When you were a teen, why did you choose to leave UK for India?I never chose to do anything. I just followed my heart, and my love at the time, was in India so I followed him.

Tell us something incredible that did happen to you over there? You can hear one story in my song “Red Lights”. We escaped the police in a rickshaw and had to cov-er our tattoos to avoid being caught. We were a real life “Bonnie and Clyde!”!

What do you love the most about your city?I don’t have a city- I am a woman of the world.. There is something magical about every city... And in London, I LOVE the London boys accent (even though I’m English myself lol)

Does Indian music touch more and more people in your country. I mean out of the indian commu-nity? What is your opinion about that? The most beautiful thing about India is they treat life like a blessing and westerners treat it like a chore. I learned a lot from the Indian culture!

Who is the team behind your movement?I finally have the perfect manager get name is Jami Stigliano.. It takes a chick with a big pair of balls to deal with me and she had that (on her chest)!

“301 To Paradise”? Why this title?301 has been a very significant number for me, ho-tels, flights, trains... I even have a necklace with the number so I made this mixtape as an intro to the real album as part of the journey to what I see as para-dise so that title was perfect!

What are your coming projects for 2014?Making Warner Brother put my bloody album out... Headlining world gay pride and getting into act-ing! I also just started my own yoga company.

Do you have a special message for our readers all over the globe?FREEDOM!

What is your definition of Beauty? Someone who has a good heart is beautiful.

How long have you been in the modeling indus-try? I have started two years ago and have come such a long way in such a short period of time.

At what point in life did you know you wanted to be a model? I had to hit rock bottom before I had the attitude I needed to have for this industry. I had the attitude that I had nothing left to lose and that made my decision for me. The worst someone could say to me is no.

What makes you unique and different from oth-er models? I think what makes me unique is I am a chameleon and I have the ability to portray whatever I want to and most women can’t do that. They are either editorial all the time or pin up or alternative. I try to give everyone something new and my name is unique because it is legally the name I was born with, not some name I made up.

How is the modeling industry in your area? Do you feel their are a lot of opportunities in your area? Yes and no, I will explain. The modeling industry where I live is great because anyone can be anything they want to be. You can act or model or dance or sing and do the things you always dreamed of do-ing, but the issue where I live is so many people who want to be these things, but no one is making money to claim the title because when you have a job, you make money. You want to be a model so you go to LA, New York, Paris, and Japan even, but not Las Vegas. You have to travel out of here to be a quote “real model.”

Is modeling your full job? yes it is.

For you, what do you think are the most impor-tant characteristics to succeed in the industry? Drive and Determination and a humble attitude.

Who would you say is the person who inspired you? I have a friend who is a model and she was lightyears ahead of me at the time and I was look-ing at her port because I have always loved fashion and Vogue and Magazines. She was beautiful and I felt so down on myself and my dad told me you are prettier than her. Why don’t you try to model and I remember laughing at the idea, like me? LOL No never and look at me now haha.

Do you plan on getting into singing, acting, dancing? Yes I have done all. I did a commercial and music video. I have been a dance instructor until the modeling stuff took over and danced my whole life in ballet and tap and hip hop and jazz les-sons. I was in music theater and majored in theater when I was in school.

For our readers, where do you come from? Sulphur, LA (S-TOWN).

The thing you love the most about your city? Everyone knows Everyone!

The thing you hate? Everyone knows Every-one’s personal business, take the good with the bad right?

How did you get into music when you were younger? First moment i realized i loved music, and that music soothed my troubles in a way i can never explain, was in music class when i was in 4th grade. I’ll never forget my music instruc-tor Mrs.White, such a sweet inspiring woman. I used to love to play the recorder in class, and in middle school that turned into Clarinet, Oboe, & Honor Band. I was involved in Honor Choir and Church choir in elementary school as well. In 5th grade I made the National Honor Choir and was invited to DC but my family couldn’t afford it so i couldn’t go. At such a young age, i was disap-pointed but it taught me that nothing is given, and the grind is REAL out here. Musically, like anything, i find that “talent” is such a loose term. Even in art, it takes major dedication and drive to succeed like any career or passion. Talent alone is NOT enough anymore. It has been a learning process thus far and i look forward to continuing to live for my passions.

