The Commandments, Precepts and Judgments of Jesus Christ

"Line upon line, precept upon

precept" .

Jesus opened by teaching the need to repent because the kingdom ofheaven was at hand. The orig inal meaning of repentance is to turn fromnot doing as God said to do what He said. It doesn't mean to just stopdoing something, it means to turn to do what He said, believing what Hesaid is the very truth of God. By careful review of His teachings we canknow what He taught, just as the original disciples did. We are warnedin Scripture of a time coming upon the world that will catch everyone ina trap/snare (Matt. 24; Luke 21; Psalm 2, 46, and others), there are also

parting words from Jesus regarding patience, courage, faithfulness,prayer and standing firm in what we have and can do.

The advice in Revelation is to be numbered among those whosetestimony of Jesus empowers their lives and is in agreement with whatHe said. This is also in keeping with the quote from Moses in Acts3:22,23, that we are to hear whatever He had to say. It isn't about usbeing perfect, but that we are actively living and growing by abiding inthe treasures of hope and truth Jesus gave about the will of God, thislife, and the one to come - that He makes known to His disciples that

abide in His word.

Following is a listing made of all the things He taught that are directteachings of commandments, precepts, promises and judgementsthat His disciples are to hold fast to. Most everyone recognizes the'golden rule', but He gave us far more than that. I would invi te everyonewho calls themselves Christian wash themselves in His word andconsider each truth and how it relates to their personal relationship withthe Master Teacher.

1. Matthew 4:4; "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every wordthat proceeds from the mouth of God." Deu. 8:3

25. 5:20; "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the

righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees you will by no means enterthe kingdom of heaven."

26. 5:22; "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother withouta cause shall be in danger of the judgment."

27. "But I say to you that anyone who provokes to anger his brother without

cause, is condemned to judgment and anyone who should say to his

brother, I spit on you, is condemned to the assembly, and anyone who

should say, you are a coward, is condemned to the Gehenna of fire."

28. 5:22; "And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger ofthe council.’ (Note: Raca means ‘empty head’)

29. 5:22; "But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire."

30. 5:23,24; "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar (worship God),and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First bereconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift."

31. 5:25; "Agree with your adversary quickly while you are on the way tohim, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge handyou over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, Isay to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid

the last penny."

32. "Be in agreement with your adversary at Torah while you are with him on

the way, or else your adversary at Torah deliver you to the judge and the

judge deliver you to the officer and you be thrown into the house of

captives."

33. 5:27,28; "You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that whoeverlooks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery withher in his heart."

34. 5:29,30; "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast itfrom you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members

perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." (Note this is aplace where Jesus teaches about hell being a physical place)

35. 5:31,32; "Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, lethim give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that whoeverdivorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes herto commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorcedcommits adultery."**19:1-12; Note that the teaching on divorce is



expanded to explain further that ‘All cannot accept this saying, butonly those to whom it has been given.’ and that ‘He who is able toaccept it, let him accept it.’

36. 5:33-37; "And you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You

shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ ButI say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’sthrone; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for itis the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head,because you cannot make one hair white or black.. But let your ‘Yes’be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’. For whatever is more than these is fromthe evil one. 37. 5:38-41; "You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and atooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person (should notstand against evil). But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn

the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away yourtunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to goone mile, go with him two."

38. 5:42; "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrowfrom you do not turn away."

39. 5:43-48; "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love yourenighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies ,"

44. 6:1; "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men,to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Fatherin heaven."

45. 6:6; "But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you haveshut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; andyour Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."



46. 6:7; "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathendo. For they think that they will be heard for their many words."

47. 6:8-13; " For your Father knows the things you have need of beforeyou ask Him. In this manner therefore pray:" (Psalm 91)

52. "As in heaven so on earth" *'Prayer is a dialogue with Heaven, not amonologue. Y'shua's teaching stands as the demarcation betweenrelationship with YHWH rather than a religion about Him. Prayer ismeant to establish and maintain an intimate relationship, andaccountability between each individual and YHWH. Heavens alwayscome before the earth in terms of the creation order, importance and

67. 6:23; "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that

darkness!"

68. 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the oneand love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise theother."

69. B. "You cannot serve God and mammon." (Money, wealth or property) 70. 6:25-32; "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what

you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what youwill put on. Is not life more than food and the body more thanclothing?"..Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which todayis, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more

cloth you, O you of little faith?..."Therefore do not worry, saying‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these thingsthe Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need allthese things."

71. 6:33; "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, andall these things shall be added to you."

72. 6:34; "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow willworry about its own things."

73. 6:34; "Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

74. 7:1-4; " Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will bemeasured back to you."

75. 7:5; "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and thenyou will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

76. 7:6; "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls beforeswine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear youin pieces."

77. 7:7-11; "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knockand it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and hewho seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."..."If youthen, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, howmuch more will your Father who is in heaven give good things tothose who ask Him?"

78. 7:12; "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also tothem, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Jesus made no claim that



this was the fullness of what He taught, but it is often taken out ofcontext and presented as such)

79. 7:13,14; "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is theway that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life,and there are few who find it."80. 7:15; "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,

but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by theirfruits."

81. 7:19; "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and throwninto the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

82. 7:21; "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter thekingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father inheaven."

83. 7:22,23; "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we notprophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and donemany wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘Inever knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"

84. 7:24,25; "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and doesthem, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beaton that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

85. 7:26,27; "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not

do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beaton that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

86. So now we find ourselves at the end of Jesus’ famous ‘Sermon on theMount’ text. Do we find that Jesus said we are to simply follow the‘golden rule’, or do we instead see that Jesus told us to do manythings? These are the beginning of the words God gave to Him to tellus. Note that the matter divides on two things: hear Jesus and do whatHe said, or, hear and don’t do, so the matter is of doing what He said.Hearing and doing what He said meets the imperishable end result.To be a disciple of Jesus is to hear and do what He said to do!

87. 8:1-3; "When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudesfollowed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying,‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus put outHis hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’Immediately his leprosy was cleansed."



88. 8:5-14; "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done foryou." Note the faith of the centurion in the authority and power of Jesus Christ and of his submission to the will of Jesus. As Jesus said,"Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such a great faith, not even

in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west,and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom ofheaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outerdarkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

89. 8:22; "Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."

90. 8:26; " Why are you fearful, of you of little faith?"

91. 8:28-33; "Go." The demons acknowledge the person of Jesus as theSon of God and asked, ‘Have You come here to torment us before thetime?’ Demons know that they must submit to His will and that theirtime of torment is coming. Jesus is able to deliver man from even

demon possession.92. 9:1-8; "Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven" .."Why do you

think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins areforgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know thatthe Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins" - then He said tothe paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

93. 9:9; "Follow Me."

94. 9:12; "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those whoare sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not

sacrifice’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, torepentance." (Did Jesus teach the total depravity of man?)

95. 9:15; "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as thebridegroom is with them? But the days will come when thebridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast."

96. 9:16; "No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; forthe patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskinsbreak, the wine is spilled and the wineskins are ruined. But they putnew wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."

97. 9:22; "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." (Herfaith was that she could only touch the hem of His garment that shewould be healed. Again, her faith was in His power and ability toremedy her problem.)

