Polar Automatic Winders

Polar automatic windersExtremely popular all over the markets, Savio Polar model has been recently developed to max 80 positions and gathers all the innovative solutions for the high quality demand, for both yarn and package output with any downstream process. This automatic winder summarizes all the expectations of the markets thanks to the various innovations in terms of technology, quality output, simplified maintenance and energy saving.

All POLAR models (manual feeding, automatic feeding free standing, automatic link) represent the utmost technology available: the previous success of the mechanical models has been followed by the last generation of the fully controlled electronic one, which is today the state-of-the-art. The more sophisticated machine in the range is POLAR/I Direct Link System, the solution for linking the ring spinning frame to the winder; this machine introduces a new concept in automatic link winding, ergonomics and user friendly sophistication. The POLAR/I DLS boasts an unique spinning frame to winder close loop feeding system, the winder being an extension of the same, ensuring total free flow of the materials. In 2013, a new step forward was done adding to the Polar family the Premium series. The Premium version implemented the features of the traditional free standing winder, being based on the winding unit and frame of the link version, thus improving its automation standards. In fact, the hopper, the peg feeding system, the End finder stations, the Backup stations transform the original “manual doffed” bobbin into a similar bobbing used in the link system.Now the Polar family has placed along with the drum winding technology also the drumless technology: in this way, we want to meet all customers’ requests in terms of flexibility and productivity.

Flexible and reliable: Polar manual feeding typeIn terms of flexibility and productivity, the manual feeding winder is a reply to those spinning mills using ring spinning frames with different bobbin sizes, for different counts and fiber. This winder can easily process different yarns and counts, allowing a very flexible production planning, since there is no rigid assignment of yarn allotments from ring spinning frames.Furthermore, Polar round magazine model is so flexible that can be customized according to feeding requirements and to special spun yarns: • MR/LR version with package feeding

allowing the rewinding of packages of any taper;

• MF/LF version for processing wet spun flax yarns;

• Special version with feeding from large bobbins;

• Special version with feeding from waste cones.

“M/L” version: round magazine bobbin feedingM/L version is the manual feeding automatic winder, which has imposed itself as top seller in many markets thanks to the peak technologies improving production, decreasing energy consumption and simplifying maintenance. This manual feeding winder is available with manual package doffing (M) or automatic package doffing (L), and is remarkable for the following features:• Yarn path with reduced points of contact on

the yarn• Take-up packages with different taper ratios

with electronic on/off anti-patterning system• Different solutions for air splicing, water

splicing, heat splicing, and mechanical splicing, in other words the “total splicing system” that completely covers all cotton, wool, linen and silk fiber materials

• Various types of bobbin feeding from 180 to 350 mm

• 6 or 9 pocket round magazine

“R” version: package feeding R version allows rewinding of packages of any taper, producing packages ideal for any subsequent use. The main fields of use of POLAR MR/LR are rewinding packages coming from the dyeing process, packages of different shapes and contents, packages coming from Open End spinning frames and packages remnants. The machine equipped with automatic feeding package change is available with (LR) or without (MR) automatic doffing trolley. A simplified version is also available with a single fixed peg.

Polar Multicone Winder

Polar Multicone: especially studied for dyeing process packages & fine counts The different downstream processes require a wide flexibility in the wound package building, in order to optimize the specific efficiency.Packages for warping, weft, knitting, dyeing, doubling twisting, require a complete different package formation in terms of geometry, edges shape and density, which can be only possible, provided the yarn be wound with a different and flexible layering system.

Being consequently requested an easy and fast change in the winding process, a digital yarn layering technology (drumless) is needed to

prepare all formats.

“Multicone” version: the digital yarn layering technology

Polar “Multicone” system represents today the proper

solution to achieve that flexibility through:

- Straight path layering system: the only one that allow a precise and

controlled yarn deposit on the format, being the thread guide movement much closer to the package, than any other “pendulum” system, keeping also a fix distance delivery point.

This guarantee a full and precise control the thread during the whole traverse stroke, but mainly at the package edges areas, where the yarn dynamic is critical, because of the stroke inversion effect. As a consequence, the winding maximum speed and out-put is limited to prevent “yarn falls” on package flanks.

- The “skill free” PC , where the few settings required, are easily selected by any mill operator, once you need change the layering winding angle or number of turns with a suggested menu of main end use applications.

- The C.A.T. (computer aided tension) and Tensorflex, interacts directly with the Multicone digital system in order to even the winding tension during the whole process, with any yarn count and material type (including single /double core-siro spun….).

In case of very fine single cotton yarn or finest wool, for dyeing purposes, whenever the package arm counter-weight values need to be severely controlled, the machine can be equipped with the optional C.A.D. (Computer Aided Density).

At Shanghaitex exhibition, Savio is exhibiting a Polar Multicone winder equipped with 12 winding units, especially studied for dyeing process and fine counts: 6 units will be equipped with manual bobbing feeding (L version) and 6 units will be equipped with manual package feeding (R version). This will allow customer to see the different configurations he could obtaining choosing Polar model.

Ritorcitura Fratelli Rossi

More than forty years of experience and a close collaboration with manufactures of ma-chines have allowed Ritorcitura Rossi to work yarns that until short time ago was thought to be impossible to realize.Making good use of the latest technology available with specific modifications, they have directed their twisting production in the direction of the finest counts: work unique yarns from 190 Ne to Ne 300 with the possibi-lity of twisting to 4 plies.Supercharging, addition of paraffin, axial di-splacement of the yarn guide through electro-nic systems, different angles of intersection: everything of this in the twisting step.Know-how and software technology of the machines allow Ritorcitura F.lli Rossi to pro-duce cones in various formats, with different angles of intersection (more or less open), constant or variable, with borders more or less rounded to facilitate the dyeing and allowing, in this way, a good use in the following step of textile chain.With 300 positions of precision singeing (splitted between Cotton Division and Syn-thetics Division) Ritorcitura F.lli Rossi is able to produce approximately 100,000 kg / month

Since the early 70s, one of the leaders in the twisting manufacturing, the Italian Ritorcitura F.lli Rossi has directed its skills to manufacturing fine and very fine counts. From the 80s, the company has set up a division with 500 spindles for winding and singeing cotton yarns. After 2010, the Rossi family has reorganized the company and ventured into new R&D projects: • 2012 new twisting division in collaboration with Savio and SSM• 2013 new plant in Egypt, Winsitex Egypt S.A.E

SIRIUS Two-for-one twisterSavio has achieved the maximum automation possible with the new generation of twisters, SIRIUS.

This machine is available in two versions: the mechanical one and the electrical one (Elec-tronicDriveSystem). Sirius EDS model has independent motors and inverters that allow you to adjust all operating parameters through the interface of a PC. This innovation comes from electronic knowledge, which Savio already used in other sophisticated products. The main impact of this innovation is to decrease strongly the ma-chine set-up time, thus reducing the number of operators for each machine, while introducing a simple and direct way to change any setting.

The main features of Sirius machine are:• A high structural standardization for all the

diverse models.• A wide range both for feeding and spindle

dimensions for every yarn type and count.• A great optional offer, available for all the

different machine versions.• “Electronic” solutions and simplified main-

tenance to reduce the workforce needed for each machine.