Singer, model, choregrapher... Sounds like you are a very busy woman. Surprisingly enough, it isn’t the actual work that makes it difficult. In today’s economy, having one job or one grind is simply not enough. I find it easier to stay busy and keep my mind on positivity! It’s hard to re-main an original in this world with so many influ-ences telling you to blend in, but it sure is one heck of an adventure to try it :)

How can you define your musical background? Well-rounded for sure! Various choirs, Orchestra style bands, marching band, Freestylin with the crew in the Chuck, turning closet poems into lyr-ics, to now recording my own original music and so much more to look forward to! #Schwing

So far, what are your 3 biggest Highlights? Being featured on 93.3 FLZ’s Model & Artist Spotlight segments was amazing! DEC-2013. 2nd place at Coast 2 Coast Live New Orleans 6/11/2014. Having brunch with one of “The Grateful Dead”! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

Personally, i got a big krush on your song “Did Me Wrong”. Can you tell us the story of that single? Where did you find the inspiration? Ok, you asked for it. Haha. “Did Me Wrong” is inspired by a falsified relationship i went through. Built on lies and promises that eventually were broken. What’s the deal with everyone having a side bish nowadays? Is that too serious of a ques-tion? Or am i not allowed to ask a question back? Haha. If you aren’t happy with that person, don’t waste their time, you don’t need 2 or 3 or “8” side chicks to fill a void if you have found the right “ONE”. Stop cuffin’ the wrong one to avoid loneliness. I think the masses are now aware that there are plenty of people nowadays that are DTF so why lie and act like someone is your MAIN or ONLY when they aren’t ? #MESSAGE

“Galavanting wildly in random places”... That’s what we can read on your twitter bio. What does it reveal about your personality? About your philosophy of life? No matter where I am, who i’m with, or what I’m doing, i try to make the best out of it. How good of a time you have or what you get out of a situation is up to you. I’m also known to break out wild dance moves in random public areas…

What can we expect from you during this summer 2014? What are your projects?Mixtape: Indie Hits 15 [Hosted by DJ Cell-block] #30- “We Keep On” Dropped on 6-20-2014. Mixtape: Summer Time TURNUP [Host-ed by Lil JON. DJ Young CEE]. Showcase at Cutting Edge CE Conference August 2014. Remix: “Pardon My Delay” & Video . Did Me Wrong” Video

Define your upcoming mixtape in three words...Be the change

What is the lead single? How did you choose it? “Pardon My Delay” - this track represents the emotional distance found in many relation-ships today, and how we play games and look for the wrong traits in our significant others. It explains my feelings on relationships and not knowing whether the mistakes made in the past truly reflect that persons intentions, or if mis-takes just happen? If knowing everything about someone even exists anymore? Pardon My De-lay explains searching for the truth and finding the answers over time. Don’t rush life, and don’t rush your heart.

Any visuals planned in order to promote that tape?“Pardon My Delay” (REMIX) - VIDEO

What is your opinion about the current state of the music industry? It is a wreck!!!! UNITY IS KEY. I honestly think it is simple. It became more about the money and return on investment than the mu-sic. The companies we have trusted for years to bring us great content and talent have now begun to capitalize off of struggling artists. I would like to see innovation and new ideas that help to unite and bring us together to make the world better and to still have meaningful mes-sages to change the world for the best! I can’t imagine losing my passion and love for music. It is sad to make everything mentioned in a song about being able to capitalize off of it and still be able to call it art with a straight face. Real emotion and passion have no price tag attached

With all the new technologies, apps, social networks... Are you optimistic?Very optimistic! Constantly evolving, Keeping up is the only option! Privacy though, that’s out the window..

