Praise God! Nine year old David Fleming is out of surgery and doing well. David is Bob and Reta Bentz’s neighbor, he recently had open heart surgery to relocate an artery in his heart.

Cody James ConcertJanuary 10th, 6:30 pmFree event! Everyone Welcome! A native of north Minneapolis, Cody James had a successful music career in Nashville. While it appeared Cody was having a great life, he also struggled with a void in his life, evidenced by a 24 year battle with addiction, along with incarceration and a desire to take his own life. In the midst of no hope, God spoke and Cody began to seek His Higher Power. Now delivered from addiction, Cody lives in the Twin Cities with his wife and three daughters. Cody sings and speaks about his testimony around the country. Please join us at the Alexandria Covenant Church as we hear more about God’s transforming power. For more information contact Steve or Sue at Catalyst Covenant Church, 320-759-1800.

We will be starting a seven week course called, The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It is a plan designed for everyone, regardless of income or age.

There is a $20 cost which pays for the book and workbook, couples can share materials. Please hand in your payment to the church office or seal it in an envelope and drop it in the drop box behind the Welcome

Center. (If you are unable to pay for the book please contact the church office at 763-5659.) Financial Advisors Ken Snyder and Dustin Thornburg will be teaching the class so please sign up at the Welcome Center today. Location: The Family Life Center

Are you ready to be challenged and stretched by God? Are you ready to be the hands and feet of God in Haiti? If you answered “yes”, then please consider coming to the informational meeting. During the trip the team will be working with an orphanage, a school, a church and the community. In every area of the ministry, the team hopes to support and encourage Haitian Christians as well as witness to the unsaved. During the informational meeting we will be presenting the details of the next short term missions trip to Haiti, which is tentatively scheduled for June 10 through June 17. Location: The Family Life Center. If you cannot attend and are interested, please contact Jim Winkels at [email protected] or 320.219.8930

Children’s Bell Choir Rehearsal

January 16th, 10:00 amJanuary 23rd, 10:00 am

Please sign your kids up for the Children’s Bell Choir rehearsal. This is a fun Sunday morning presentation that requires no musical skills. Children between Kindergarten and 6th grade are welcome to join the group which will perform on Sunday January 30th. To sign up, or for more information contact Mary Ronning at 320-763-3558, or [email protected].

First Step is exactly what it sounds like, it offers the first step into the life of our church. Once you’ve attended Sunday morning worship, you might be ready to get connected to the church in a closer way. First Step is designed to give you the basics of what we believe are foundational to the life of every follower of Christ. This is a seven week class, led by Tom Schofield and Steve Lovrien. If you are interested please join before the second week of class so you don’t miss out. Location: The Fireside Room

Plan to have some fun! There will be space for Quilting and Scrap booking, bring your supplies and enjoy spending time with others as you enjoy your hobby. There will be special speakers on

Saturday. Topics include: Personal protection for Women, Volunteering, What to do with flowers and Jewelry Beading. Please bring some money for a box lunch ordered from a local sandwich shop. Snacks will be provided. Please meet in the lower level of the church.

College & CareerMondays, 6:30 pmYoung adults meet at Sheila Smesrud’s Home for a Bible Study. It’s our hope that this can be a group where everyone feels

welcome and can grow together as brothers and sisters in Christ. Located at 720 22nd Avenue East Apt #327 Alexandria.For more information contact Matthew at 763-412-0564.
