2.6 PLACEMENT AND COMPACTION: PLACE BACKFILL AND FILL MATERIALS IN LAYERS NOTMORE THAT 8 INCHES IN LOOSE DEPTH FOR MATERIAL COMPACTED BY HEAVY COMPACTIONEQUIPMENT, AND NOT MORE THAN 4 INCHES IN LOOSE DEPTH FOR MATERIAL COMPACTED BY

HAND-OPERATED TAMPERS.

2.7 CONTROL SOIL AND FILL COMPACTION UNDER BUILDING SLAB, COMPACTING TOP 12 INCHESOF SUBGRADE AND EACH LAYER OF BACKFILL OR FILL MATERIAL AT 95 PERCENT OF MAXIMUMDENSITY. 3.0 CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE

3.1 ALL CONCRETE WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE ACI "BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS FORREINFORCED CONCRETE", ACI-318, LATEST EDITION; TO ACI-301 "SPECIFICATIONS FORCONCRETE FOR BUILDINGS"; AND TO ACI-117 “SPECIFICATIONS FOR TOLERANCES FORCONCRETE CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS”, CURRENT ADDITIONS.

3.2 MINIMUM CONCRETE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH (FC ) TO BE 3500 PSI AT 28 DAYS, UNLESSNOTED OTHERWISE. CONCRETE EXPOSED TO FREEZING AND THAWING TO BE AIR ENTRAINEDTO 4% - 6%. CONCRETE ADMIXTURES CONTAINING CALCIUM CHLORIDE OR OTHER CHLORIDESALTS SHALL NOT BE USED.

5.6 MINIMUM CENTER-TO-CENTER SPACING BETWEEN BOLTS TO BE 3". MINIMUM EDGEDISTANCE TO BE 1-1/4" FROM CENTER OF BOLTS TO EDGE OF STEEL.

3. ALL CABLING SHALL BE "MC" CABLE WITH A FULL SIZE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR OR CONDUIT WITHTHWN/THHN CONDUCTORS WITH A FULL SIZE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR, UON. RACEWAYS SHALL BERUN EXPOSED IN UNFINISHED AREAS TIGHT TO THE UNDERSIDE OF STRUCTURE AND PARALLEL ORPERPENDICULAR TO THE BUILDING WALLS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED OTHERWISE

4. ALL CIRCUITS SHALL BE MINIMUM WIRE SIZE OF #12 AWG THWN/THHN COPPER EXCEPT FOR SIGNALAND CONTROL WIRING.

5. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL AND CONNECT POWER WIRING TO EQUIPMENTFURNISHED BY OTHERS AND SHALL WIRE LINE VOLTAGE THERMOSTATS FOR MECHANICALEQUIPMENT AS WELL AS LINE SIDE OF ALL STARTERS, RELAYS, AND CONTACTORS FOR MECHANICALEQUIP.

6. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL DISCONNECT SWITCHES AS REQUIRED BYCODE WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE INDICATED ON PLANS.

7. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BALANCE THE LOAD IN EACH PANEL.

8. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK.

9. MULTI-WIRE CIRCUITS (NEUTRAL SHARING) ARE PROHIBITED FROM THE ENTIRE PROJECT UNLESSWRITTEN PERMISSION IS OBTAINED FROM THE DESIGN ENGINEER.

10. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL WIRE ALL BATTERY BACKED BALLAST, SECURITY RECEPTACLES,SENSORS, EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND EXIT SIGNS AHEAD OF ANY SWITCHES, EMERGENCY LIGHTINGAND EXIT SIGNS SHALL BE FED FROM THE SAME BRANCH CIRCUIT AS THAT SERVING THE NORMALLIGHTING IN THE AREA. BATTERIES MUST BE POWERED AT ALL TIMES. COMPLY WITH NEC ARTICLE700-12(F) AND 700-16. EGRESS DOOR/S EXTERIOR EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND REMOTE HEADS SHALL BECONNECTED TO THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING CIRCUIT TO OPERATE UPON FAILURE OF THE EXTERIORLIGHTING.

11. DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC. PRIOR TO BIDDING VERIFY CONDITIONS, LOCATIONS ANDREQUIREMENTS IN THE FIELD TO ENSURE A COMPLETE AND PROPERLY OPERATIONAL SYSTEM.EXAMINE ALL CONTRACT DWGS, FOR REQUIREMENTS AFFECTING WORK OF THE ELECTRICAL TRADE.

12. QUESTIONS REGARDING THESE DRAWING SHALL BE ADDRESSED TO THE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO THEAWARDING OF THE CONTRACT. OTHERWISE THE ARCHITECT'S INTERPRETATION OF THE MEANINGAND INTENT OF THE DRAWINGS SHALL BE FINAL.

13. COORDINATE LOCATIONS AND MOUNTING HEIGHTS OF THE OUTLET BOXES, JUNCTION BOXES, ANDEQUIPMENT DISCONNECTION TO AGREE WITH REQUIRED LOCATIONS OF FURNISHINGS OFEQUIPMENT SERVED. GENERALLY, RECEPTACLES SHALL BE MOUNTED 18" ABOVE FINISHED FLOORAND LIGHT SWITCHES AT 48" ABOVE FINISHED FLOOR UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. ALLMEASUREMENTS SHALL BE TAKEN FROM THE TOP OF THE J-BOX OR DEVICE.

14. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SUBMITTALS TO THE ENGINEER ON ALL MAJORELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT (C/T CABINETS, PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, CONTACTORS, LUMINAIRE, ETC.)FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO PURCHASING.

15. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS CONTRACTOR TO RECEIVE AND REVIEW SUBMITTALS FOR ALLELECTRIFIED EQUIPMENT TO BE INSTALLED ON THIS PROJECT. NO EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS ARETO BE PURCHASED OR INSTALLED PRIOR TO ENSURING THAT BRANCH CIRCUITS ARE APPROPRIATEFOR THE EQUIPMENT BEING FED. NO ADDITIONAL COSTS WILL BE APPROVED IF THIS PROCEDURE ISNOT FOLLOWED. CONTACT THE ENGINEER TO RESOLVE ANY CONFLICTS THAT MAY ARISE.