How do you imagine Kasha Leo ten years from now?I would hate to truly say.. just because i don’t want to JINX myself. Haha. I hope to be an es-tablished songwriter, that still lives and loves music with every inch of herself. In 10 years, i also hope to see my clothing line booming and thriving! Lastly, but certainly not least, i hope to be OVERLY happy and chasing my dreams :)

Tell us the kraziest story you ever had in your life...Oh lawdddd. OK... When i was 15, i was at a 4H event in Lake Charles, LA. We were leaving pulling a Pig trailer after the show and weren’t paying attention to the road (kids… be safe) as we were about to rear end this SUV my friend says “Oh shit, hold my beer.” We wrecked, i busted the windshield with my forehead. We totaled the truck. SMH. Later that night, i went four wheeler riding and we totaled the 4 wheeler also. CAN’T KEEP ME DOWN. haha. CRAZY LOUISIANA GIRL. #CajunAsian

“My Dreams? Being a songwriter.. sitting in the dark in a smokey VIP section with a big name artist singing my song on stage, was always my dream… (Adele, cough, mmhmm, cough). Music soothes my soul. My heart doesn’t feel broken. The past doesn’t hurt. The future doesn’t scare me. & it makes the present moment bumpin’. I LIVE TO LOVE MUSIC!”

The favorite song to work out to...I love to work out to Dawn Richard’s song titled Bombs because it completely gets me up and go-ing everytime I play it. It’s one of those ones that I keep on repeat.

Favorite song to relax...I always relax to my girl Brandy’s song Sweet Nothings it just has some of the sweetest har-monies I’ve heard in a long while. You can’t go wrong with Brandy.

Favorite song for a romantic date...I don’t mean to be cheesy but my song I Need Your Love. It is one of those songs that has a sweet melody and it always sets the mood for me.

Favorite song to have to sex to...I love R Kelly’s song It seems like you’re Ready because its a classic baby maker. R Kelly’s mu-sic always take you to that sensual place when you’re with that special someone.

Top 3 favorite songs for this summer...My top 3 favorites for this summer has to be Usher’s Good Kisser, Danity Kane’s Lemonade, and Iggy Izalea’s Fancy. I think all of those songs are definitely going to blaze up the summer even more this year!

Your 3 favorite current r&b singers...I have quite a few but my favorite 3 has to be Brandy, Jhene Aiko, and Miguel. I love all of their styles and how they stay true to real music. They are still maintaining a sense of relevancy, yet keeping that old school passion.

Your 3 favorite models...My 3 favorite models are Tara Banks, Naomi Campbell, and Heidi Klum. I love all of these la-dies not only because they’re insanely gorgeous, but because they’re trendsetters. They were’nt just pretty faces, they branded themselves.

What’s your projects? I am currently working on my debut full length album titled Vocal Stimulation. I have finally narrowed the content down and I am hard at work writing and recording as we speak. I will be releasing my first single the end of summer and shooting the video over in the UK with Vid-eoInk. They are one of the most creative produc-tion companies I’ve come across in a while. I will also be shooting a movie this coming fall with director Lewis Farinella in Florida. I just did a scortching collab with my brother from another mother Dream Kayris that will totally blaze the summer titled Give Me Your Love.

Your favorite to describe your music? My favorite way to describe my music is using it as a metophor and it would be described as a pot of Gumbo. I feel I infuse all types of elements and genres to give you a flavor thats so intising that you’d surely come back for a several serv-ings.

“JoBee is a man that’s spritually grounded, loving, strong, creative, Open-minded and driven. I am a man that loves love and everything that it intels. Music is my life’s force and I use my gift to spread love and healing

througout the world.”

Do you regard yourself as a DJ or a creator?I consider myself both a Dj and a creator. Every night and every day, I create something new from doing radio, mixtapes, clubs and engineering. Those tasks bring my creative side out as Dj and a producer. My job is to create the sound for the night life. As a Dj, it’s important to master all ar-eas. That’s Key to success.

