Society of St. Vincent de Paul
gives back !!
Nativity- St. Stanislaus shares in the profits. For each car, truck or van,
running or not, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will give back to our
church $50/$100 per vehicle. Maybe you don’t have a vehicle, but a
family member, friend or neighbor has an old or neglected vehicle in
their driveway that they would like to dispose of.
Call the Society at 718-491-2525.
Please remember to turn off all cell phones
and electronic devices before entering the
church. All your fellow parishioners will
appreciate this thoughtful act. Church is a
place where people go to pray, reflect and
be attentive to the service. Texting during
any service in Church is not appropriate.
SUMMER DRESS
Remember the time when people put on their
"Sunday best" to go to church? In fact, dress clothes
were often referred to as Sunday clothes in some
parts of the country. Too often, dress in church has
become very casual. In all areas of our lives, we
should offer Christ our best, and the same is true of
our dress. We should offer Christ our “Sunday
best". We should dress modestly, not in a flashy
way that would bring attention to ourselves. Our
dress should always be becoming of a
Christian - especially at church.
LETS DRESS OUR BEST TO GIVE THE LORD OUR SUNDAYS BEST!
Holy Hour
First Friday August 5th
at 7:30pm
Can you not watch one hour with me?
(Mt 26, 40)
"The only time our Lord asked his apostles was
this question the night of his agony. Since that
time it’s been frequently seen in Church history
that evil has always been awake and his
disciples asleep. Therefore it is from his
anguished heart and abandoned the whine
‘’Can you not watch one hour with me”, He did
not plead for an hour of activity, only for an
hour of companionship. Through adoration, the
Christian mysteriously contributes to the
transformation of the world and spreading the
gospel. Anyone who spends an hour of adora-
tion before Jesus develops a personal relation-
ship with Him and grows in love and holiness,
allowing you hear and recognize His voice when
He speaks to our hearts. It is also to help the
worshipers to be faithful to the time of his com-
mitment to the exposure of the Eucharist, Jesus
knowing that you will not be left alone. So you
are welcome to Spend an hour with Our Lord
Jesus...

Tú me lo diste, a ti, Señor, lo torno.
Todo es Tuyo. Dispón de todo según tu voluntad. Dame tu
amor y tu gracia, que esta me basta.
Amen”.
