Only qualified signalers should signal to the craneoperator.

Only one signaler should signal to the crane operator.If your crew includes multiple qualified signalers, en-sure workers and the crane operator are aware of thedesignated signaler for the upcoming operation.

Any new/project-specific hand signals should be de-termined prior to any crane operation.

The designated signaler should always stay in directsight of the crane operator.

Crane operators must be trained and certified in accordance with OSHA regulations. Materials must be rigged by a qualified rigger. A qualified rigger/signaler must know and understand the types of rigging and signals used.