Why is DJ DRAMA your model?I grew up listening to Dj Drama. He plays an im-portant role when you mention my brand and my name. I watched how he followed his dreams and was still able to obtain his college degree. He’s a role model to kids and many other Djs. Watching someone become successful with their gift and help others in the process, who share the same goals and believes is a blessing. The key to this business is to help others. When you are put in a good position, help someone that’s on the rise. Dj Drama is a perfect example of helping.

Your name “NEW ERA”… Does it mean you are about to bring something totally new in the Industry? My name NEW ERA came from the New Era hats. I wear a lot of hats when I Dj. The 1st name I came up with was Dj Fitted Cap Low. Many people said the name was wack!! Lol. Dj Holi-day really gave me my name. When I was in col-lege, Holiday came to Huntsville, Al, to promote and do a lot of parties. Every time he came, I walked up to him with a tone of cds and I would had a (New Era) hat on my head. The third time Holiday came, I walked up to him. He said, ‘man how many hats do you own? Every time I see you, it’s a new hat. Your name should be DJ NEW ERA.’

What has been your biggest buzz so far?My biggest buzz came after college. I hosted a mixtape for an artist named Spank Lee out of Mobile, AL. That one mixtape lead to 9 more

Mobile Artist working with me and my brand. I also was booked several times in the area to host and Dj parties. I won Mixtape Dj Of The Year for the 2013 Real talk Magazine and I also was Nom-inated Slept of Dj for 2014 SEA. Working with Spank Lee helped my brand and helped my name. Shouts out to Mobile, AL. They show mad love. Keep your ears tuned to the streets we got more work coming!

When you reflect on your life so far what’s the best thing you’ve done as a man?The best thing I’ve done as man is being a father to my son. He looks up to me and admires the fact I’m a hard worker. I’m a father before any of this. I also am a role model to many kids at his school. They ask question about my career and I give them good advice. Giving back is what God wants me to do and I spread his word through my music.

“10 Years from now I hope to have my own radio show and also would love to have most of my bookings com-ing from overseas!”

The up and coming “rugged pop” artist Alexa Ferr was born in 1995 and raised in Toronto, Canada. At just the age of 19, she has already experienced many opportunities in the busi-ness including participating in local singing and dance compe-titions, as well as recorded demos in both her hometown and Los Angeles, CA. As a triple threat, Alexa often finds herself expressing her love for music by writing songs and recording. Also she enjoys her other passions, in which she has danced in competitive for 8 years with a background of jazz, tap, bal-let, hiphop and contemporary, as well takes acting classes and auditions in both Canada and Los Angeles. Alexa Ferr attended St. Elizabeth CHS for the Performing Arts and participated in many of the school’s talent shows. Back in January 2009, Alexa participated in the I.M.T.A Talent Con-vention Show in L.A for singing and acting, which lead her to a few call backs from Music Producers from L.A. and New York. With the support of her parents they flew back to L.A a few months later to record her first demo album. Later on, that year she was signed for a single deal with Dauman Music/Universal Music Group and recorded her single called “Fell” which featured Matthew “Mdot” Finley, one of Disney’s Camp Rock 2 stars alongside the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. She also had the opportunity to be an extra in this movie that was filmed in Canada. Alexa Ferr also had the amazing opportunity to perform her single “Fell” in venues such as The Viper Room in West Hol-lywood, the Tiki Bar in New Port Beach, CA, etc. Her biggest dream is to express to the world her love for music, and hopes to one day be as successful as her biggest influences, which in-clude some of the world’s biggest stars, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Be-yonce, Lady Gaga, etc. Alexa Ferr still continues to live out her passion for singing, and writing songs. She recorded her first EP with songwriting and production duo, The Invaders. Col-lectively they have worked in the studio over late summer of 2012 and early 2013, recording, writing and producing songs. Alexa Ferr released her first EP entitled “Lipstick on the Glass” in September 2013 and also released her debut music video for her single that was shot by world renown celebrity photographer and director, Walid Azami! Alexa performed in quite a few venues in Los Angeles over the last few months of 2013 and is now preparing to head back to the studio to record with The Invaders along with other producers for her 2nd EP that will be released later on in 2014! Stay tuned for updates on upcoming shows, interviews, contests, etc!!

are really getting into it these days! We love see-ing this global impact we have in a pong uni-verse.

