LOL... It may be confusing for some but really we are in

transition and building the model that has been part of

our strategic plan since the beginning to develop an unbiased listener-driven new music charting system called the Global Top 40.

Here is how the system works. Essentially there will always be two sets of

charts. The Monthly Top 10 New Songs where the Jury will listen to brand new song releases and debuts and then select the songs for ranking using our

exclusive 5-point evaluation system. These are the songs that are featured

monthly on our Show and in the new Kickradio Magazine.

The second set of Charts is the Overall Global Charts (This month it is the

Global Top 20 and in June it will be the Global Top 30, and so on and so forth

until July when we will have reached 40). Once we have breached all 40

spots the chart s will be completed for the Global Top 40. The only way a song can be on the overall charts is to first appear on the Monthly Charts.

Only the songs that have appeared on the Monthly charts can be considered

and voted upon for consideration to the overall charts. According to Jury

Rules the longest any particular song can stay on the charts is 5 times. That

way we ensure that only NEW music is represented.

These charts are the fairest system we have ever seen. As we all know the

fate of music, of a song in particular, is ultimately decided by listeners any-

way. Listeners are the "customer", the buyer of music.

There are no known ways to rig the voting that we are aware of. The Jury is

objective but also subjective. Quite frankly, if they like it they will vote for it

-- if they don't, they won't. There can be no salting of sales to propel a new song to the top of our charts even before their release (record store pre-

orders) before the buying public has even had a chance to hear it (ever

smelled this rat before?). I used to wonder how a song could catapult it’s

way to the top of a traditional chart before the public even hears it and it be-

ing based on sales (if you haven’t heard it would have you purchased it?). Nor do number of song plays on the internet count because there are some

unscrupulous folks out there who program click-bots (automated software)

that can trigger the song counts (tricking actual song plays making artificially

inflated counts—thus ranking higher) making "those" charts totally rigged and unreliable.

This is music history, folks. Enjoy it because you are now a part of it. Just

bare with us until August when we will have the chart building complete.

In 2006 the band, Cling, released their debut CD “Sonic Spells” which was very well received by critics and audience alike. The music from Sonic Spells has since been played on numerous radio shows including BBC Radio Essex and Capitals Ten17 in Harlow. All of the tracks from Sonic Spells were also used for several epi-sodes of the cult Internet TV show Welcome To The Scene. In 2007 Cling started playing live, and have now played @ Sound Factory, Cafe de Paris,The Ambient Picnic Festival,Club Toro, Synthetic, and The Cobden Club. Rockangel has been writing songs since 1997 and has writ-ten for artists from Singapore to the UK. This particular song was inspired while Rockangel was working on the set of "Dante's Peak" as an extra for four months in Wallace, Idaho where she had relationship difficulties with her ex (who actually took pride in the song). "Gimme Gimme Some Heartache" was actually the very first song she ever wrote,

Founded in April, 2002, Arlington Attic's Lead Singer, Writer, Engineer and Producer is Thomas "TJ" Rilling and Brian Hawkins serves at guitar, percussion, keyboards and Bass. Meeting through a mutual friend, Brian and TJ immediately realized they were a great match for songwriting. Brian, the composer and TJ the lyricist, they soon developed a strong working relationship and eagerly began putting their first CD together, eventually entitled "Act of Desperation."

their music live. TJ's skills at videography and editing triggered the concept of producing and recording their own music vid-eos, gaining them needed ex-posure. After a two-year hiatus, in 2007 they decided to get back into the

studio and finish their second CD, originally started shortly after the re-lease of "Act of Des-peration." Entitled "Monsters in the At-tic," it contained more of their solid Rock and Roll foun-dation and added a new approach to their recordings.

Bringing in an internet friend, Cliff Houck, who generously lent his guitar skills and composed the title track of the album, they added a whole new feel and soulfulness to the selections.

Despite a 10 year age difference and coming from com-pletely different backgrounds -- TJ from Port Washing-ton, WI and Brian from Virginia Beach VA -- they have demonstrated that the creation of good, honest, heartfelt music has no limitations or boundaries. "We never started off to be rock stars," explains TJ, "It was merely about making music we and others could relate to and enjoy." the years. You might say, I am a "Band of One", although pro-jects are starting to

come my way now out of collaborating with other musicians I have met. I started playing the clarinet 46 yrs ago at the age of nine, and trained

as a classical musi-cian for the next nine years. This founda-tion in music has stayed with me in my life's journey, per-

forming in genres from Big Band Swing to rock. Sometimes as a hobby, and sometimes for a liv-ing, I've always strived to add to my

craft over the years. I joined my first pro band at the age of 16, playing alto sax in a ten piece band. I traveled a bit at age 18 from Ohio to New

Orleans, eventually moving westward. I worked with several

song writers in and around L. A. for a few years in the late 80's early

90's, in "garage" bands and studios or just standing as a guest with

friends, playing locally in various clubs in Hollywood and in the beach

areas, where I was living then. Regretfully, I had to take a break for a while, almost retiring from music altogether in the mid 90's. Living the

"party life" had nearly cost me everything, and I knew I had to make a

change in lifestyle or I'd never live to see the next century. So I moved

to Denver, where I live now, and cleaned up my act! I have kept my

craft going through writing and recording my own compositions and

performing live in Christian contemporary music. Among the instru-

ments I play (but by no means have mastered!!) are: Alto sax, clarinet,

keyboards, acoustic/electric/bass guitar, and harmonica. My percussion

tracks are a combination of live (special thanks to my friend Robert

Waddington aka Dr Zinc Studios), looped, and creations that I write from software programs. Today, I am exploring the new internet music

frontier as a means of sharing my art with the world.

