GOOD NEWS!

This week while at work I was quickened by the Holy Spirit to share a word on two different occasions, first with an individual that is religious, second opportu-

nity I could sense the heaviness that someone was carrying due to the loss of one of their loved ones. Both were opportunities that I could not help myself but to speak out about God and his written word. Shortly I will get into a little detail

on how the conversations went, but first as I think about these encounters as well as others like when visiting at hospitals, jails, prisons, streets, homes, or

where ever I have had opportunities to share, I’m always compelled to reach out to my own family. You see I too like many others was destined to eternal damna-

tion, and I was not totally ignorant, but many times just ignored the goodness of God and his salvation through Christ, the worlds good news.

It is written in the Old Testament Holy Bible in the NIV version in Isaiah 43:13, “Yes,

and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can

reverse it?” This was the word from God him-self, Jehovah to Isaiah the prophet telling him I’m Israel’s only savior, and apart from

me their is no other God like me. God was telling Isaiah I will be with you no matter what you go through, if you pass through

waters, rivers, fire, or whatever it might be I will be with you. You see the Israelites had literally experienced passing through the

dangers of waters, rivers, deserts, and many other adventures that put their lives in

danger. Yet through it all he was with them manifesting his power and might, his mercy and goodness, making a way for them where

their seemed to be no way, yes this is our God in Jesus Christ good news.

It is written in the New Testament Holy

Bible in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. It is also written in Malachi 3:6, “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob,

are not destroyed.” What an awesome God! Think about this, when relationships, money, legislation, governments, or what ever the institution or resource changes or fails he

does not. He told Isaiah, tell Israel, “Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can

deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Watch this, our God is eter-

nal, almighty, when I act, he asked who can reverse my actions? Their is a hierarchy we

must all respect in order to keep certain order in all institutions or organizations, and yet all have the tendency to change or

fail, their is one, only one that does not fail or change, he is good news.

Well this is what I shared at work with the individuals a God we can count on, one con-versation went like this, I’m quoting myself,

“hey man I would like to extend an invita-tion to where I congregate, I can tell you

almost guarantee to you, you will not walk out the same.” I told him that because God has promised he is with us, the individuals

reply was, and I quote, “so you will walk out washed?” I said responded back, “yes”, why?

Please get this, “When I act,..” Now the other opportunity was helping someone that just needed to hear a word at a time that their

heart was heavy with a burden, I shared two scriptures, Matthew 11:29, and Philippians 4:7, I received an email simply saying and I quote, “thank you we both appreciate it..”

Family, friend, please get this, “..When I act, who can reverse it?” Tell your family and

friends he is good news.

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria How often do you stop and think about what you are thinking about? So often,

we live with our minds on autopilot, tak-ing in whatever thoughts come our way. But, if we are going to rise up higher the way God intends, we have to determine to

make sure our thoughts line up with God’s thoughts.

Seven times in scripture God asks, “What do you see?” God is interested in our vi-

sion. Before your dream comes to pass, you have to see yourself accomplishing that dream. You’ve got to get a picture of it. Before you lose the weight, before you break the addiction, you have to see it

happening in your imagination.

Today, instead of thinking about your problems, think about God’s promises. Get a vision for what He has in store for your future. Imagine yourself living in victory. Imagine yourself healed. Imagine yourself

walking in abundance. Imagine yourself blessing other people. Just imagine what God has in store for you because nothing

is impossible with Him!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father, today I set my heart and mind on You. Give me Your vision for my future.

Help me to see myself the way You see me so that I can imagine and live in the bless-

Find a place that inspires you, a place where you can meditate on His Word and let your faith be elevated. Stay in a good, Bible-based church where people are going to build you up and not tear you down; a place where people are going to challenge you to rise higher and become all that God

has created you to be.

I know people who get home from work ev-ery night and watch the same depressing TV shows week after week. Don’t let that be you! If you’re going to enlarge your vision, you’ve got to get out of a limited environ-ment. Put yourself in an atmosphere of vic-tory and success and move forward in the

good things God has prepared for you!

I have friends who run an orphanage in a very poor nation. Every Friday they go down to the slums and take the children to the beach. They call it “Dream Day.” As the children play in the sand and water, as they look at the beautiful

ocean and watch the magnificent sunsets, they talk to them about how God knew them before they were formed in their mother’s womb, how they have seeds of greatness on the inside. They

speak vision into them. Now, they’re finding that these children from the slums are over-coming incredible odds, getting scholarships

to colleges, breaking out of poverty, becoming leaders in the community.

Scripture tells us that when people don’t have a revelation of God’s love and His Word, ulti-

mately, they perish. It doesn’t say where there is no money, where there is no opportunity, where

there is no talent people perish. What limits us is a lack of vision and understanding about

God’s plan for our lives.

Today, I encourage you to let God’s Word shape your vision of the future. Let today be your dream day. Set aside the cares of the world.

Set aside distractions and worries and look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith!

Whose Report Will You Believe?

Every day we get “reports” from the news, our experiences, our friends and family, and many

other sources. We also get reports from the Word of God, which oftentimes, contradicts what oth-ers are saying. That’s when we have a choice: do

we believe what we hear in the natural, or do we believe the report of the Lord?

Friend, we serve a supernatural God! Just because we don’t see a way doesn’t mean that He doesn’t

have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to a new level. He has explosive blessings that can blast you out of debt and into abundance. “Well, I don’t think I’ll

ever get well. You should see what the medical report says about me.” No, that may be true ac-

cording to medical science, but we have another report and it says, “You will live and not die. God is restoring health unto you.” With men it may be impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Choose today to believe the report of the Lord. Stand strong no matter what is going on around

you knowing that He is leading you into victory in every area of your life!
