• Adopt-a-Park: Adopt a park as part of annual community efforts to help improve environmental sustainability within your community.
• Park Ambassador Program: Take an active role in monitoring a chosen park or organizing a clean-up event to create a more beautiful environment.
• Bench/Tree Dedication: Plant a tree or place a bench inside a neighbourhood park to commemorate a special someone or occasion.
• Dazzle Me! Program: Beautify your neighbourhood by planning, planting and maintaining a floral display.

the City’s environmental sustainability staff work with local community organizations to educate on green practices and initiatives. Opportunities include:
• An annual Vaughan 20-Minute Makeover, an organization-based community clean-up event

Film shorts submitted by winning organizations will be forwarded for submission to the annual York Region Multimedia Film Festival for review as part of the category submissions.

Submissions are welcome in a variety of formats such as: • Artwork Collaborative using recycled materials and new ways to
reuse a variety of materials to create art.
• Short Documentary Video (maximum 5 minutes) incorporating visuals and information of initiatives throughout the year and short drama interpretations, etc.
• Photo Collage accompanied by written statement with description.
• PowerPoint Presentation to include brief descriptions, photos, etc. of organizational initiatives.
