JANUARY FEBRUARY MARCH 2014 C HEROKEE STRIP C REDIT UNION Rick Menton named new credit union president e CSCU board of directors has named Rick Menton as the interim credit union president and CEO. e appointment was effective Nov. 18, 2013. “We were fortunate that Rick was available,” Dr. Robert Howard, president, board of directors, said. “Rick has more than 40 years of widely varied experience in every aspect of credit union activities.” Menton’s expertise includes strategic planning, project management, marketing and fi- nance with credit unions in Oklahoma and Minnesota. He is the founder and president of Menton Consulting, Inc., in Tulsa. “Credit union personnel throughout Oklahoma speak highly of Rick’s skills and ex- perience,” Howard added. “We’ve seen Rick demonstrate his knowledge during training sessions and audit checks with CSCU. “Rick’s availability more or less fell into our laps,” Howard said. “He has a high energy level, lots of ideas, and statewide and national credit union connections. e board felt the CSCU couldn’t pass up this opportunity.” Cherokee Strip Credit Union president Howard Sissel retired on Nov. 15, 2013. At a gathering to celebrate his four decades of service, an appreciative Sis- sel thanked his staff , the board of directors and CSCU members for their support. “Everyone involved with Howard appreciates his dedication and long service to the credit union,” Dr. Robert Howard, president, board of directors, said. “We’re going to miss him.” Sissel and his wife, Ruth Ann, are excited about the change in their lives. They are looking forward to new adventures, traveling, garden- ing and spending time with family and friends. Diane Caid, mortgage loan officer, retired on Dec. 15 with over 9 years of service to Chero- kee Strep Credit Union. CSCU wishes them long and happy retirements. Rick Menton named new credit union presidentTh e CSCU board of directors has named Rick Menton as the interim credit union president and CEO.
