SWA NEWSMy client would be the SWA Students. I will tell them what the staffs at our school not telling them are not telling them.

Time Allowed: 8 weeks

Unit question: Can we trust everything we see and hear in the media?

Specification and limitation:

You can get my newsletter when I hand it out, after I print it. You can’t get my newsletter if I haven’t print it. I would be successful if everyone got my newsletter. But printing at school is expensive so I would just print at home.

For my specification and limitation, I need my newsletter to be reliable, factual, entertaining, and informative.

INTRODUCTION

SWA Students want to know what the teachers and staff are not telling them about the school. Therefore, I shall create a site for SWA news. We had to choose between news paper or online news. I chose online news. It would be easier to make online news because our school has wi-fi and laptops.

Trough 8 weeks, I will make a newsletter about SWA. To make this newsletter, I have to go trough some steps, like, investigation, design, plan, create and evaluation.

IMPACT ON SOCIETY AND ENVIRONMENT

The target audience are the students of SWA. Teachers, staffs and guests also can read my newsletter.

The impact on the environment is that I need to print my newsletter. Paper is produced by trees. So the more I print, the more trees that we are going to lose. Less trees are bad for the environment because we need trees for making stuff, shade, and trees create oxygen.

6. The good thing is an online news has accurate information and the bad thing is you cannot access it when you don’t have a computer and an internet connection.

Pros: I like it because it shows important information and links.

Cons: It is not neat and the title is weird.

DESIGN 1:I like this design because it has all the subjects that we learned and important links. But there isn’t any links

to the gallery, to show our school pictures.

Cons: Too simple and it needs more pictures and description.

I don’t like design 3 because it is too plain and the readers wouldn’t be interested in reading this, because there are only pictures and words.

I think the best design is “Design 1- Website” because it is organized and neat. Even if it’s fancy, it still fits perfectly together. It’s very clear and easy to read, so I could understand what to do and where to go. The links are also precise and it fits for all age viewers.-Annisa

POINTS OF THE PRODUCT

SUCCESSFUL: I think I really did well at the plan stage, because the pictures are clear and people can understand it, even without words. I found some good pictures from google and those pictures are useful for my planning stage. It is aesthetically pleasing for me because the colors are nice and the colors are compatible with each other so it doesn’t make the design look weird.

LEAST SUCCESSFUL: I think I did the least best and need to improve is the investigation stage. Because I have very little information and I need to research more about sites and such.
