APS Blast screens may be installed immediately adjacent to baggagehandling areas or other airport operations areas where personnel orproperty require protection from the hazards of jet blast.

The standard material of the APS blast screen is heavy duty steel that ishot dipped galvanized for excellent corrosion resistance. Several factors determine the height of the blast screen:

- The type of area requiring protection. - The distance from the screen location to the aircraft.- The distance from the screen location to the area requiring protection.- The type of aircraft and the power settings used.

90% of all requirements are handled by the three standard heights of 3m (10’), 4.5m (14’-9”) and 6m (20’). Naturally, intermediate heights can be supplied if required for a particular application.