98. 9:24; "Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping." (Is death butsleep?)



99. 9:27-29; ""Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him,‘Yes, Lord.’ Then He touched their eyes saying, "According to yourfaith let it be to you."

100.9:38; "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into

His harvest."

101.10:5; "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city ofthe Samaritans. But as you go rather to the lost sheep of the house ofIsrael." (Gospel to the Jew first and then to the Gentile.)

102.10:7-10; "And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is athand.’ (Ez. 40; Is. 65; Rev. 20?)

103."Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silvernor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor twotunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food."

(Later on this was changed, so it was time specific and directed to thetwelve.)

104.10:11-15; "Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it isworthy, and stay there till you go out. And when you go into ahousehold, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace comeupon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. Andwhoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you departfrom that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, Isay to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and

Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city."

105.10:16; "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

106.10:17-20; "But beware of men , for they will deliver you up to councilsand scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought beforegovernors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to theGentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how orwhat you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour whatyou should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of yourFather who speaks in you."

107.10:21-23; "Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a fatherhis child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them tobe put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. Buthe who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you inthis city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not havegone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes."



108.10:24-26; "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above hismaster. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and aservant like his master. If they have called the master of the house‘Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!

Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will notbe revealed, and hidden that will not be known." (Here Jesus calls Hisdisciples to be like Him and that we are not to fear, but to look to Hisexample by faith in Him.)

109.10:27; " Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light ,"

110.10:27; "and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops."

111.10:28; "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill thesoul.

112.10:28; "But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and bodyin hell."

113.10:29-31; "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one ofthem falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the veryhairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are ofmore value than many sparrows."

114.10:32; "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will alsoconfess before My Father who is in heaven."

115.10:33; "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also denybefore My Father who is in heaven."

116.10:34-36; "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not

come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man againsthis father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-lawagainst her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be those of hisown household."

117.10:37-39; "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthyof Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthyof Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is notworthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses hislife for My sake will find it."

118.10:40-42; "He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Mereceives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name ofa prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives arighteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive arighteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little onesonly a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say toyou, he shall by no means lose his reward."



119.11:6; "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me."

120.11:11; "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there hasnot risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in thekingdom of heaven is greater than he."

11:12-14; "And from the days of John the Baptist until now thekingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you arewilling to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. He who has ears tohear, let him hear!"

122.11:18,19; "For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘Hehas a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and theysay, ‘Look, a glutton and winebibber; a friend of tax collectors andsinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children."

123.11:27; "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no

one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know theFather except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to revealHim."

124.11:28-30; "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and Iwill give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for Iam gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

125.12:8; "For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

126.12:12; "...Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."

127.12:25-30; "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does notgather with Me scatters abroad."

128.12:31,32; "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will beforgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not beforgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, itwill be forgiven him, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, willnot be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come."

129.12:33; "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make thetree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit."

130.12:34-37; "Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak goodthings?"

131.12:34-37; "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

132.12:34-37; "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringsforth good things , and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forthevil things."



133.12:34-37; "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak,they will give account of in the day of judgment. For by your wordsyou will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

134.12:39; "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign ,"

12:43-45; "Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits morewicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last stateof that man is worse than the first. So shall it be with this wickedgeneration."

136.12:50; "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is Mybrother and sister and mother."

137.13:1-23; The parable of the sower. "For whoever has, to him more willbe given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have,even what he has will be taken away from him."..When anyone hearsthe word of the kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked

on comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is hewho received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the wordand immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself,but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecutionarises because of the word , immediately he stumbles."

138.13:1-23; "Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hearsthe word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of richeschoke the word, and he becomes unfruitful."

139.13:1-23; "But he who received seed on the good ground is he who

hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit andproduces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

140.13:24-30; "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seedin his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed taresamong the wheat and went his way.".."How does it have tares?".."Hesaid to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’" "Let both grow together untilthe harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘Firstgather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, butgather the wheat into my barn."( **Bear fruit to God even if you are ina field with spiritual weeds.)

141.13:37-44; "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field isthe world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom , but the taresare the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is thedevil , the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will beat the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and



they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and thosewho practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire.There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the rightious willshine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears

142.13:44; "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in afield, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sellsall that he has and buys that field."

143.13:45,46; "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seekingbeautiful pearls, who when he had found one pearl of great price,went and sold all that he had and bought it."

144.13:47-50; "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was castout into the sea and gathered some of every kind, which when it wasfull, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good

into vessels, but threw the bad away. So it will be at the end of theage. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing andgnashing of teeth."

145.13:52; "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom ofheaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure thingsnew and old."

146.13:57; "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country or inhis own house."

147.15:1-9; "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honorMe with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain theyworship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

148.15:11; "Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comesout of the mouth, this defiles a man."

149.15:13,14; "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted willbe uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. Andif the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch."

150.15:16-20; "Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouthgoes into the stomach and is eliminated? But those things whichproceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries,fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the thingswhich defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile aman."



151.16:2-4; "When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the skyis red; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the skyis red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how do discern theface of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. A

wicked and adulterous gen3eration seeks after a sign, and no signshall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah."

152.16:6; "Take heed and beware the leaven of the Pharisees and theSadducees."

153.16:15-23; "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered andsaid, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus answeredand said to him, "Blessed are you , Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh andblood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will buildMy church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I

will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever youbind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you bind onearth will be bound in heaven, and wahtever you loose on earth willbe loosed in heaven." Then He commanded His disciples that theyshould tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ. From that time Jesusbegan to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, andsuffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, andbe killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside andbegan to rebuke Him, saying ‘Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not

happen to You!’ But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me,Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the thingsof God, but the things of men."

154.16:24-27; "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself,and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save hislife will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Forwhat profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses hisown soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For theSon of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, andthen He will reward each according to his works."

155.17:11,12; "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. ButI say to you that Elijah has come already and they did not know himbut did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is alsoabout to suffer at their hands."

156.18:1-5; "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and becomeas little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven..



Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatestin the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives on little child like this inMy name receives Me."

157.18:6-9; "Woe to the world because of offenses@ For offenses must

come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!"

158.18:12-14; "assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over taht sheep(finding the lost one) than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.Even so it is not the willof your Father who is in heaven that one ofthese little ones should perish."

159.18:15-18; "Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell himhis fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you havegained your brother. But if he will not hear take with you one or twomore, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may beestablished.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But

if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathenand a tax collector.

160.Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound inheaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

161.18:19; "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerninganything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father inheaven."

162.18:20; "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I amthere in the midst of them."

163.18:21-35; "Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord, how often shall mybrother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?’ Jesussaid to him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventytimes seven.’" Continues with the parable of the servants aboutforgiveness of debt and that if we have been forgiven but then do notextend that to others then God will cancel the forgiveness He gave us."So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from hisheart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses."

164.19:4-11; "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginningmade them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shallleave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the twoshall become one flesh?’ So then they are no longer two but oneflesh."

165.19:4-11; "Therefore what God has joined together, let not manseparate."