What do you answer to those people who think you encourage the new generations to drink? I don’t – I encourage people to be so-cial and play a fun game with each other, I don’t advocate being stupid, or abusive. I play with water in my cups and chill with a beverage of choice in hand and sip accordingly. You want to play with water or juice or nothing play the game and enjoy it – but don’t blame us if you think this was what sparked that generations be-havioral issues.

Is the “spring break time” your best market?Heck NO – spring breakers are cheap! They have spent all there hard earned parents money on buying tickets to destinations and any cash they have left is going to filling the cooler. Do we think they should bring a PORTOPONG – um – YEAH! Tropical places, pools, oceans, need a lead in to make new friends – how couldn’t PORTOPONG not help them.

As an innovator, what is your next challenge? Our biggest challenge is staying ahead of the rest and making sure people know the differ-ence between the quality and thought that went into making PORTOPONG compared to other products.

Can you describe your “Portopong” concept in three words? 100% PORTABLE – It just is, what other prod-uct can you take in a lake, to a concert, in the pool, or inside for a party. AMAZEBALLS – It just is an amazing product – ‘nough said. FUN - simply put, that’s what PORTOPONG was and is about, is having fun with friends.

How did the fans welcome that innovating product? What do you think? We invented the world’s first inflatable beer pong table! They loved us for it! Granted we had a few haters that would yell at us “that was my idea”, but most of them just kept smacking their foreheads saying “why didn’t I think of that”.

The Beerpong is so popular in North Ameri-ca... How can you explain that?We are sports addicted and more competitive than most others, plus I think there is a splash of ADD in us all, we like to keep entertained and moving all the time compared to some of our laid back counterparts around the world.

Is there a demand for your product in Eu-rope? And other continents?YES – Germany, Australia, UK, and Denmark love PORTOPONG and a big shout out to our neighbors up north in Canada. The Canadians

entertainment news sites on the web. And then it just hit me as I realized that all these sites basi-cally brought the same news, but with a local flavor. Still, you had to go to so many different sources, never really sure that you find what you were looking for. So the question was simple: why not create a “one-stop shopping solution”? People need to start finding and stop searching what they want to read. On top of all, I got so frustrated with the fact that all this wide-spread content was so hard to read on a smartphone. I got sick of all the scrolling, zooming and ac-cidentally hitting of wrong buttons. It was like squeezing an elephant through a keyhole. That is why we re-engineerd the content production process. And last but not least, we realized that we all are the “eye on the street” - you, your readers, we all are. That brought us to the con-cept of “citizen journalism”.

Is the new generation ready for your app?I truly believe the new generation is ready for our app and the idea and concept behind it. I also truly believe and hope that it will be a stepping stone in this monumental change we currently experience in media.

@Tino20144

@Portopong

How are you Tino? It sounds like you are a very busy entrepreneur! What are your cur-rent projects?Thank you for giving me the chance to talk about EXLEY. Currently, my team and I are working on our new technology platform that we believe will revolutionize the way we cre-ate and consume digital content. It will enable anyone to easily create and share content in a “mobile-native” format and at the same time al-low you to easily find and connect with content that you love, cutting also facts from fluff.

Can you describe your EXLEY concept in three words? Unique: We believe that there simply is no other concept out there like ours. Disruptive: EXLEY is designed to empower people to become me-dia, it’s from the people for the people. OverduePeople don’t believe in mainstream media any-more like they used to. A recent study showed that 77% of Americans said they DISTRUST the mainstream news institutions in the United States.

