Online facility is available for submission of abstract of the research papers. Please visit college web site http://www.cofm.edu.in and download the template, fill it and submit online. The recipient will receive an auto generated mail acknowledgement for having submitted the abstract. The last date for the submission of abstract is 12th April 2019. The acceptance of paper for oral/ poster presentation shall be intimated within 15th April 2019.

The acceptable size of the poster for presentation is 92 cm (height) x 76 cm (width) in portrait format. Materials to display poster will be available at the poster presentation venue. The text should be readable by visitors, standing 1.5 m away from the poster. Each poster shall be designated a number and the place of display. The details will be made available at the registration counter. The posters should be ready for display much before the Inaugural function of the symposium.

Two awards for Best Poster Presentation (no age limit) and two Young Scientist Awards (below the age of 30 years with valid age proof) for best oral presentation have been instituted to encourage the young fisheries professionals. The authors should register and enroll themselves at the registration desk on the first day of symposium well before the start of

A special “Farmers Convention” has been planned on the afternoon session of 30th April 2019 before the plenary and valedictory function to enable fish farmers from different parts of the country to share their farming expertise/ experiences/ problems to explore and reorient research to find solutions to the burning problems.

Last date for registration: 20th April 2019 at Rs. 2500/-, Spot Registration: Rs. 3000/- (Including conference kit, lunch, tea etc) and Foreign Delegates USD 100. Students are allowed 50% concession without conference kit on production of valid proof of Student Identity issued by the respective Institutes.

Pre-registration to the symposium can be made by sending the requisite registration fee via cheque/ direct bank remittances. Cheques may be drawn in favour of "Golden Jubilee of College of Fisheries" payable at Mangalore. The College of Fisheries, Mangalore was established in the year 1969 as the 1st Fisheries College in India and 2nd in South East Asia and successfully completed 50 years of service in the field of higher education, research and extension education in Fisheries Sciences. The Mandate of the College is to Plan, Undertake, Aid, Promote and Co-ordinate Higher Education, Research and Extension Education in Fisheries Science; to produce technically competent manpower to manage fisheries sector. The Mission is to commit itself continuously to improve the quality of professional fisheries higher education at global perspective; competence of its faculty to meet the changing needs of fisheries education, research and extension services. The college shall ensure state of the art technologies for undertaking fundamental and applied research. Today there are 30 Fisheries Colleges in the country and all have adopted the model curriculum of Mangalore Fisheries College. About 1440 BFSc, 709 MFSc and 145 Ph.Ds have been graduated from this institution.