166.19:8,9; "He said tot hem, ‘Moses, because of the hardness of yourhearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning itwas not so. I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexualimmorality, and marries another commits adultery; and whoever

marries her who is divorced commits adultery"

167.19: 10-12; "His disciples said to Him, ‘If such is the case of the manwith his wife, it is better not to marry.’ But He said to them, ‘Allcannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given.For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb,and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there areeunuchs who have make themselves eunuchs for the kingdom ofheaven’s sake. 170.19:18,19; "You shall not murder’, ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ Youshall not steal,’ You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your fatherand your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

171.19:21; "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to thepoor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow Me."

172.19:23-26; "Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enterthe kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel

to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter thekingdom of God." When His disciples heard it, they were greatlyastonished, sayig ‘Who then can be saved?’ But Jesus looked at themand said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God allthings are possible."

173.19:28-30; "Assuredly, I say to you, that in the regeneration, when theSon of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followedMe will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father ormother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receivea hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will belast, and the last first."

174.20:1-16; The landowner went out to hire laborers in the marketplaceseveral times during the day and paid the last hired the same as thefirst hired, who had worked hard all day, but they were paid whatthey agreed to work for and complained about it, to which the



landowner said: "Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agreewith me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish togive to this last man the same as to you. It is not lawful for me to dowhat I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am

good? So the last will be first, and the first last."

175.20:16; "For many are called, but few chosen."

176.20:25-28; "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them,and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall notbe so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, lethim be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, lethim be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served,but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

177.20:31-33; The blind men along the road. "Have mercy on us, O Lord,Son of David! So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, "What do

you want Me to do for you?" They said to Him, ‘Lord, that our eyesmay be opened.’ So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes.And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him."

178.21:21,22; "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt,you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you sayto this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea’, it will be done.And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

179.21:28-32; "But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he cameto the first and sid, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’ He answered

and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. Then hecame to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go,sir’, but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?"They said to Him, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say toyou that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God beforeyou. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didnot believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him, andwhen you saw it you did not afterward repent and believe him."

180.21:33-44; Parable of the wicked vinedressers. "Therefore I say to you,the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nationbearing the fruits of it. And whoever falls on this stone will bebroken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

181.22:1-14; "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged amarriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who wereinvited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, hesent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, "See, I



have prepared my dinner, my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and allthings are ready. Come to the wedding." But they made light of it andwent their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. Andthe rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.

But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out hisarmies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then hesaid to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who wereinvited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and asmany as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants ent outinto the highways and gathered together all whom they found, bothbad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. But thenthe king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did nothave on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did youcome in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take himaway, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping andgnashing of teeth.’ "For many are called, but few are chosen."

182.22:15-22; "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, andto God the things that are God’s."

183.22:29; "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the powerof God."

184.22:30-33; "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given inmarriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. But concerning the

resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to youby God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and theGod of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

185.22:36-40; "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesussaid to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart,with all your soul, and with all your mind’. This is the first and greatcommandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love yourneighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Lawand the Prophets."

186.23:8; "But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’, for One is yourTeacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren."

187.23:9; "Do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father,He who is in heaven.

188.23:10; "And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, theChrist."

189.23:11; "But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant."



190.23:12; "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he whohumbles himself will be exalted."

191.23:13-39; Jesus pronounced many ‘woe’s’ to the scribes, Pharisees andhypocrites. These are surely teachings and precepts of the judgement

of God and should be well noted for the individual disciple to avoidand such behavior:192."For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither

go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in."

193."For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make longprayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation."

194."For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he iswon, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves."

195."Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple thatsanctifies the gold?

196."Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar thatsanctifies the gift?"

197."Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all thingson it. He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him whodwells in it. And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne ofGod and by Him who sits on it."

198."Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe ofmint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightiermatters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to

have done, without leaving the others undone. Blind guides, whostrain out a gnat and swallow a camel!"

199."For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautifuloutwardly, bu tinside are full of dead men’s bones and alluncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men,but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."

200."Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes; someof them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourgein your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you maycome all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood ofrighteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah, son of Berechiah, whomyou murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say toyou, all these things will come upon this generation."

201."O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stonesthose who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your childrentogether as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were



not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you,you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes inthe name of the LORD.’"

202.24:4-8; "Take heed that no one deceives you." For many will come in

My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many. And youwill hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled,for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Fornation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Andthere will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.All these are the beginning of sorrows."

203.24:9-14; Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, andyou will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then manywill be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And

because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of thekingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nationsand then the end will come."

204.24:15-22; "Therefore when you see the abomination of desolationspoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place then letthose who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on thehousetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let himwho is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those

who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. Forthen there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since thebeginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

205.24:23-25; "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will riseand show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even theelect. See, I have told you beforehand."

206.24:26-28; "Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ donot go out, or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms! Do not believe it. For asthe lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also willthe coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, therethe eagles will be gathered."

207.24:29-31; "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun willbe darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fallfrom heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the



sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribesof the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming onthe clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will sendHis angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather

together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to theother."

208.24:32-35; "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branchhas already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know thatsummer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, knowthat it is near - at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generationwill by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heavenand earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

209.24:36-44; "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angelsof heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also

will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before theflood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving inmarriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not knowuntil the flood came and took them all away, so also will the comingof the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will betaken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: onewill be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not knowwhat hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master ofthe house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have

watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore youalso be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do notexpect."

210.24:45-51; "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his mastermade ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find sodoing. Assuredly, I say to you, that he will make him ruler over allhis goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master isdelaying his coming,' and begins to bat his fellow servants, and to eatand drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come ona day when he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appointhim his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping andgnashing of teeth."

211.25:1-13; Parable of the wise and foolish virgins and the need to beprepared, even with slumber, to be ready to go at His coming."Assuredly, I do not know you" is said to those not prepared to meet



him. "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour inwhich the Son of Man is coming."

212.25:14-30; Parable of the talents. Use whatever God has given you toHis glory and profit of His business. "For to everyone who has, more

will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who doesnot have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast theunprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weepingand gnashing of teeth."

213.25:31-40; "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holyangels with Him then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All thenations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them onefrom another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. AndHe will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed

of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from thefoundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; Iwas thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Mein; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; Iwas in prison and you came to Me." ... "Then the righteous willanswer Him saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feedYou, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a strangerand take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see Yousick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and

say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one ofthe least of these My brethren, you did it to Me."

214.25:41-46; "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Departfrom Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the deviland his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I wasthirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did nottake Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison andyou did not visit Me."..."Then they also will answer Him, saying,'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or nakedor sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' Then He willanswer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you didnot do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' Andthese will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteousinto eternal life."

215.26:6-13; "And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon theleper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly



fragrant oil, and she pouredit on His head as He sat at the table. Butwhen His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, 'Why thiswaste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and givento teh poor.' ... "But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them,

'Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work forMe. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you not havealways. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for Myburial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached inthe whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as amemorial to her."

216.26:24; "The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, butwoe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would havebeen good for that man if he had not been born."

217.26:26-30; "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and

broke it, and gave to the disciples and said, "Take, eat, this is Mybody." Then He took the cup, and gave thanks and gave it to them,saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the newcovenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I sayto you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until thatday when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."

218.26:39; "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me;nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."

