JUNE 24 – 27, 2016IMPROVING PERIOPERATIVE OUTCOMES
EXHIBIT GUIDEEXHIBIT DATES: JUNE 24 – 26
Welcome to the 2016 CAS Annual Meeting/Conference!
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS), I would like to extend a sincere welcome, and wish every delegate an experience beyond expectation. We look forward to welcoming you to Vancouver, and within the theme of Improving Perioperative Outcomes, to providing you with three days of educational programming sure to energize you and to enhance your practice.
Dynamic plenary speakers and session presenters, along with informative exhibitors, and of course endless networking opportunities with fellow anesthesiologists, anesthesiology assistants, educators, researchers and friends are guaranteed. I am confident that this year’s programming will exceed your expectations – plan to be busy! Knowledge sharing and translation is truly what our Annual Meeting represents, whether it occurs formally in the form of podium presentations or informally in corridors and social events.
Dr Daniel Bainbridge, Chair, the Annual Meeting planning committee and the CAS staff team have been hard at work once again, to provide delegates with a relevant and interesting technical program. The Local Arrangements Committee is actively coordinating exciting activities and events to enhance your conference experience. With this combination of enthusiasm and dedication, you can’t afford to miss out this year.
I challenge you to take full advantage of your time in Vancouver, and encourage you to seek out CAS staff or Board if there is anything we can do to make your experience a success. Have a wonderful time.
Sincerely,
Susan O’Leary, MD, FRCPCPresident, Canadian Anesthesiologists’ SocietySusan O’Leary MD FRCP

It was an obvious decision for me to join CAS during my first year of residency—and that was more than 20 years ago! I’ve enjoyed getting involved, networking, and sharing ideas and thoughts with colleagues across the country, and I encourage Residents and newly qualified anesthesiologists to join CAS. There are so many benefits of membership, from continuing education and hearing about cutting-edge research to multiple communication opportunities such as hearing about job openings in Canada and beyond. After all, CAS represents the specialty in which you plan to work for the rest of your career.
