Today, we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Easter. We read from John 14:1-12. In this Sunday’s gospel, Jesus spoke to his followers, reassuring them that they should not be afraid. He told them that in his Father’s house there are many rooms, and that he would go to prepare a place for them. Thomas was still unsure and asked Jesus how they would find the way to him. Jesus answered Thomas in words that are true for us too: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Let us follow Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life – to the “house” of our Father, God.