219.26:40,41; "Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping,

and said to Peter, 'What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed iswilling, but the flesh is weak.'"

220.26:42; "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from ME unless Idrink it, Your will be done."

221.26:52-56; "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword willperish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to MyFather, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions ofangels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it musthappen thus?" In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, "Have youcome out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I satdaily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me. Butall this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might befulfilled."

222.26:63,64; 'And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I put Youunder oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, The Son



of God!" Jesus said to him, "It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say toyou, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand ofthe Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

223.28:11,12; "Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor

asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" Jesus said to him,"It is as you say."

224.28:9; "Rejoice!" (the shortest commandment is our response to therisen Christ, as well as the women who found the tomb empty)

225.28:10; "Do not be afraid."

226.28:18-20; "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teachingthem to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I amwith you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

When first presented with the challenge to look into the teachings of Jesusmore deeply, that there would be over one hundred, I didn't expect thatthere would be over 200 in the gospel of Matthew alone. Pretty mucheverything He said was in some way a commandment or precept/judgmentthat have to do with what we are to believe or do. This has been quite atask to set out and not just highlight them in my bible, but to put them tothe recounting as done above. Perhaps you see more, or less, but weshould all agree that these are the words we are to cherish and build our

faith on. Jesus gave us the words from God. These are the words we are tohear in addition to the commandments God gave through Moses to Israel.Even Abraham had commandments and precepts of God to keep beforeMoses gave the law. Genesis 26: 2-5 says, "Then the LORD appeared to himand said: "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land which I shall tell you.Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you andyour descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which Iswore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants multiplyas the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and inyour seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham

obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statures,and My laws." The kingdom of heaven is a kingdom, and the Lord of thatKingdom has said we are to do what He said if we call Him our Lord.

Several times I've noted precious gems of truth in the Bible from the mostunsuspected books. After noting the depth and breadth of Matthews



account of the teachings of Jesus it was hard for me to grasp the othergospel accounts could contain as much, or contain additional teachings thatMatthew didn't account for. As we go through them, book by book, wouldit then be useful to take the entire accounting and reduce the redundant or

partial teachings that are covered better in another account?After some in depth study, I must concede that our Bible's have not been tried by

the standards given by God to verify who we listen to that says they speak for

Him. These things are found in Deu. 4, 12, 13 and 18, Isaiah's words; 'If they

speak not according to the Law and the Testimony, there is no light in them', and

finally by Jesus (Y'shua) who passed all the 'tests' and finalized that it is by His

word we will be judged. Jesus spoke of 'wolves' who would damage the sheep

and scatter them. In the OT words spoken over the children of Abraham, of the

son Benjamin is a prophecy of latter days when a wolf would arise from

Benjamin who would scatter and plunder the sheep. Saul (Paul) fits the pattern,

and surely taught against what Jesus declared true, as did the Twelve declare

true. There are twelve apostles in the foundations spoken of in Revelation, not

thirteen. Paul persecuted Jewish Christians, spoke against the Jews, spoke

against the Temple, spoke against the Torah of God, lied about who gave the law

to Moses, and taught what had been prohibited to be permissible (eating meat

offered to idols) and not a commandment, but only to be obeyed when 'weak'

brothers thought it was wrong. The evidence is overwhelmingly against Paul,

and we need to purge his falsehoods that are not in total accord with what was

taught to be the truth from Jesus Christ. To learn more, read "Jesus' Words

Only" by Douglas DelTondo. He's done a great work of research that answersmost questions I've thought about and supports his findings with actual

Scripture, historical quotes, and handily shows quite a number of false

reasonings Paul gave to promote his twisted views - confusing the reader, but

now made plain to show their falsehoods ugly heads. As such, I'm deleting all

records beyond what the original Church would accept as truth: Only that

which was written by one of the twelve original disciples of Jesus Christ - the

ones who knew what He taught with promised Holy Spirit inspiration - not just

second hand witnesses recall after a number of years. Yet, after additional study,

particularly a harmony of the gospel accounts of the teachings Jesus gave

regarding the destruction of the temple at Jerusalem and the end times, I believewe need to also regard the records of Mark and Luke for their testimony of the

teachings of the Master Teacher and Prophet that we must hear in all things.

better in another account? Nevertheless, we can continue with Mark.

Mark begins his account of the gospel of Jesus Christ differently. John isfound preparing the way for Jesus by preaching repentance and batism for

the remission of sin. John also preached "There comes One after me who

is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and

loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the

Holy Spirit." When Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan we read,

"And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting

and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from

heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

2. Mark 1:15; "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.

Repent, and believe in the gospel."

3. 2. 1:17; "Follow Me and I will make you become fishers of men."

4. 2:8-11; "Why do you reason about these things in your hears? Which is

easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say,

'Arise, take up your bed and walk?' But that you may know that the Son

of Man has power on earth to forgive sins' - He said to the paralytic, 'I say

to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.'"

5. 2:17; "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are

sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

6. 2:20; "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away

from them, and then they will fast in those days."

7. 2:22; "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine

bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But

new wine must be put into new wineskins."

8. 2:27,28; "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."

9. 3:4-6; "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or

to kill?" And when He had looked around at them with anger, being

grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out

your hand." And he stretched it out and his hand was restored as whole as

the other. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the

Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

10. 3:20-30; "Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not

so much as eat bread. But when His own people heard about this they

went out to lay hold of Him, for they said 'He is out of His mind." And the

Scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, 'He has Beelzebub' and, 'By

the ruler of demons He casts out demons.' So He called them to Himself



and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan? If a

kingdom is divided against itself that kingdom cannot stand. And if a

house is divided against itself that house cannot stand. And if Satan has

risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but has and end.

No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he

first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. Assuredly,

I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever

blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy

Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation" -

because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit."

11. 3:31-35; Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside

the sent to Him, calling Him. And a multitude was sitting around Him and

they said to Him, 'Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside

seeking You." But He answered them saying, "Who is My mother, or My

brothers?" And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him

and said, " Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will

of God is My brother and My sister and mother."

12. 4:11,12; "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of

God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that

'Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not

understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them."

13. 4:14-20; "The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the

wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes

immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These

likewise are the ones sown on the stony ground who, when they hear theword, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in

themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or

persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble. Now

these are the ones sown among the thorns; they are the ones who hear the

word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the

desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes

unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear th

word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a

hundred."

14. 4:21-23; "Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isit not to be set on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden which will not

be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret, but that it should come to

light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him her."

15. 4:26-29; "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the

ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should

sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields



crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the

head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle,

because the harvest has come."

16. 4:30-32; "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what

parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is

sown on the ground is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is

sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all the herbs, and shoots out

large branches, so that the birds of teh air may nest under its shade."

17. 4:39,40; Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace,

be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to

them, 'Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?"

18. 5:1-20; When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he

cried out with a loud voice and said, 'What have I to do with You, Jesus,

Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not

torment me.' For He said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!"

Then He asked Him, 'What is your name?'..And when He got into the

boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with

Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to

your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you,

and how He has had compassion on you."

19. 5:34; "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be

healed of your affliction."

20. 5:36; "Do not be afraid; only believe."

