Summary20+ years experience w/ IT, Software Development, Telecommunications, Project Management, Process ImprovementIve worked in Education, Accounting, Software Development, and Telecommunications companies and have always been looked as a Subject Matter Expert. I am a highly intelligent person and a quick learner. I take responsibility for my assignments and get the job done.I am a proven leader, empowering those that are around me. I find solutions to problems and work through those with my reports, colleagues and management. I engulf myself in understanding the technology behind my assignments and work to improve the processes therein.

Experience7/15 - presentAs a Senior Project Manager I am responsible for planning, scheduling and managing strategic projects across the entire company footprint as well as continuous process improvement. This includes software deployments and upgrades, firmware upgrades and hardware deployments and decommissioning. A typical project would require that: (1) I collect requirements from engineering, (2) prepare these requirements into a project plan, (3) plug that project plans phases into existing project rollouts based on schedule, resource needs and priority, (4) confirm resource and hardware / software readiness, (5) manage the actual deployment ensuring work is completed and properly verified and (6) then communicating the final status of the individual deployment and project. This could be as small as a code object being updated in a single market to a multi-night coordinated hardware / software deployments across each of the markets simultaneously. Projects span multiple internal and external work groups and require coordination and negotiation with resources across these diverse groups. My technical acumen allows me to work with multiple levels of technical and managerial resources while ensuring that vision, direction and responsibilities are clearly defined and documented.

Comcast5/10 5/15As a Senior Technical Project Manager I was responsible deploying hardware and software across Comcasts 95 national locations. This consisted of 1) analysis of current utilization to determine areas in need 2) quote, submission and procurement process with external vendors through to Comcast finance 3) tracking, warehouse management and shipment of equipment to market 4) coordination of site preparedness (facilities, network, etc.) 5) coordination of technical resources to turn up equipment 6) ticket submissions for all internal processes 7) task management and reporting throughout process through MS Excel, MS Project and other internal systems using the AGILE PM Method. Throughout this process I served as a SME of the process, mentoring and training fellow employees on existing procedures and creating new procedures as needed. I have the ability to speak with key resources at all phases of the project from the very technical to the very process oriented. Negotiations through each step were important as each step required someone with multiple priorities on their day giving your tasks the priority. Each location has unique timetable, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects at different phases simultaneously.Other responsibilities included serving on multiple internal panels focused on process improvement. This involved working through processes, eliminating unnecessary steps and trimming down as many internal time consumers as possible. Through this we improved deployment timeframes from 6-9 months down to ~4 months.

Charter Communications12/14 5/15As the Agile Product Lead I was responsible for the gathering, preparation and delivery of all transaction / migration related data to our partners in Charter Engineering in preparation for the planned merger with Comcast and Time Warner Cable. I lead a team of thirteen engineers through the collection of this data using the Agile Project Management framework with Atlassian JIRA to keep track of these items and report on them. I ran bi-weekly sprints across three unique teams, managing their backlog, setting priorities and controlling additional requests that came in during individual sprint cycles. I then formalized and presented the teams findings to upper management and also published it all to our Confluence Wiki.I was also responsible for reaching out to other groups within Charter to determine potential areas that my team could assist them. This included helping them to understand how our particular expertise could benefit them and where it would fit within what they were trying to accomplish.

N2Broadband / Tandberg Television / Ericsson2/01 5/10I started out as employee #19 at a startup (N2Broadband) and immediately became the go-to SME with the companys top software projects. Promoted to Manager of Customer Integration in less than a year and lead a team of 10-15 engineers that supported the companys software internally (QA, Engineering, Operations) as well as externally (Installation, Upgrade, Support). This included initial deployments of hardware and software across all of Time Warner Cable as well as major onsite upgrades (Solaris/Oracle) two years later. Given limited resources compared with growing resource need I also had to work to prioritize work and ensure that tasks were completed by the right resource, given the right priority and properly completed. Extensive work on clustered remote systems running Solaris, Oracle and Linux to support custom Java application. Use of command line tools for system administration and troubleshooting along with Python and Shell scripting. The software required code-level integration with third party partners requiring ability to smoothly work with others outside of the company to provide timely solutions to customers. As Senior Systems Architect I continued to serve as SME over my products, taking that one step further by performing audits at customer sites and presenting my findings / recommendations back to the customer. This required diagramming of existing system processes and procedures as well as configurations and development of recommended changes for smoother operation. During this time I also took part in and carried out complex customer solutions given my knowledge of products and ability to think outside the box. Continued to mentor other engineers in both our products and the best ways to troubleshoot and support them.