How did you find this idea? This was a process. A few years ago, a friend of mine and I were looking at a few gossip and

Page 23: Kasha Leo Mr Dreamz Fresh Edition Summer 2014

23

The first time you eat an Offenbacher fudge? My mother made the Original Recipe every Christmas. I was pretty young the first time I can remember enjoying it, but looked forward to it each year after that! I remember feeling safe, warm and loved!

The first time you knew you would work in that field? #FudgeIndustryI started trying to make my mother’s fudge in 2009. I knew, when my friends tasted it and loved it, that it was meant to be.

The first time a celebrity talked about your fudges? It was last year at the MTV Movie Awards Style Lounge at the SLS Hotel in Bev-erly Hills. Besides gifting over 200 boxes of my fudge, celebrities were also able to sample on the spot; thus, creating instant feedback. The celebrities were great. They used Twitter, Fa-cebook, emails and text about how much they loved my fudge!

The first time a major TV Channel talked about your products?Actually Offenbacher Gourmet Fudge was fea-tured on QVC last fall.

What are your favorite fudges? Honestly, I grew up being a fudge snob. I never ever found another type of fudge that could compare to my mother’s fudge. So her fudge was the one and only, the Original Recipe which is Milk Chocolate with English Walnuts! The perfect fudge for a romantic date? After my mother passed away and I started making her fudge, I created some new flavors. So I would say my Dark Chocolate Roasted Ha-zelnut Raspberry would be the perfect romantic flavor, wouldn’t you? Pair it with a nice glass of wine and do I need to say any more? The perfect fudge for the Valentine’s day? Let’s go with my Dark Chocolate Black Walnut Champagne flavor for this special holiday. Add a glass of bubbly and you’ve got a date! The perfect fudge for kids? My mother’s Original Recipe is perfect for kids. It was my favorite childhood memory. This rec-ipe and tradition was started in 1938 when my mother got married, and was carried on every Christmas since then, over 75 years.

For our readers, where do you come from? Where were you born?I come from the greatest and most underrated city on the planet in my opinion, Toronto. I was born and raised on the west side of the city, where I spent at least 90% of my youth.

How is the local Hip Hop scene in your area? The scene is quite big if you know where to look, it gets as small as just passing bars back and forth at lunch tables to the very own King of the Dot, which is immensely respected eve-rywhere. so you can say Toronto has a good mix when it comes to the hip hop scene.

The thing you love the most about your city? The thing I love most is not knowing all of it. I know that there are bigger cities in the world but Toronto is still large in my eyes, well, enough to say that I don’t know all of it com-pletely. Now and then I still hear about or come across spots or even streets I’ve never heard of before.

The thing you hate?Stress. that has to be the thing I hate the most. it’s never good for you, and it ruins people. I’d rather live stress free and devote my time to better things then to surround myself with that kind of negativity, which is never a good thing.

Let’s talk about the message behind your music. Obviously, you are very involved in

Bully Prevention. Personally, did you face bullying at school? In my younger youth, I did and it was heavily too. It was something I had to take as a kid, something I couldn’t escape personally. with that said, it carried on till near the ends of my elementary school years, that’s when everyone decided that I wasn’t a fun target anymore.

What is your message for all those victims who arent able to break the silence?Patience, and strength are both virtues. Bully-ing now-a-days is short lived, and the longer you go without letting it break you, the easier it becomes to break through from it. Pain is tem-porary, but achievement is forever.

What are your upcoming projects for the summer 2014?My EP that will come out later in the year titled “Wall of Words”, definitely something every-one should be prepared for. That does not go without mentioning all of the other projects that are on the list!

What are your dreams? Simple, My dream is to become the pinnacle of music. I look up to all of these Hip Hop heavy weights and know that I want to be better then my creators. essentially meaning that I want to take everything that has been done, and push the limits further.