21. 5:39; "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but

sleeping."

22. 6:4; "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his

own relatives, and in his own house."

23. 6:10,11; "In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart

from that place. And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you

depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony

against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom

and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city."

24. 7:6-7; "Well did Isiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This

people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in

vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

25. 7:8; "For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of

men - the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you

do."

26. 7:9-13; "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may

keep your tradition. For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your

mother,' and 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'



But you say, 'If a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever profit you

might have received from me is Corban' - (that is, a gift to God), then you

no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, making the

word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed

down. And many such things you do."

27. 7:14-16; "Hear Me, everyone, and understand. There is nothing that

enters a man from outside which can defile him, but the things which come

out of him, those are the things that defile a man. If anyone has ears to

hear , let him hear."

28. 7:18-23; "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive

that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does

not enter his heart, but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all

foods? And He said, What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For

from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,

fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness,

an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from

within and defile a man."

29. 7:27; "Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the

children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."

30. 8:15; "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of

Herod."

31. 8:33; "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of

God, but the things of men."

32. 8:34-38; "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and

take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life willlose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own

soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and

sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He

comes in the glory of His father with the holy angels."

33. 9:12,13; "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all things. And how

is it written concerning the Son of Man, that He must suffer many things

and be treated with contempt? But I say to you that Elijah has also come,

and they did to him whatever they wished, as it is written of him."

34. 9:23; "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

35. 9:29; "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

36. 9:35; "If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of

all."

37. 9:37; "Whoever receives one of these little ones in My name receives Me;

and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me."



38. 9:39-41; Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name

can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on

our side. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name,

because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means

lose his reward."

39. 9:50; Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another."

40. 10:15; "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of

God as a little child will by no means enter it."

41. 10:24; "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the

kingdom of God!"

42. 10:27; "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all

things are possible."

43. 10:29-31; "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or

brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My

sake and the gospel's who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time

- houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands with

persecutions - and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first

will be last, and the last first."

44. 10:40; "but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give,

but it is for those for whom it is prepared."

45. 10:41-45; And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased

with James and John. But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them,

"You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it

over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall

not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among youshall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be the first shall be

slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to

serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

46. 11:22-26; "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to

this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in

his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have

whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when

you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And

whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive

him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Butif you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your

trespasses."

47. 12:17; "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the

things that are God's."

48. 12:24-27; "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the

Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they



neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

But concerning the dead, that they arise, have you not read in the Book of

Moses, in the burningbush passage, how God spoke to him saying, 'I am

the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not

the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly

mistaken."

49. 12:29-31; "The first of all the commandments is 'Hear, O Israel, the

LORD our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the LORD your God

with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all

your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is

this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other

commandment greater than these."

50. 12:35-38; "How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of

David? For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The LORD said to my

Lord, Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.'

Therefore David himself calls Him 'Lord'; how is He then his Son?" In

this Jesus declares both the inspiration of the Scriptures and His being

greater than David - man and God. ("And the common people heard Him

gladly")

51. 12:38-40; "Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in ling robes,

love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and

the best places at feasts, who devour widows houses and for a pretense

make long prayers. These will receive the greater condemnation."

52. 12:42-44; "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more

than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out oftheir abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her

whole livelihood."

53. 13:2-37. These verses have special instructions of direction and warning

and must not be ignored or overlooked. No prophecy is of private

interpretation, and the apostles words must be properly understood

through the very words of Jesus. As many believe the times we live in to

be the last days - the times for the fulfillment of these verses and other key

verses found in Danial and Revelation - as you study these things, always

remember what Jesus said. ***

54. 2; "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left uponanother, that shall not be thrown down." 'Peter, James, John and Andrew

asked Him privately, 'Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be

the sighn when all these things will be fulfilled?'

55. 5-8; "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My

name, saying, 'I am He,' and will deceive many. But when you hear of

wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must



happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and

kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various

places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of

sorrows.

56. 9-13; "But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to

councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought

before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. And the

gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you

and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will

speak. But whatever is given to you in that hour, speak that; for it is not

you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. Now brother will betray brother to

death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and

cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name's

sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

57. 14-20; "So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' speken of by

Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, then let those who are in

Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down

into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house. And let him

who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are

pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray

that your flight may not be in the winter. For in those days there will be

tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which

God created until this time, nor ever shall be. And unless the Lord had

shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake,

whom He chose, He shortened the days.

58. 21-23; "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ! or, 'Look,

He is there!' do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise

and show sighns and wonders to deceive, if possible, even teh elect. But

take heed; see I have told you all things beforehand.

59. 24-27; "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened,

and the moon will not give its light; the stars of heaven will fall, and the

powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man

coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send

His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the

farthest part of the earth to the farthest part of heaven. 60. 28-31; "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has

already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is

near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is

near - at the very doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no

means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will

pass away, bu My words will by no means pass away.



61. 32-37; "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in

heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for

you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country,

who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work,

and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not

know when the master of teh house is coming - in the evening, at midnight,

at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning - lest coming suddenly, he

find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all. Watch!"

62. 14:6-9; "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good

work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you

wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always. She has done

what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.

Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole

world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."

63. 14:22-26 (Matt 26-29) Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper at the Passover

meal. "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it,

and gave it to them and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." Then He took

the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to tehm, and they all

drank from it. And He said to them, "This is My blood of the new

covenant, which is shed for many. Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer

drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the

kingdom of God."

64. 14:36; "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away

from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will."

65.

14:38; "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeedis willing, but the flesh is weak."

66. 14:49; "I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize

Me. But the scriptures must be fulfilled."

67. 14:61-62; "Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, 'Are You the

Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the

Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the

clouds of heaven."

68. 15:2; "Then Pilate asked Him, 'Are you the King of the Jews?' He

answered and said to him, "It is as you say."

69. 16:15,16; "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe

will be condemned.

70. 16:17-20; "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name

they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take

up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt

them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." So then,



after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and

sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached

everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word

through the accompanying signs. Amen."

Each of the gospel accounts have similarities, just as each has a uniquenessin the accounts they give of Jesus Christ and His teachings. This point isbut half way through the accounting. Each teaching has a purpose in eithershedding light on how we are to walk in life or where we are walking. Thislight is what I consider the Dayspring of our lives spoken of by Zacharias'prophecy in 1:78,79; to guide our feet in the way of peace. Jesus is the dawnand light which has come to show us life and how to live. Luke is perhapsthe most complete gospel account, but let's go over it and see how itcompare to the other accounts regarding the teachings of Jesus.

1. Luke 2:49; "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must beabout My Father's business?"

2. 4:4; "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by everyword of God."

3. 4:8; "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shallserve."

4. 4:12; "You shall not tempt the LORD your God."

5. 4:18,19,21; "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He hasanointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal

the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recoveryof sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Toproclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." "Today this Scripture isfulfilled in your hearing."

6. 4:23-27; "You will surely say this proverb to Me, 'Physician, healyourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also herein Your country.' Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted inhis own country. But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel inthe days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six

months and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but tonone of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region ofSidon, to a woman who was a widow. And many lepers were in Israelin the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansedexcept Naaman the Syrian."

7. 4:43; "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also,because for this purpose I have been sent."



