Our History:
The Savage Street Church of Christ began on March 4, 1923 at 6th and
H Streets. After sometime on Evelyn Street, we moved to our present location on March 20,
1960. Join us in 2023 when we celebrate our 100th anniversary!

Congregational Challenge This week’s CHALLENGE has a lot of potential for FUN. This week you are asked to MAKE A MEMORY! The field of ideas is wide open! If you’ve got flowers blooming in your yard, pick some and take them to a senior citizen. Volunteer to babysit for a busy mother, if she okays it. Maybe mow someone’s yard for free. Maybe just call someone and LISTEN to what’s going on in that person’s life. Think seriously and go forth and MAKE A MEMORY so that in the future you’ll say, “Remember that time when…”

Patterns of Evidence Elsewhere in this bulletin, you will see an advertisement for Patterns of Evidence: The Red Sea Miracle II. However, this will not be shown in theaters, but they will play it online. We must still purchase tickets, which will be $19.95. I will find out if there is a limit on how many people can watch it in one location.

What Is Keeping Them from Going After the Church? If there had been no Declaration of the United States in 1776, there would have been no Constitution in 1787 and Bill of
Rights in 1791. If there had been no Bible there would have been no Declaration of Independence from Great Britain and in the same document no Declaration of Dependence “on the protection of divine Providence.” What then would America be like? Think about that and keep thinking with me. You see what is going on today. The destruction not only of businesses, but of anything dealing with our history. They are even going after Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant, which I thought would have been men that they would magnify and honor. If what I said at the first is true, and if they are going after things related to our history, and if they are going after our Constitution, and if they are going after the Declaration of the United States, will they stop there and not go after the Bible and the churches in the same way that they are going after all these other things?
