coat on back to front,which makes his mum laugh. Never mind Jack, you'll soon learn!