8. 5:4; "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." 9. 5:10; "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men."

10. 5:12-14; "And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold,a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and

implored Him, saying, 'Lord, if You are willing, You can make meclean.' Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, "I amwilling, be cleansed." Immediately the leprosy left him. And Hecharged him to tell no one, "But go and show yourself to the priest,and make an offering for your cleansing, as a testimony to them, justas Moses commanded."

11. 5:16; Here we find an action Jesus did that may be an example to us:"So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed."

12. 5:20; "When He saw their faith, He said to him, 'Man, your sins areforgiven you.'"

13. 6:5; "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."

14. 20; 'Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:"Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

15. 21; "Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled."

16. 21; "Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh."

17. 22; "Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you,and revile you and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man'ssake."

18. 23; "Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is

great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets." 19. 24; "But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your

consolation. 20. 25; "Woe to you who are full, for you shall hunger. 21. 25; "Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall morn and weep."

22. 26; "Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did theirfathers to the false prophets."

23. 27; "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to thosewho hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those whospitefully use you."

24. 29; "To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also."

As mentioned earlier in Matthew, Jesus said thisteaching is not able to be accepted by everyone, but only those towhom it was given. This teaching clearly shows the need that weexplore and grasp the complete record of His teachings and not takeHis word beyond the wholeness of what He taught. If we only takethe passages where this is taught and exclude the other it may bringmuch grief that is unnecessary.

140.19-31; "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple andfine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certainbeggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiringto be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table.Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that thebeggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. Therich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades , he



lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in hisbosom. Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me,and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water andcool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' But Abraham said,

'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things,and likewise, Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and youare tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to youcannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' Then he said, 'I beg youtherefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, for Ihave five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come tothis place of torment.' Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the

prophets, let them hear them.' And he said, 'No, Father Abraham, butif one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' But he said to

him, ' If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"

141.17:1-4; " It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to himthrough whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstonewere hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, thanthat he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed toyourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him, and if herepents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a dayand seven times in a day returns to you saying, 'I repent,' you shall

forgive him."

142.6-10; "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to thismulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,'and it would obey you. And which of you, having a servant plowingor tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field,'Come at once and sit down to eat'? But will he not rather say to him,'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me tillI have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'? Doeshe thank that servant because he did the things that were commandedhim? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all thosethings which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants.We have done what was our duty to do."

143.11-19; 'Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passedthrough the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered acertain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stoodafar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, 'Jesus, Master, have



mercy on us!' So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, showyourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they werecleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed,returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his

face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where arethe nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory toGod except this foreigner?" And He said to him, "Arise, go your way.Your faith has made you well."

144.20,21; 'Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdomof God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom ofGod does not come with observation ; nor will they say, 'See, here!' or"See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

145.22-24; "The days will come when you will desire to see one of the

days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And they will say toyou, 'Look, here! or 'Look there!' Do not go after them or followthem."

146.24; "For as the lightning that flashes out of one part of heaven shinesto the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in Hisday."

147.25; "But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by thisgeneration."

148.26-30; " And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days

of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, theywere given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, andthe flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in thedays of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, theyplanted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom itrained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Evenso will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed ."

149.31-34; "In that day, he who is on the housetop and his goods are inthe house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewisethe one who is in the field, let him nottrun back. Remember Lot'swife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loseshis life will preserve it."

150.37; 'And they answered and said to Him, 'Where, Lord?' So He saidto them, "Wherever the eagles will be gathered together."

151.18:1-7; Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought topray and not lose heart, saying: "There was in a certain city a judge



who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow inthat city; and she came to him, saying, 'Get justice for me from myadversary.' And he would not for a while, but afterward he saidwithin himself, 'Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet

because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by hercontinual coming she wary me.' Then the Lord said, "Hear what theunjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cryout day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell youthat He will avenge them speedily."

152.8; "Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really findfaith on the earth?"

153.9-14; Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselvesthat they were righteous and despised others: "Two men went up tothe temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The

Pharisee stook and prayed thus with himself, 'God I thank You that Iam notlike other men - extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as thistax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.'And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raisehis eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying 'God, be merciful to mea sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified ratherthan the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, andhe who humbles himself will be exalted."

154.15-17; 'Then they also brought infants toHim that He might touch

them; but when the disciples saw it, they rubuked them. But Jesuscalled them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, anddo not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, Isay to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a littlechild will by no means enter it."

155.18-22; 'Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, 'Good Teacher, whatshall I do to inherit eternal life?' So Jesus said to him, "Why do youcall Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know thecommandments: 'Do not commit adultery', 'Do not murder,' 'Do notsteal', 'Do not bear false witness', 'Honor your father and yourmother.'" And he said, 'All these things I have kept from my youth.'So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, "You still lack onething: Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor and you willhave treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." But when he heardthis, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.'



156.24-27; "'And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said,"How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom ofGod! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle thanfor a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." And those who heard it

said, 'Who then can be saved?' But He said, "The things which areimpossible with men are possible with God."

157.29,30; "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house orparents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom ofGod, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, andin the age to come eternal life."

158.31-33; "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that arewritten by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will beaccomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and bemocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill

Him. And the third day He will rise again." 159.39-42; "'Then those who went before warned him that he should be

quiet; but he cried out all the more, 'Son of David, have mercy onme!' So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him.And when he had come near, He asked him, saying, "What do youwant Me to do for you?" He said, 'Lord that I may receive my sight.'Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight, your faith has made youwell."

160.19:1-9; Jesus comes to Zacchaeus' house. Note the story of how he

sought Jesus and of Jesus accepting his invitation, as well asZacchaeus doing works of repentance and restitution and even givinghalf of all his goods to the poor. "And Jesus said to him, "Todaysalvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

161.11-27; "But bring here those who did not want me to reign over them,and slay them before me."

162.46; "It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,' but you have madeit a den of thieves."

163.20:17,18; 'Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this that iswritten: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chiefcornerstone'? Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but onwhomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

164.23,24; "Why do you test Me? ShowMe a denarius. Whose image andinscription does it have?" They answered and said, 'Caecar's.' And He



said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things of Ceasar's, andto God the things that are God's."

165.34-36; "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. Butthose who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection

from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can theydie anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God,being sons of the resurrection."

166.37,38; "But even Moses showed in the burning bush passge that thedead are raised, when he called the Lord 'the God of Abraham, theGod of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' For He is not the God of the deadbut of the living, for all live to Him."

167.41-44; "How can they say that the Christ is the Son of David? NowDavid himself said in the Book of Psalms: 'The Lord said to my Lord,Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.'

Therefore David calls Him 'Lord', how is He then his Son?"

168.46,47; "Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes,love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues,and the best places at feasts, who devour widows' houses, and for apretense make long prayers. These will receive greatercondemnation."

169.21:1-4; 'And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into thetreasury, and He saw a certain poor widow putting in two mites. SoHe said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than

all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God,but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had."

170.5-38; In our time this section of teaching seems especially important.There are a number of warnings and commandments and propheciesgiven that need to be taken as Jesus gave them and in a balanced viewof His direct teaching. 5,6; 'Then, as some spoke of thetemple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, Hesaid, "These things which you see - the days will come in which notone stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down."

