KATIPUNAN AFTER THE DEATH OF
RIZAL
THE KATIPUNAN IN CAVITE
After Rizal’s death, the Katipunan in Cavite won in
most of their battles, and they paid it in return to
Emilio Aguinaldo.
But, even they are successful in leading their
battles, the Katipunan in Cavite was divided into
groups, the two MAJOR factions are the Magdalo
(to come), headed by Baldomero Aguinaldo, the
cousin of Emilio Aguinaldo and the Magdiwang (to
celebrate) which was led by Mariano Alvarez,
Bonifacio’s uncle-in-law.

THE KATIPUNAN IN CAVITE
The Katipunan was divided because they were
formed one by one and had political views different
from each other.
To solve the differences between Magdalo and
Magdiwang, Bonifacio was called to settle the
conflict. He agreed to go together with his wife,
Gregoria de Jesus, and his brothers, Ciriaco and
Procopio.
