Located on two acres of wooded land, the design proposes an emergent shipping contaner community. The proposal consists of a communal design/construction facility and a residential terrace. Inspired by the site, this project embraces the richness born of systems. Each container home will be unique, yet they will come together sytematically.

02 | Tanzakademie: Dance as catharsis, dance as gathering | Spring 2015 | Professor Irene Keil
A 40,000 sf dance academy in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, this project explores an architecture which highlights dance as catharsis and dance as gathering. It is comprised of a hard, protective, outer concrete shell which confronts the street and a delicate, light filled, timber frame tower which sits within. The comprehensive project includes the intergration of structural sytem, mechanical system, and code compliant circulation.

03 | Sankofa Mobile Market: engage. design. build. transform. | Fall 2015 | Professor Doug Harmon
1 community partner. 14 students. 15 weeks. 40 square feet. Tasked with converting a Toyota pick up truck into a mobile produce market, this studio was about communicating eff ectively with a client, collaborating as a studio, and working though design problems via sketch, full scale mock ups, and CAD models / visualization. The result is a product that streamlines operations, speaks to the clients brand pillars, and creates a welcoming environment through an elegant and wholistic tranformation.