171.7,8; 'So they asked Him, saying, 'Teacher,but when will these thingsbe? And what sign will there be when these things are about to takeplace?' And He said to them, "Take heed that you not be deceived."

172.8; "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and 'The timehas drawn near.' "Therefore do not go after them."



173.9; "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified;for these things must come to pass first; but the end will not comeimmediately."

174.10; 'Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and

kingdom against kingdom."

175.11; "And there will be great earthquakes in various places, andfamines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and greatsigns from heaven."

176.12; "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you andpersecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. Youwill be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake."

177.13; "But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony." 178.14, 15; "Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand

on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom

which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist." 179.16, 17; "You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives

and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And you will behated by all for My name's sake."

180.18; "But not a hair of your head shall be lost."

181.19; "By your patience possess your souls."

182.20-24 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then knowthat its desolation is near. Let those who are in Judea flee to themountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not

those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days ofvengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Butwoe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies inthose days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrathupon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and beled away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled byGentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

183.25-27; The previous verses speak to the destruction of Jerusalem andscattering of the Jews to all nations that happened about AD 70.These next verses, due to the events prophesied, are for the signs ofthe fulfillment of the 'times of the Gentiles' and of which Paul likelyspoke of as the time when the 'fullness of the Gentiles' would beaccomplished. 25; "Andthere will be signs in the sun,

186.25; "and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, 187.25; "the sea and the waters roaring; 188.26; "men's hearts failing them for fear and the expectation of those

things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens

will be shaken."

189.27; "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with powerand great glory."

190.28; "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up yourheads, because your redemption draws near."

191.29-33; 'Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and allthe trees. When they are already budding, you see and know foryourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see thesethings happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly,I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things

take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will byno means pass away."

192.34; "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed downwith carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day comeon you unexpectedly."

193.35; "For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face ofthe whole earth."

194.36; "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be countedworthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand

before the Son of Man."

195.22:14-22; 'When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelveapostles with Him. Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I havedesired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, Iwill no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this anddivide it among yourselves, for I say to you, I will not drink of thefruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." Then He took thebread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This isMy body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."Likewise He also took the cup after supper saying, "This cup is thenew covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. But behold, thehand of My betrayer is with Me on the table. And truly the Son ofMan goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whomHe is betrayed!"



196.25-27; "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, andthose who exercise authority over them are called 'benefactors.' Butnot so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, lethim be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. For

who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not hewho sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves." 197.28-30; "But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials.

And I bestow upon you a kingdom; just as My Father bestowed oneupon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, andsit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

198.36-37; But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewisea knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment andbuy one. For I say to you that this which is written must still beaccomplished in Me. 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.'

For the things concerning Me have an end."

199.40; "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."

200.42; "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me;nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done."

201.67-70; 'If You are the Christ, tell us.' But He said to them, "If I tell you,you will by no means believe. And if I also ask you, you will by nomeans answer Me or let Me go. Hereafter the Son of Man will sit onthe right hand of the power of God." Then they all said, 'Are Youthen the Son of God?' So He said to them, "You rightly say that I am."

202.28-31; Spoken on the way to the cross to mourning women:"Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep foryourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming inwhich they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore,and breasts which never nursed!' Then whey will begin to say to themountains, 'Fall on us!' and to the hills, 'Cover us!' For if they dothese things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?"

203.34; "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."

204.43; "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." 205.44-46; 'Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over

all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, andthe veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried outwith a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Your hands I commit Myspirit."

206.25-27; "O foolish ones, and slow of hart to believe in all that theprophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these



things and to enter into His glory?" And beginning at Moses and allthe Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the thingsconcerning Himself.'

207.36-39; "Peace to you." But they were terrified and frightened, and

supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, "Why are youtroubled? And why do doubts arise in our hearts? Behold My handsand My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit doesnot have flesh and bones as you see I have."

208.44, 45; 'Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke toyou while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled whichwere written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalmsconcerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that theymight comprehend the Scriptures.'

209.46-53; "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to

suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance andremission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations,beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in thecity of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His handsand blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, thatHe was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And theyworshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were

continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

1. John 3:3-8; "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, hecannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can aman be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into hismother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say

to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter thekingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and thatwhich is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you,'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and youhear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where itgoes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."



2. 9-17; 'Nicodemus answered and said to Him, 'How can these thingsbe?' Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel,and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, Wespeak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not

receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do notbelieve, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No onehas ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is,the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpentin the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, thatwhoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ForGod so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, thatwhoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,but that the world through Him might be saved."

3. 18-21; "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who doesnot believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in thename of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation,that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness ratherthan light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evilhates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should beexposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deedsmay be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

4. 4:10; "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,

'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would havegiven you living water."

5. 13,14; "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoeverdrinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But thewater that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of waterspringing up into everlasting life."

6. 22; "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship,for salvation is of the Jews."

7. 23; "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshiperswill worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seekingsuch to worship Him."

8. 24; "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spiritand truth."

9. 25; Jesus claim to the Samaritan woman to be the Messiah/Christ: "Iwho speak to you am He."

10. 32; "I have food to eat of which you do not know."



11. 34; "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish Hiswork."

12. 35-38; "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comesthe harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the

fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reapsreceives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he whosows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying istrue: 'One sows and another reaps.' I sent you to reap that for whichyou have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered intotheir labors."

13. 48; "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no meansbelieve."

14. 5:16,17; 'For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to killHim, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus

answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I havebeen working."'

15. 18-23; 'Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because Henot only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father,making Himself equal with God. Then Jesus answered and said tothem, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing ofHimself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatsoever He does, theSon also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and showsHim all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater

works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises thedead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom Hewill. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment tothe Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father.He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sentHim."

16. 24; "Most assuredly, I say to you,he who hears My word and believesiin Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."

17. 25-27; "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is,when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those whohear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has grantedthe Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority toexecute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man."

18. 28-29; "Do not marvel at this, for the hour is coming in which all whoare in the graves will hear His voice and come forth- those who have



done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, tothe resurrection of condemnation."

19. 30; "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgmentis righteous because I do not seek My own will but the will of the

Father who sent Me."

20. 31,32; "If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. There isanother who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness whichHe witnesses of Me is true. Yet I do not receive testimony from man,but I say these things that you may be saved."

21. 33-36; "You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth.Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things thatyou might be saved. He was the burning and shining lamp, and youwere willing for a time to rejoice in his light. But I have a greaterwitness than John's; for the works which the Father has given Me to

finish - the very works that I do - bear witness of Me, that the Fatherhas sent Me."

22. 37,38; "And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me.You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. Butyou do not have His word abiding in you because whom He sent,Him you do not believe."

23. 39,40; "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you haveeternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are notwilling to come to Me that you may have life."

24. 44; "How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, anddo not seek the honor that comes from the only God?"

25. 45-47; "Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is onewho accuses you - Moses, in whom you trust. For if you believedMoses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you donot believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

26. 6:26,27; "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because yousaw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Donot labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which enduresto everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because Godthe Father has set His seal on Him."

27. 28,29; 'Then they said to Him, 'What shall we do, that we may workthe works of God?' Jesus answered and said to them, "This is thework of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."

