Tugboat

A tugboat (tug) is a boat that maneuvers vessels by pushing or towing them. Tugs move vessels that either should not move themselves, such as ships in a crowded harbor or a narrow canal, or those that cannot move by themselves, such as barges, disabled ships, or oil platforms. Tugbo-ats are powerful for their size and strongly built, and some are ocean-going. Some tugboats serve as icebreakers or salvage boats. Early tugboats had steam engines, but today have diesel engines. Many tugboats have firefighting monitors, allowing them to assist in firefighting, especially in harbors

Twenty equivalent units (TEU)

It is the unit of measurement of the cargo with the containersThey are two types of variants in this measurement

1 twenty feet TEU = 20, twenty feet equivalent containers2 twenty feet TEU = 40, twenty feet equivalent containers3 twenty feet TEU = 60, twenty feet equivalent containers…etc(I;e) number of equivalent containers in N TEU = N*20 = 20N.

1. 20 feet TEU: this unit contains twenty, 20 feet equivalent containers.

CONTAINERIZATION

The processes of packing the cargo individually and then arranging the packed cargo into the containers for safety and handy is known as containerization.ADVANTAGES Quick and effective carriage. Eradicate multiple handling in case of FLC’S for door
