Duty Officer Program
• The “On-Call Program is being renamed the “Duty Officer Program.”
• We have begun a build on a Duty Officer Command Vehicle.
• The purpose for the vehicle is to act as an extension of the MHOAC program. Once complete it will be equipped and outfitted to act as a mobile command post.
• ECC will handle all radio traffic and dispatch the Duty Officer when appropriate.

Article 2.7. California Youth Football Act
• (h) A minimum of one state-licensed emergency medical technician, paramedic, or higher-level licensed medical professional shall be present during all preseason, regular season, and postseason games. The emergency medical technician, paramedic, or higher-level licensed medical professional shall have the authority to evaluate and remove any youth tackle football participant from the game who exhibits an injury, including, but not necessarily limited to, symptoms of a concussion or other head injury.

WASTELAND WEEKEND OVERVIEW
• WASTELAND WEEKEND IS A POST APOCALYPTIC THEMED 5 DAY CAMPING EVENT THAT TAKES PLACE ANNUALLY IN THE MOJAVE DESERT NEAR CALIFORNIA CITY. EMS COORDINATORS ON SITE TO ENSURE MEDICAL PLAN EXECUTION AND LOCAL OVERSITE TO EVENT STAFF.
• ATTENDANCE IS ~ 5000 INCLUDING STAFF, ONSITE MEDICAL PROVIDES CARE FOR STAFF AND ATTENDEES BEGINNING THE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT DURING THE BUILD PHASE.
• HALL AMBULANCE PROVIDED STANDBY ALS COVERAGE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS.
• 5 TOTAL AMBULANCE TRANSPORTS FROM THE EVENT, APPROXIMATELY 200 TREATED BY THE ONSITE MEDICAL STAFF.

Exercises; 2019 – 2023 Changes
ASPR indicates that:
• All HCCs must designate a lead and/or co-lead hospital or healthcare organization
• All HCCs should fund at least 1.0 FTEs to support the following role requirements: Clinical Advisor
• Clinical Advisor to provide clinical guidance and coordination pertaining to acute medical surge readiness and response for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Emergency (CBRNE) and trauma, burn, and pediatric emergencies. Individual must be:
• From the lead or co-lead hospital or health organization
• Clinically active
• HCC Readiness and Response Coordinator to oversee planning, exercising,
operational readiness, financial sustainability, and evaluation of the HCC.

Kern Medical Reserve Corps
• The SoCal MRC Alliance has been meeting for three
years.
• Meetings have been in Long Beach, San Diego, and
Los Angeles
• Kern County will be hosting this meeting for the first
time on October 4, 2019 at public health.