2. Alienating One's Target Market is the

People view record labels and music in-

dustry professionals as greedy and dis-honest. This is a fact. It's brought on

partly because of the way we've done

business in the last 70 years, but

mostly because we've resorted to suing

college students, jailing talented com-

puter programmers, and strong-arming universities across the US.

As an industry, we suck! We'll have to

learn to "un-suck" in order to get things

moving again. If we can win back public

trust, we can turn a profit once more.

3. Touting Pirate Bay as a "Victory"

Buys Into The Outdated Business Model

of "Selling Records"

Yes, music industry, it was great when

we had a physical product and people paid us handsomely for it, but those

days are going the way of the dinosaur

- If we don't start to explore new in-

come streams as an industry we're go-

ing to be extinct faster than the dodo.

Suing pirates in a "whack-a-mole" fash-

ion not only costs labels millions of dol-

lars in legal fees and damages the

reputation of the music biz as a whole,

but also points our Tyrannosaurus Rex-

like, single-pointed focus in a direction that's failing - towards the old business

model!

If the music business' old business

model was working, we wouldn't have

to sue pirates, because we'd be too rich to care.

I hereby proclaim the album dead! Now

what??

Alexander Shulgin is a leading executive in the new Russian music industry, having worked with such iconic artists as Valeria, Mumiy Troll, Dima Malikov, Gruppa.fm and many others. Mr. Shulgin owns and

operates Familia Entertainment, a record label, and Familia Publishing, a publishing company. In addition to top-10 songs, his catalogue includes a diverse ar-

ray of rare releases, in-cluding hundreds of the best-known Russian gypsy songs, Songs of Siberian

Exile and Best Songs of WWI, all of which are part of Russia's unique musical heritage. Shulgin's career be-

gan at the age of 19 in the leg-endary Russian rock band

The Cruise, re-garded as the first rock-band of the USSR to

tour abroad (1983-1986). Despite being known as anti-Soviet and no mass media attention, The Cruise went on to sell

20 million copies of their debut album in 1985.

After The Cruise, Shulgin began working in Ger-many, where he created

"The Taiga Symphony". A fusion of Russian classic music with western rock-

music, the al-bum featured The Moscow Symphony

Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan and re-spected Western mu-

sicians Alvin Lee, Paul Car-rack, Mel Collins, Phil Palmer and JJ Belle. The al-bum was also

the beginning of Valeria's career, who

would become one of the most popular singers in Russia.

Shulgin then created an-other ambitious East-West

collaboration with BBC World-wide called "Merry Christmas to the World". With lyrics and production by Richard Niles

and music by Shulgin, it ex-pressed the ethos of glasnost. London studio musicians per-formed with members of the Moscow Symphony and the Soviet Folk Orchestra. Sung by Valeria, the video was directed

by Ken Russell who used it in his film "Alice in Russia-land" (1998). Shot in Red Square, the clip featured psy-chic Uri Geller and became the grand finale of the New Year

program on the first national TV channel of the Soviet

Union. Shulgin helped "FM Group" to record the debut album

named "Made In Russia" and recorded an album of Alexan-der Byinov. He subsequently recorded a solo album for "FM Group" lead-singer Alevtina Egorova, also working with Tatiana Ovsienko and Nastya

Shirokova. He also wrote ma-terial for two Elena Sheremet albums, "Lady-Sax" and "Lady-sax (The Remixes)," combin-ing so-called easy listening with the saloon jazzy sound,

as well as "Sax It Easy"and "Sax It Up! - The Remixes".

Shulgin is also a composer

of music for films and TV,

his songs appearing in

films by Lukas Moodysson and Ken Russell. In 2005,

Shulgin was invited to

write 20 original songs for

the music serial

"Primadonna". He also

wrote three leading

themes for the film and all

the songs for the final

show of "Primadonna".

Shulgin is also the director of the first public TV chan-

nel "Spas" for which he

composed all the music.

His latest project is a three-

album compilation titled

"Triptych" that contains new

music, melodies and instrumen-tals from the composer's works

that had yet to be performed.

including legendary drummer

Billy Cobham, pianist Gary Hus-

band, bassist John Patitucci and

guitarist Paul Drew to name a

few, uniting their various styles

In the last 12

months, Casia has written al-

most 200 lyrics

with 85% of

them either fin-ished or being

worked on by

internet bands

putting together

albums, solo per-forming artists

and musicians who are just creating mu-

sic for the fun of it. “I work closely with

over 70 collaborators worldwide and I’ve had to learn to be quite the project man-

ager. As a creative person, this can be

difficult at times, but I’ve reached the

point where I can tell you at any one time where each of my songs are in the mix

and who’s doing what.”

