From 1980 to 2000, Lake County’s growth was driven by users migrating out of the 1950-1970’s vintage building stock and higher tax regimes in the North Cook County submarket. Following CenterPoint’s groundbreaking of Lakeview Corporate Park in 1990 and through the end of 2009, the Southeast Wisconsin submarket added close to 19 million square feet of industrial space. • The current patterns of industrial development in Southeast Wisconsin share many parallels with the trends that occurred in bordering Lake County, IL.
