Promoting Personal GrowthIn order to be successful in reaching a goal, it is important for each individual and their supports to be involved and engaged in the process. Kaleidoscope takes a holistic and person-centered approach when creating goals. We incorporate recreation, socialization, community involvement, activities of daily living and vocational skills into our consumer’s lives as a way to offer enrichment. In addition, we tie in each person’s interests, likes and dislikes in order to have a plan unique to each individual. Kaleidoscope is dedicated to helping individuals overcome obstacles, accomplish their goals and gain independence.

Our ServicesIn Home Therapy (IHT) is a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a Masters level clinician, a paraprofessional BA level clinician, the identified youth (under the age of 21) and family for the purpose of treating the youth’s behavioral health needs. This includes improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth to promote his/her healthy functioning within the family.

Interventions are designed to enhance and improve the family’s capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the home and community. The goal

is to prevent the need for the youth’s admission to an inpatient hospital, psychiatric residential treatment facility, or other treatment setting.

Therapeutic Mentor (TM) service is a support service that pairs a youth (under the age of 21) with an adult mentor for the purpose of building and enhancing the youth’s social, communication, and life skills. The Therapeutic Mentor works one-on-one with the youth to achieve goals that are guided by an outpatient therapist, in-home therapy provider, or an intensive care coordination team.

TM services include supporting, coaching, and training the youth in age-appropriate behaviors, interpersonal communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and relating appropriately to others in recreational and social activities. A Therapeutic Mentor promotes a youth’s success in navigating various social contexts, learning new skills, and making progress living within their community. Therapeutic Mentoring services can be delivered in the home, school, child care, and other community or social and recreational settings.
