The infamous Indianapolis Motor Speedway has chosen Revel as its preferred Point of Sale. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway opened in 1909 and draws in roughly 250,000 attendees per year. Aydelott’s biggest pain point before switching to Revel was the slow transaction processing. Their old POS couldn’t keep up with the high volume demand, leading to lagging lines and dissatisfied customers. Now with Revel’s ability to accelerate speed of service during busy rushes, Aydelott shared, “We can get customers through the lines at a much quicker pace. Aydelott needed a Point of Sale that was fully customizable to his exact wants. Revel was the perfect fit as its POS is known for its flexibility and customization capabilities. No ask is too far-fetch and Revel worked extremely close with Aydelott to understand his pain points and how to provide a solution for each. From beginning to end, Revel worked side by side with Aydelott through product customization while providing 24/7 customer support. Aydelott shared, “We’ve had some (Point of Sale) requests that were kind of left field, but Revel has been amazing on appeasing our asks. The Revel team has been working with us here at the Indianapolis 500 and has been phenomenal. Everyone, including customer support, is extremely knowledgeable, nice, and supportive making this entire process a great experience.”

Revel’s Point of Sale customized according to Aydelott’s needs and wants

Other POS systems can take up to months to install their system. Not with Revel. Revel was able to install 210 terminals at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway within one week. Every POS terminal was ready to go and start processing transactions. It was important for Aydelott to get the POS terminals up and running quick, fast, and hasslefree. He shared, “Revel has helped us decrease business cost with its ease of deployment. With other systems we’ve used at this track it took months to deploy, but with Revel we were able to deploy all 210 terminals within one week. The interface is very easy and employees who are familiar with using an iPad found the POS system quick to pick up. Employees were trained on Revel’s POS within minutes

PUMPING THE BRAKES ON SPOTTY INTERNET

Indianapolis Motor Speedway opened in 1909, meaning operations are in a 100yearold building. The building had poor Internet connection and would result in frequent connectivity slowdowns or outages. Internet issues can directly impact sales by shutting down a POS system’s ability to continue processing transactions. However, with Revel’s Always On Mode, spotty Internet is no longer an issue. Aydelott uses Always On Mode, allowing POS terminals to continue processing payments and save valuable data even in the event of an Internet outage. He shared, “Revel’s Always On Mode saves me money because we work in a 100-year-old building that has very limited connectivity. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is ramping up for its hundredth running of the Indy 500 in 2016. All the gears are being set in motion for an amazing eight hour window to come. Aydelott feels confident their stadium is ready to handle any high volume of transactions that come their way now that they have switched to Revel Systems.
