July is here and as the temperature heats up so does the competition! On June 17 we traveled to Indy Region to participate in the Tri-Region Challenge, we came in second in the challenge by a difference of only twenty points! Each year we get closer to bringing home the big trophy, so next year it is bound to come back to Cincinnati!
Two of our members did bring home individual trophies from the event, congratulations to Renee Hines who was the recipient of the Fastest Woman Trophy and to Tom O'Gorman who recieved the first in Pax trophy! The event was a lot of fun, and Indy Region put on a great event. July is a very busy month for racing we have our fifth points event which will be held at Turfway Park on Sunday July 8, and on the 22 of July we will be back at Turfway Park for PE #6. Then on August 12 we will be back at Turfway Park for PE#7. There are a few updates to the schedule, the event on August 19 that was originally scheduled as a Test and Tune has been changed to Points Event Eight, and we have added a joint event with WOR to be held at Kil-Kare Raceway on August 26. Our final event of the season will be held on September 16 at the Wilmington Airport, this will also be a joint event with WOR and will also be our annual Pax Challenge. Please mark your calendars for these upcoming events and we hope to see you at an event in the very near future!
A big thank you to all the good folks
who donated items for the
Silent Auction at last year's IT/SPECtacular. On July
27-29th at Mid-Ohio we will be holding
our 2nd annual silent auction
in memory of Judy Cowie
for the benefit of ALS. Your donated items and support are
greatly appreciated. Items can be
brought to the track and left at garage
#1 or contact Bob Cowie 625-5584.
