Journal  #6    According  to  the  WGSN  Trend  Report  the  tooled  leather  bag  is  a  trend  this  season.  This  is  a  confirmation  of  the  leather  trend  that  I  noticed  in  my  last  journal  entry.  I  mentioned  leather  bags  that  were  a  trend  even  though  they  never  really  left.  But,  this  seasons  designers  are  finding  new  ways  to  incorporate  leather  into  outfits  including  designs  in  leather.  Some  examples  of  this  are  the  tooled  bags,  belts  and  even  boots.    Another  trend  that  was  pointed  out  on  WGSN  was  the  cellular  mesh  top.  The  trend  that  I  talked  about  in  my  last  entry  was  lace  but  I  feel  that  mesh  and  lace  are  very  similar  in  this  case.  While  lace  tends  to  be  a  little  more  elegant  the  cellular  mesh  top  can  give  a  casual  look  to  any  outfit.  This  trend  and  the  lace  trend  that  I  mentioned  are  similar  in  the  way  that  both  are  used  as  cover  and  one  must  usually  wear  something  underneath  it.  Either  trends  also  have  a  design  aspect  of  basically  having  holes  or  mesh  in  the  fabric,  which  allows  it  to  breathe.    Another  trend  I  talked  about  in  my  last  entry  was  patterns  that  were  even  on  shoes.  WGSN  confirms  that  one  trend  this  season  is  court  espadrille  wedge  shoe.  This  shoe  is  full  of  patters  weather  it  is  the  fabric  of  the  shoe  or  the  texture  of  the  heel  of  the  shoe.  While  this  does  seem  like  a  stretch  patters  are  all  over  this  shoe,  no  matter  how  you  really  look  at  it.