Casia has been called “prolific”, “a writ-

ing machine” and “unstoppable” and she is determined to make a difference in this

new industry of Internet Music Collabo-

rating. Her strongest influences are

bands from the 70’s and 80’s with a spe-

cial connection with Leonard Cohen.

Born and raised a small town prairie girl,

Casia knows you have to work hard to get

the struggling artist in me, you might say, and I appreciate more each of my lit-

The three artists all met through

the collaboration

site “Musicians

Collaboration”. Casia and Yolande

are currently

working on an al-

bum of heartfelt ballads with Matt

Kaprelian, a musi-

cian-mixer from

the U.S.A. The al-

bum will feature some songs in Af-

rikanese as well.

Yolande started playing piano at age 5. She later played the saxophone with

singing being one of her subjects

throughout high school. “I studied Politi-

cal Science at the University of the North-west in Pothchefstroom (South Africa).

Although it’s an interesting field, espe-

cially in South Africa at the moment, my

interest in music has won hands down”. Yolande belonged to a theatre group for

three years (Alabama Student Company)

and did about 60 performances per year

throughout South Africa. The show con-

sisted of popular music from around the world.

After University, she began performing as a

solo artist, focusing mainly on Afrikaans

Cabaret. Yolande is now married and has moved to the South-coast as it is a crime free

area at the moment where one can actually

raise children to be children. Unfortunately,

the music opportunities are not as good as in Johannesburg, but she tries to do at least one

big show a year to keep in touch with the in-

dustry. Since moving, she has been involved

in local community theatre playing keyboard and has been doing smaller gigs at private

functions, festivals etc. “For now, music is a

passionate hobby for me, but since I began

collaborating on the internet, who knows where this will lead. I am very excited about

the whole venture.”

Music has always been a part of Adam Kirby’s

life. At five he started playing violin and picked up the oboe at age ten. Since 2003,

he’s been composing music on a computer-

based set-up mostly electronically created,

but he enjoys combining live instruments into the mix. Kirby has a strong interest in sound-

track scoring and post production and would

love to turn this hobby into a full-time career.

Casia writes most days and when she’s not

writing you can find her hanging out at her

favorite collaboration sites: Musicians Col-

laboration, Kompoz, Indiemusicworks and In-

daba Music where she has become a well-known collaborator, decision maker and crea-

tive influence.

Casia just finished putting a rock album to-gether in the month of February 2009 with a

group of musicians from Kompoz for the In-

ternational RPM challenge with several songs

streaming on internet radio. The group is from Canada, U.S.A. Sweden, Spain, France,

Italy, Scotland and the Bahamas. Casia is

currently working on three albums. One with

an internet rock band called Stonehinged from Canada, the U.S.A. and the U.K., one al-

bum of pop songs with performing vocalist

Victoria Linskaya of Russia and her most cur-

rent venture with Yolande Strauss of South

Africa.

has placed in two International

Music Festivals with Casia’s

lyrics and sang “Won’t You Be Mine” during the 2008 Golden

Stag International Pop Festival

in Brasnov, Romania. It was

televised live on Romania’s largest national television net-

work, Televiziunea Romana.

Casia’s songs have been ex-

posed at festivals in Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova with

plans for exposure in 2009-

2010 in Spain, Chile and Ser-

bia.

ing and sales, Casia is writing

articles in her spare time to

mote themselves to their audi-

Petra Luna is rebel with a great

cause. She is an advocate and activ-

ist who fights against child abuse. She has been slandered by

the various elements of the main-

stream, child, predator, sympathizing

media and won, after being sued for

an anti-child sex offender protest she

participated in. Through recording her 2nd CD titled Empowerment,

dedicated to helping victims of do-

mestic violence, she blew up on

myspace.com and her followers

started launching satellite web sites

and pages to compliment and sup-port other aspects of the cause to

fight all forms of domestic abuse and

animal abuse.

This network came to be called the,

“War On Abuse Movement,” and through a petition Petra was elected

the leader of this grass roots ef-

fort. From 2006 to the present, this

internet, advocate network of over

100 web sites, web pages, videos

and blogs has received over 2.5 mil-lion hits.

Petra sings in 8 languages, is an

amazing dancer, can perform any

musical style and refuses to limit her

creative directions. She is a real “Indy,” artist and always remains

true to her form and fans. She has

had musical hits in Europe and

Southeast Asia. A single from the CD

Empowerment called “Pero Lo

Amo,” (meaning “But I Love Him” in Spanish), hit #1 all genres, gaining

her a nomination for best Hip Hop

Song and Best Female Artist, on the

worlds second largest internet radio

network, KIAC. Petra lives in Los An-

geles, and is one of the most re-quested, top paid, live singers in

town. She has a busy, studio session

schedule and has become a smash

hit in the International commu-nity. She is currently recording songs

for 2 new upcoming Extended Play

short CD releases. In 2008, Petra

formed a non-profit organization to

fight child abuse and has signed all

her music publishing and proceeds from the sales of her upcoming mu-

sic to her new organization she
