This week’s theme is:

“Respecting Our School”

Student Progress Reports to Parents

The teachers are very busy at the moment preparing the student progress reports to parents. The previous report format was identified in surveys as not meeting parent expectations so this term we have adopted a new format. Student progress and achievement is determined using multiple sources of data. Children are assessed throughout the year and their results help to form teacher judgements. The new report format is more thorough than the previous version and I hope the parents find the reports to be more user friendly. The reports will be distributed to families in the final week of term.

Junior School Council

On Monday I met with the Junior School Council to discuss some of the activities they would like to see happen at the school before the end of term two. One of their ideas was for the choir to perform for the residents at the Nathalia Hospital. We will liaise with Mrs King-Jones to work out a suitable date. On the final day of term we will be having an out of uniform day and the children will come dressed in a 70’s theme. There will be a disco during the day and children will be able to buy sausages in bread for lunch. This should be great fun and an ideal way to end the term. Thanks, Chris McCallum

TUCKER DAY

Friday, June 12th

Hot Dog in a roll - $2.50

Prima - $1.00

PLEASE NOTE THER WILL BE NO

LUNCH ORDERS AVAILABLE ON THIS

DAY.

On Friday last we played netball against Strathmerton. The

netballers all showed great teamwork skills and we had a great win

19 - 9.

Charli played very well in defence and Tully played a great game in

the goals.

It was great to see the people who didn’t play sitting on the

sidelines cheering us on.

Everyone played well and I hope we can do it again this week. Go

PURPS!!

Emily and Jakara received the awards

Cody.

On Friday, May 29th we went to the footy

ground and we played Strathmerton Primary

School. It was great to play them as we didn’t

think that they would have a team to play

against.

It was a really close game and at the end

Archie kicked the ball to Jaz on the timer. And

Jaz slammed it onto his boot and we won by 5

points. Jaz was really happy and so were we all.

Awards went to: Archie - BOG. Kaleb -

Encouragement Award and Daniel got a

sportsmanship Award because he volunteered

to play for Strathmerton.

Nathalia won by only 5points.

Cooper.