28. 32,33; "Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the breadfrom heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.



For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and giveslife to the world."

29. 35; "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger,and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."

30.

36; "But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe."

31. 37-40; "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one whocomes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down fromheaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has givenMe, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. Andthis is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Sonand believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him upat the last day."

33. 43-35; "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me drawshim; and I will raise him up at the last day."

34. 43-45; "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught byGod.' Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Fathercomes to Me."

35. 46; "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God;He has seen the Father."

36. 47-51; "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me haseverlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in

the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes downfrom heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living breadwhich came down from heaven. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternallife, and I will raise Him up at the last day. For My flesh is foodindeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh anddrinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sentMe, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will livebecause of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven - notas your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this breadwill live forever."

37. 61-65; 'When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complainedabout this, He said to them, "Does this offend you? What then if you



should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is theSpirit who gives life; and the flesh profits nothing. The words that Ispeak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of youwho do not believe." "Therefore I have said to you that no one can

shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is notthe shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wold comingand leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep andscatters them. came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whomthe Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,'because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? If I do not do the works of MyFather, do not believe Me, but if I do, though you do not believe Me,believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father isin Me, and I in Him." Therefore they sought again to seize Him, butHe escaped out of their hand.

157.19:7-11; 'The Jews answered him, 'We have a law, and according to

our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.'Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, andwent again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, 'Where are Youfrom?' But Jesus gave him no answer. Then Pilate said to Him, 'AreYou not speaking tome? Do You not know that I have power tocrucify You, and power to release You?' Jesus answered,"You couldhave no power at all against Me unless it had been given you fromabove. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greatersin."

158.30; 'So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It isfinished!"And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.'

159.20:17; "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father,but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Fatherand your Father, and to My God and your God."

160.21; "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."



161.22; 'And when He had said this He breathed on them, and said tothem, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgiven the sins of any, theyare forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

162.26-29; 'And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and

Thomas witih them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood inthe midst, and said, "Peace to you!" Then He said to Thomas,"Reachyour finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here,and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing." AndThomas answered and said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesussaid to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

163.21:12; "Come and eat breakfast."

164.15; "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?"

165.15; "Feed My lambs."

166.16; "Tend My sheep."

167.17; "feed My sheep."

So ends the accounts in the four books of the gospels. Remaining yet are afew things in Acts and finally in Revelation.

1. Acts 1:4-8; 'And being assembled together with them, He commanded

them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of theFather "which," He said, "You have heard from Me, for John trulybaptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spiritnot many days from now." Therefore, when they had come together,they asked Him, saying, 'Lord, will You at this time restore thekingdom to Israel?' And He said to them, "It is not for you to knowtimes or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. Butyou shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; andyou shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea andSamaria, and to the end of the earth."

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Finally, the matters are shown beyond the gospel accounts. Jesus gave thefinal revelation of Himself to John. There is a blessing given to those whohear the message of this book as well as a curse to anyone who would



change it in any way. The opening passages are given as messages to theseven churches of Asia. Some have come to believe these could be messagesto the various ages or stages of the Church and that we are in the seventhage now. Based on my understanding to date, due to the nature of His word

gleaned from the earlier teachings, I am going to presume theseteachings/commandments apply to all. They are words of encouragementand blessing, as well as words of rebuke and coming judgement upon thosewho are not living as He said to. I make no pretension to know it all, butthe things are so obvious that it must be mentioned here and we’d beremiss to neglect this fact of the Christian faith. This is not mentioned tocondemn, but to remind us of the complete revelation of those things Hegave us that pertain to life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

It is certainly with a sense of awe, fear and respect for the words of Jesus

Christ that I even give partial quotes of the book here, and with the fact thatwe are to hear them and take time to read them again in the wholeness ofthe book in which they have been recorded. Read the book for yourself andbe blessed as He has promised as you heed His words because of Who He isknowing that He upholds His word higher than His name.

Starting with Revelation 1;(NKJV)

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants- things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by Hisangel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to thetestimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who readsand those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those thingswhich are written in it; for the time is near.

"John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:

"Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come,and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus

Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler overthe kings of the earth.

"To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, andhas made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory anddominion forever and ever. Amen.



"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord,"who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

To Ephesus was written:

"I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bearthose who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostlesand are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and havepatience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the firstworks, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand fromits place - unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds ofthe Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Tohim who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in themidst of the Paradise of God."

Interjecting a point here, how can we not judge if we are to test those whomake claims to be apostles of Jesus Christ and find them to be liars? In theholy scriptures God gives us tests to use. This supports the teachings thatwe are to test all things and uphold that which is good. This implies weidentify those things which are not good and true and in so doing we are

judging, but these must be done according to Gods word. Jesus supportsdiscernment of light and darkness, and that in the discernment that weabide in the light of His word. This also supports the scriptures which tellso clearly that we can do all things, but if we have not love, we are nothingbut a noise. We must be about the business of truth and love by the wordsof God, not of ourselves. Abide in the love of God. Jesus plainly said: "Ifyou love me you will keep My commandments".

"And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the

First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life; "I know your works,tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy ofthose who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Donot fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devilis about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and youwill have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give youthe crown of life.



"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Hewho overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."

"And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, These things says Hewho has the sharp two-edged sword: I know your works, and where youdwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did notdeny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr,who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. But I have a few thingsagainst you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam,who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, toeat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus youhave those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them withthe sword of My mouth.

"He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to thechurches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna toeat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone, a new namewritten which no one knows except him who receives it."

"And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,

"These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, andHis feet like fine brass. I know your works, love, service, faith, and your

patience, and as for your works, the last are more than the first.Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow thatwoman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce Myservants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. AndI gave her time to repent of her sexual immoralty, and she did not repent.Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery withher into great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill herchildren with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He whosearches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according

to your works.

"Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have thisdoctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put onyou no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he whoovercomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give powerover the nations -



‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;

They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ -

"I also have received from My Father, and I will give him the morning star.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

"And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,

"These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:I know your works, that you have a name that your are alive, but you aredead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are readyto die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remembertherefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Thereforeif you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will notknow what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even inSardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me inwhite, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in whitegarments and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I willconfess his name before My Father and before His angels.


"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key ofDavid, He who opens and no one shuts and shuts and no one opens. I knowyour works. See, I have set before you and open door, and no one can shutit; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not deniedMy name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who saythey are Jews and are not, but he - indeed I will make them come andworship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because youhave kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of

trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on theearth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no onemay take your crown. He who overcomes I will make him a pillar in thetemple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him thename of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem,



which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on himMy new name.


"And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

"These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginningof the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, andneither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘Iam rich; have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ - and do notknow that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked - I counselyou to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white

garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness maynot be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. Asmany as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opensthe door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To himwho overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcameand sat down with My Father on His throne.


Revelation 16 finds a blessing; "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed ishe who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they seehis shame." This is near found in relation to the pouring out of the sixthbowl of the wrath of God associated with Armageddon. I can understandwhy many see the warning to the Laodiceans as the end time church.

Finally the revelation of Jesus Christ ends with His words, "Behold, I amcoming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of thisbook."
