HOLY COMMUNION We invite actively practicing Catholics who are properly disposed to come forward to receive Holy Communion. Our brothers and sisters of other faiths are invited to approach with arms crossed over the chest to receive a blessing. At Holy Family we receive the combination of the Body and Blood of Christ on the tongue. If you prefer to receive just the Body of Christ in your hand, please have your hands clearly out before you approach. COMMUNION ANTIPHON Gregorian chant, mode IV Inclina aurem tuam, accelera, ut eruas nos. Lend your ear and make haste to rescue us. Ps 31:3ab SECOND COLLECTION Peter’s Pence

Today is the Peter’s Pence Collection, a worldwide collection that supports the charitable works of Pope Francis. Funds from this collection help victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters. Take this opportunity to join with Pope Francis and be a witness of charity to our suffering brothers and sisters. Please be generous today. For more information, visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence. CLOSING HYMN Saint Michael Hymnal 551 Hail, Redeemer, King Divine . ’ Following the closing hymn, together we pray a “Hail Mary” for the next parishioner to be called home to the Lord. In light of the current crisis in the Church, we also pray the “St. Michael Prayer” as found on pg. 1085 of the red Lumen Christi Missal.

G “S G ” $5 As of this past week, our new pledge total is $4.039 million from 350 parishioner households. Follow-up letters to those who haven’t turned in pledge cards should be arriving at homes this week. We continue to thank God for the commitment and generosity of our parishioners! We are also beginning the conversation about this project with our neighbors. We want to be good neighbors and sincerely believe that this project can be a “win-win” for us and the neighborhood. Improved traffic flow and greatly increased off-street parking are foreseen with the completion of this project. We will continue to work with city staff to be respectful and responsive to the needs of those around us. Please consider praying a novena with your family to the Infant Jesus of Prague for the success of this project. We have entrusted this effort to His special care! The extent of what we build will depend on the generosity of those who have not yet finished discerning their commitment. Examples of what still depends on how much additional funding we receive: --exact number of meeting rooms and classrooms (currently two, hoping for four or more!) --dedicated activity space for our youth group and young adults --finishing touches such as bleachers for the gym, curtain for the stage, A/V equipment, etc. --convent renovation for the Handmaids of the Heart of Jesus who begin serving here in 2020 --HVAC improvements in church --security upgrades for Holy Family Academy --renovation of the kitchen in Fr. Moorman Hall --parish library Many thanks to all those who have already generously made sacrifices! This new facility will be a great blessing to everyone in the parish for generations to come!

Grateful praise to our three choirs - the Parish Choir, Schola Cantorum and Youth Choir - for a wonderful season, September through June, in aiding parishioners to lift hearts and minds to the Almighty at our Masses each week. The Parish choir had an especially challenging and rewarding year, singing the Faure Requiem,Masses by Schubert and

Haydn, and two concerts, including the St. Mark Passion by Charles Wood; the Schola Cantorum continued its tireless pursuit of the Gregorian repertory and Classical Polyphony; and the Youth Choir tackled a great quantity of classic Sacred Music, performing so beautifully at both Masses and concerts. Looking forward to next season, the combined choirs will present Handel's Messiah on Sun., Dec. 1 at 3:00, with full orchestra and soloists! 5
