The Outlook

Glenn’s Corner

It is hard to believe we are at the end of June.

I can tell you Junior 1 church camp will be one of the

highlights of your child’s summer if they were able to

attend. Besides all the fun and fellowship we had

every day, the lessons and worship times really

touched my heart as well as the children’s

hearts. When you can block out this world and praise

God all day long, great things start happening!

Psalm 19:1-4 says, “The heavens declare the glory

of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. [2]

Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night

they display knowledge. [3] There is no speech or

language where their voice is not heard. [4] Their

voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the

ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a

tent for the sun,”

If you are like me, it is hard sometimes to stop and

see the Lord in everything. Whether I like it or not

the Lord is present. Like David said in the Psalm

above, his glory is declared for all to see. None can

escape the fact that this world is greater than we

think. We can ignore that fact or we can embrace the

realization that we have a God who loves us and

wants to display his mighty works for all to see.

Let God overwhelm you with the simple things of

summer or vacation spot that inspires you.

As we go through the next two months you will

see many activities for our children and teens as well

as several church wide activities. We don’t expect

you to be at all of them, but we hope you can attend

some to get to know the church family and partake in

the sweet fellowship. It is vital that you bring your

children/teens to events. It is a fact that if they don’t

know each other they will lose interest in

church. How can they get to know church friends if

we as parents don’t bring them? Take the time to

encourage them and bring them to activities. Sunday

School is a great place to study God’s Word together

and it only adds another hour to your Sunday

schedule. Check it out too.

I pray we all make memories this summer as we

travel or stay in town. May God open our eyes to His

wonders - big and small - every day!

Following His Lead, Glenn

Luke’s Letter to the Flock

I want to start of by saying THANK YOU

so very much to everyone who had a hand in making the

graduate banquet go so well! It’s hard to see those students

move on in life but I am very PROUD of each and every

one of them! Also SPECIAL THANKS to all who helped

with & brought their cars to the car wash. We raised a little

over $400 for our ministry! Awesome!

God has been working in our teens these past few

months! We just got back from SITS at the KCU campus in

Kentucky and it was amazing! God showed up in a big way

for everyone at the conference! He challenged us as a min-

istry to realize that “What We Have” and “Who We Are” is

more than Enough Already! Our students studied,

worshipped a living God, prayed, and became so much

closer over the week! Check out the pictures and poster that

will be put up close to the church office!

Over the next two months we will be SUPER busy!

With middle school camp at Park Springs, middle school

Collide, high school camp at Park Springs, and much more!

Pick up a calendar of events in the main lobby and stay in

tune with what our Student Ministry is doing!

More than anything, please continue to pray for

them! The world we live in is nothing like the times we

experience with our Lord! We need to be challenged to stay

in touch with who He is, and what He has in store for us!

CHILDREN’S Corner Hey Folks,

Our VBS the “Great Round-up” was a huge blessing and a wonderful

success this year! Special THANKS TO ALL for helping make this happen :

those who helped build the set, taught a lesson, volunteered to work with our

kids, baked some goodies, brought someone each night, participated in the food

drive or was faithful to pray for us, THANKS for using your talents and

doing your part. By the time you read this newsletter we will have sent 3 groups

of kids to Park Springs Christian Camp. Even running at this fast pace I can see

God working in our kids, encouraging them to get even more serious about their

relationship with Him. Please continue to keep our families in your prayers this

summer. Summer is such a super season because it allows for extra opportunities

for families to spend time TOGETHER. We all agree families need more time

together and certainly with our Heavenly Father. Parents: please pick up a

summer calendar for Super Tuesdays and also take note of our Sunday night

and Wednesday night services and there locations. God is using our sum-

mer events to bring us closer to each other and make us a

family and ultimately bring us closer to Him.

New members welcome!

No experience necessary! This is a great time

to join and be a part of this ministry !

Team Expansion is a missionary sending organization, based out of

Louisville, KY, that is transforming communities among the unreached by

planting biblical churches in 48 countries through 72 different projects.

Nathan Holt works in the training and outreach departments at

International Services {Team Expansion’s home office} where they equip and

send more new missionaries to the field each year. Nathan also serves to meet

the multi-media needs of Team Expansion’s current missionary force of over

300 worldwide.

Julie Mitchell Holt serves as their forwarding agent, manager and

bookkeeper. She also serves as a full-time mom for their daughter, Ema, and

works part-time as a massage therapist to help supplement their income.

Their ministry with TE is built around partnerships. God being first,

provides the inspiration and passion. Second is their ministry partners. They

undergird them with prayer and financial commitment. Third is Nathan and

Julie working day to day to champion the cause of the unreached to impact

them with the Gospel.

The reason they serve: There are over 7000 unreached people groups

in the world today—50,000 people from these groups die each day without

hearing the message of Christ. Nearly 85% of the world’s missionary force is

currently working among reached people groups. Less than 1/2 of 1% of all

Christian giving goes to support frontier missions among unreached peoples.
