The Deutsche Post AG needed to modernize and extend the current storage capacity which was based on a SAN Volume Controller SVC. BVQ has been used with the SVC environment to find the best
fitting storage tier mix.
DPAG chose a Storwize V7000 solution with 137TB* 900GB Disks, 1.4TB SSD for Easy Tier and 437TB* 3TB Disks.

The large number of 3TB disks reduced the purchase costs of the new Storwize system dramatically.
