16 Senior year is a year that all students look forward to. Soon they will be off to college or the work force to experience something new. However, one thing can quickly ruin the year for seniors and cause stress, senioritis. Whether it is less studying, not doing homework, or just not caring, most seniors deal with senioritis at least once. Here are some of the issues seniors had with senioritis: Magan Hinson Senioritis was a big part of my year; each paper I wrote was written a day before it was due, and each project was started less than a week before it was due. Justin Barnes I got lazy which caused me to get behind in my classes, and I had to work way too hard to catch up. Brooke Gibson I rarely did my homework or projects in a timely manner. Monster energy drinks became my best friend this year. April Ellis I don’t need to do work; I’m already in there [school]. Jordan Leathers To skip or not to skip. ShaKarra Thomas It was mainly I did not feel like going to class, but I did because I am looking forward to June 12, 2010. Chelsea Oakes Senioritis is no joke. By Christmas break I was already feeling it, but I still got my work done in the end. Bethany Evans Having trouble finishing work, falling asleep in class; it’s been so hard, so ready to get out. Sara Brookshire I had it bad and am paying for it. Jonathan Olivares Not wanting to go to classes. Sherrelle Alexander Senioritis for me, I had it extremely bad but still managed to keep my grades up and stay focused in class and kept my tardies and absences to a very low minimum. Emily Kincaid Online French class, I got so behind. Geoffrey Hauser Less studying. Derek Stubbs It’s very hard considering I only “need” one of the classes I am taking. Will McGarty I left a lot, I slept a lot, and I’ve put things off. Worst year academically, but it’s been fun. Jarius Penn Being tired and sleeping in class. April Carter Just not wanting to do busy work. Katie Holbrook It’s been hard but I have resisted it and stayed motivated and been in school everyday. Trenton Bottoms I despise homework and have a tendency to procrastinate. Shaina Davis Being late to first period everyday, procrastination on all my work, wearing sweats more often, just everything. Carmon Hemingway I had senioritis a couple times but I had to push past it so I won’t even have to think about senioritis next year.
