The First Orphan…Lucifer

“You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to the heavens;I will raise my throne above the stars of God;I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;I will make myself like the Most High.’” (Isa 14:13,14)

“Your heart became proud on account of your beauty and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth: I made a spectacle of you before kings” “ (Eze 28:17)

Origin of the Orphan Spirit

God is the Father of all creation

The Father had a plan for his family

He prepared the garden of Eden (a perfect place to raise a family)

He created Adam (son of God) and Eve in His image (special care…face to face encounter). The first voice, the first touch, the first emotion that Adam experienced was that of a loving father. Same thing for Eve.

He blessed them to be happy with all good things

Orphan Spirit passed to Generations

It is for us to experience His expressed love and to give it away to the next person we meet.

• The Great Commandment (Mt 22:37-39)…Intimacy“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…Love your neighbor as yourself”

• The Great Commission (Mt 28:19)…Fruitfulness“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,…”

The Father’s Mission

The foundation of intimacy with God..realization that we are His happy thought.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness” (Jer 31:3)

“The LORD your God is with you, he mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zeph 3:17)

“For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came from (Jn 16:27)

“How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes are doves…” (Song 1:15,16)

I am the Father’s Happy Thought

1. The need for unconditional expressed love

2. The need to feel secure and comforted

3. The need for praise and affirmation

4. The need for a purpose in life, a sense of value

Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. (Lk 15:11-16)

A Parable of the Father with Two Sons

When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. (Lk 15:17-20)

The Prodigal Son

But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ (24-28)
