Stay healthy and passExams are a busy and stressful time of year and it’s easy to let study take over… well, everything. Sometimes we just need a little reminder to look after ourselves as well as our grades.
So here are five of our favourite tips to help you feel good and pass your exams.
Plan to ease stressPlanning your study schedule and making sure you try and revise a little every day will take away some of the stress associated with studying for exams.
Think positiveHaving negative thoughts about your abilities and focusing on what you don’t know is stressful. Think positively and be confident in yourself before going into an exam.
Fuel your brainChoose fresh foods that boost your energy and concentration levels such as wholegrains, nuts, fish, berries and yoghurt. Try to steer clear of a quick sugary fix (although it’s ok to indulge with a little bit of chocolate every now and then).
Take a breakWhether it’s making a cuppa, chatting with friends or family or going for a run, it’s important to schedule regular breaks away from your study. That way you feel more refreshed when you sit back down with your books.
Did you know? Blueberries contain a high level of
antioxidants; they boost brain power by improving memory and potentially
preventing age-related memory loss such as Alzheimer’s.
So eat up! Sprinkle some blueberries on your morning
cereal or porridge.
