JCT Contracts Select is in essence a licence agreement between your firm and us.

The agreement gives you access to www.jctselect.com where you can download the selected JCT Contracts in Word format. You can then edit and amend your chosen contract, within specified boundaries, to create a bespoke contract unique to your project. The resulting contract will be marked and referred to as ‘An Amended version of a standard JCT contract’

In addition to more flexibility when drafting, the Word tracked changes functionality makes viewing the iterations of the contracts clearer for yourself and your client. During the drafting process, and when presenting the final version, both parties can see how the contract has evolved from the original JCT Contract, alongside the clean untracked version.

We understand that a complicated project demands a contract that can change and evolve to reflect negotiations.

JCT Contracts Select is a premium service, offering exclusive accessibility and editing of 16 JCT Contracts to a limited number of leading UK construction law firms. It gives you the solid base of a JCT Contract, but with the freedom to adapt clauses as you need to.

What are the basics of the service?• Your agreement with us will give you access to JCT

Contracts Select for 12 months• Access to the site is password protected, with login details

supplied for 1 named administrator • The administrator will save the contract to a designated

folder, rather than a personal drive or elsewhere• Once downloaded, the contract can be used by an

unlimited number of internal users

Using, sharing and emailing the contract• Each time you begin a new contract, you will need to add a

Contract Number in the specified field, from a list supplied by us

• The Contract will automatically include a footer stating “This is an amended version of a standard JCT contract. A tracked change version is attached or will be provided on request”.

• When sending the draft externally, add the DRAFT watermark and save this as a read-only PDF

• You will be able to save a draft that shows the tracked changes, and a ‘clean’ iteration of the contract without the tracked changes, using the standard Word functionality

JCT CONTRACTS EDITION 2011

The new suite of JCT Contracts reflects the changes brought about by the new Construction Act that came into force on 1 October. This covers the new payment legislation and other updates.

JCT CONTRACTS 2005

The 2005 suite (which includes the 2009 revisions), has now been superseded by the 2011 Edition, however we know many of you still wish to access the JCT 2005 suite so we have provided them here.

JCT TRACKED CHANGE DOCUMENTS

The Tracked Change Documents show the changes between the 2011 Edition and the 2005 suite of JCT Contracts. These are included for your reference as non editable PDFs.

SELECT UNLIMITED£8000 This option gives you the freedom to use as many contracts as you wish.

SELECT CHOICE£5000 + £250 for each contract used up to a threshold of 20 contracts. You will not be charged for usage above the 20 contract mark.

You will be invoiced each month and charged based on your recorded usage.
